I think the 6800gt's could be unlocked to ultras and the 6200's could be flashed to 6600's but i havn't a clue about the LE versions, aside from it being slower. At least the general consensus is that you should get a new graphics card and something like an x1950pro would do you fine.

Its practically exactly the same. The only difference with lost coast is the HDR lighting function which will knock off about 20-30fps depending on your graphics card. The cheapest option would be to turn HDR off and play it that way. On the other hand you could pick up an ati x1950 pro for around £70 and you'd notice a huge difference in speed. You can always overclock your cpu too, i have an ancient athlon64 3000+ and i also got it to 2.4ghz which gave me an extra tiny boost in games. Basically anything faster than a 6800 or x1650 will be better than your current card On the list posted above your card comes in at around 68 or 69 as its just slightly slower than a standard 6600. You can see here that the £70 x1950pro i mentioned gets 37fps instead of the 6600gt's 8fps (the gt version is faster than your LE too). The dark messiah game runs at about 10fps less than lost coast with full settings applied on both games so you can use that as a rough guide for how it'll play. Anything over 25 is alright and anything over 30 is great.

If you put it onto an old setup then its normal as the teeth on the chainring and sprocket will be worn and won't be a perfect fit for the khe.

Have you seen mine up close yet? They may look weak but you can smash them into things all day long and nothing happens to them, the chain won't even come off the cog. Yet with my mech it was an unnecessarily heavy block of metal that was attached to something that kept bending. Which meant i'd have to get off the bike and bend it back before continuing, rather than just carrying on like nohing had happened. Its not like their difficult or expensive to make, and they make the bike look neater with less stuff to worry about.

So long as the bios on the cards is the same its fine. So you can get two cards of the same type and flash one of them with the same bios as the first and it'll work fine. You might find flashing the bios to be a bit of a challenge though. Some of te time you'll be okay for using two different brands of the same model of card, but like i said... so long as they're both the same type i.e. same model from the same manufacturer then you'll be fine.

polyurethane (monothane is a type of polyurethane i think) is i think what plazzies are made of. Think tart said its around 82a grade-wise as well. Its only a very narrow band thats any good for pads, like 82a-83b or something like that.

Heyup people, its hard to notice that theres a fair few enthusiasts on here and i would like a bit of advice on getting a new digital camera. Looking to spend around £100 and i'd like something aorund 6-7megapixels, decent flash, and some good manual settings (both for riding pics and fancy art pictures of random things). I've been looking at the fuji finepix s5700 and was wondring if theres any others that are similar that i should probably consider. Cheers muchly. Boatsie. P.s. Probably not no. Generally i'm pretty stingy with buying music. Unless i know for a fact i like it and it has something worthwhile in the case rather than a single piece of paper in the front then i won't be paying for it.

I'm doing alright at the minute. Freshers week is over, i've bought pretty much everything i needed for the house that i never thought to get (things like towel rails and drying racks for pots all add up) I've paid my first months rent and so far i've only used £100 of my overdraught as i still haven't received my loan through. I eat fairly well, maybe not as healthily as my other housemates but tuna, pasta and lots of milk isn't exactly bad for me. If you can't be arsed to cook for yourself go down the pasta route. Find a type of pasta you like and that still tastes good cold and then just cook a lot of it. I like pasta, tuna mayo and lettuce with a bit of sweetcorn thrown in there for crunch and its easy enough to make too much and keep 2-3 portions in the fridge for quick snacks throughout the week. It comes to a total of about £2 to make as well so is far cheaper than any takeout stuff. I do know people on my course who've spent just over a grand at uni so far almost primarily on going out every night so don't worry, you're definately not doing badly. At the end of the day though, if you do get a job its a bit more money for you to relax a bit more and if your course doesn't take up many hours a week it can be a great way to keep yourself occupied.

I'm not meaning to nitpick, but wd40 isn't a lube. Its a degreaser, and filling your hub with it will remove any grease or lube, effectively running it dry and wearing the parts out much faster. I'd ordinarily overlook it but if this guy (or someone else reading) doesn't know the difference and just fills the king with wd40, they'll be riding it into an early grave. Well he wouldn't as the pro trials version doesn't come in 150mm

Actually, with a grind those pads are probably the worst ones i've ever used, except for magura blacks and tensile bubblegums. They wear down in about a minute and leave a horrible smell of melting rubber everytime you break. I think those pads are made of shoe soles or something equally retarded. I loved my rock pad blues, they were insane in both the wet and the dry. I was riding in mud and heavy rain and they didn't stop honking and only marginally lost a bit of hold. I even poured an entire bottle of water over the pads and rim to wash mud off and hopped straight on the bike to find they worked despite being smothered in water. And in the dry they are some of the loudest grabbiest pads i've ever used. Just don't fit a booster to them, they wear down quicker with a booster, the pads like a bit of flex.
