  1. You can't see the major differences as their encoded into the system. But the security features are there and the networking stuff is a lot better than in XP with the features and efficiency of it. Theres also the things like readyboost that are good features for improving system performance quickly. Vista also has a more stable driver based system than XP, so it manages them far better than XP did. I've already mentioned superfetch the program caching feature for fatser loading times. Theres a better I/O prioritation in vista, so I/O intensive programs run more efficiently. Playable media is also more glitch free in vista, they've implemented many things to remove the random stutters in video's and streaming media over networks that XP was commonly prone to. Imporved data integrity is another great feature, vista makes back up copies of files and folders so if it becomes corrupt or you delete it you can simply revert to an earlier version and all is not lost. Better application recovery for crashed applications as well as improved measures to try and stop them crashing in the first place. Theres also the start menu based search system thats greatly improved in efficiency and searching ability than the crappy little search function in XP. Theres also a load more features i haven't mentioned because this list is taking me a while to type out. So yeah, while you can't physically see the new features, they are definately there. Also since vistas release its only had a couple more problems highlighted than XP did when it was first introduced, which when you take into account the way technology is so readily available to everyone nowadays and the amount of people that have the knowledge and ability to find and utilize such flaws it supports the idea that vista is actually more secure than XP was when it was first introduced, and the security risks are becoming less and less frequent as it is. As to the 2gb system requirement, well... its not a recommended requirement by microsoft at all Linky
  2. Trust me, if you had 3-4 people adding you every day just to see whether i think pythons are good bikes and having them start blabbering on about how their bikes better than mine because its an onza you'd find yourself doing the same. Barely any of them can type a message properly, theres hundreds of stupid pictures in the middle and they don't bother asking anything normal or trying to get to know me so they get blocked and deleted. If people add me and ask me something normal or just add me to say hi and then we start having a normal conversation then yeah, thats cool but they are not very frequent
  3. Its not memory intensive, its memory efficient. It loads up all the programs it thinks you might want so you can open them faster and if you want to open something else it dumps all the stuff from memory (which takes less than 0.1s apparantly) and opens it up like xp normally would. So it actually opens and runs programs faster than XP or at the same speed as XP. The second thing is the UAC messages asking for perimission every time you want to run an installer, copy some files etc. This can be easily turned off if you want. If you want full access and no prompts much like xp all you have to do is: Then just rename the account to whatever you want to call it and delete the old one. Far easier than installing XP and you still get vistas better networking features and much better security. Unlucky on installing XP again for silly reasons
  4. I use a tv card, the fact you can record programs to your hard drive makes it a more sensible choice than a tv screen. Get the tv card and a 20-22" monitor. It won't look amazing because its only freeview not a dedicated HD source like sky HD but its still decent enough and looks the same as watching a 20-22" tv.

    Old Footage

Yeah, he gaps roads and sidehops silly big now. Its quite shameful to go riding with him as you kind of fade into insignificance
  8. Silky smooth again, ingenious lines... makes a nice change from the single moved street basher vids that have been out lately. Out of interest does he ride mototrials as well? Looks to have that kind of style when he's on the rocks.
  9. I thought the limeys were awesome for having a 1100 wheelbase. Now they're just standard bikes It feels like the day i found out santa isn't real
  10. Isn't the white section mostly flat ground with the odd rock to roll over? I'm looking forward to being patts spectator, i'm just gonna have to get him to run through the rules and things sometime next week. I think i'm looking forward to seeing the competition and all the other riders just slightly more though, brackens great
  11. Too f**king true. Thats what its like round here too... little emo-skater wannabee's who think they're amazing because they spun the board like a hardflip but never landed it. They wax everything too which is annoying. Bmx is far more versatile, you can ride a dirt bike on park or street and vica versa and while the tyres and geo might not be ideal, with a plank your stuck to street or park. So your already more limited. You land more stuff on a bmx. Bmx has a better learning curve. With a bmx you can get away from security/gangsters faster. If your going down a big hill on a bmx it is possible to stop the thing quite easily. Bmx's don't generally snap in half if you land with your feet in the wrong place. With a bmx you don't look like a plank (pun intended). Unless your tony hawk or rodney mullen then bmx is much better.
  12. Dude, go for intermediate Your more than capable from what i saw the other day.
  13. This isn't peronsal so don't take it personally, but theres nothing f**king more annoying than lots of random kids adding me to msn to ask what bike i have then asking me if the zoo python in their DP looks nice. Its like they aren't aware the pictures ridiculously small so i can't see f**k all. Anyone who comes on in such a fashion will find themselves blocked and delted permanently
  14. What a stud! Looks f**king sweet man, makes me want to go out and get mine pimped out and tidied up again
  15. I've had that one before, i guess manualling well is a secret desire for us riders In last nights dream, i was able to jump really high... like a freerunner, only being able to jump like the hulk in the latest movie. Like i'd jump in the air and go like a building height up in the air, then slowly start coming back down again. this ability has cropped up in a dream before so i wasn't too suprised by the way i could superhumanly jump into the sky. Well here it starts with me and my friends (the majority of which don't bike, we're pub dwellers) were at the park in a local village with our bikes chilling out and laughing about random things when i started jumping over things like the fence and a forest (bit of a leap in jumping abilities i know). Unintentionally, i landed on the other side of the forest in a farmers field, who was walking his dog in the same field when i landed. He'd been known to shoot kids for going in there before so i had to jump out of the field again and back to the park. But he chased me into the park looking quite pissed off and with what i can only describe as the evil b*****d-spawn of ceberus wanting a taste of our blood. Me and said friends decide to get away and next thing i know we're about a mile away in the local school playing field. Which is great, only i don't have my bike... must be in that park at the beginning of the dream. So i tell them i'm gonna run back and get it... which they all tell me is stupid because its a mile away and they offer me their bikes as a quicker way of getting there, but i'm convinced i can do it so i set off. I'm vaguely aware of several of the friends vacating the area as i sprint off up the path. This is where my trouble starts. I'm unable to run like a normal person, as i try and run i slowly float upwards which leaves my feet trying to run in thin air, i have to stop running to come back down to floor level before i can start off running again. Well after a couple of attempts at this float-running i get halfway back and decide i'm getting nowhere fast (i'd imagined i'd be there and back in 30 seconds or so). Along comes a new attempt at running which just sends me floating again but i don't slow down to come back to earth as its getting annoying, this time though i gather enough momentum to stay in the air hovering above the floor whilst travelling at round 30mph (i checked the speed on my watch , despite never wearing a watch) I stop running now and maintain a back-to-the-future style hoverboard stance as i zoom all the way back to my friends house (yes, i'm aware i was aiming for the park). My bike isn't there so i zoom off down the road again and start getting chased by someone or something so i have to pull into the pub car park... which believe me, is a lot harder to do when your floating at 30mph because with my arms already being stuck out at the sides to maintain balance theres nothing i can do in the form of braking. I opt to just hit the rear wall of the car park and stop moving that way, much to the disgust of the people in the beer garden. When the threat that was chasing me has moved on i leave the car park and take a wrong turn somewhere up the road ahead, which means i'm now in leicester (ordinarily a good 10-12 miles away). While stood in leicester slightly confused as to how i got here i see my friend martin who informs me he's "not seen us guys in ages" which was strange as he's talking in the third person, he asked what i was doing in town so early in the morning, so i had to explain how i took a wrong turn in queni and ended up here... which he found amusing. I had to jump from leicester back to the park/queni somehow and as i was coming back down from the single 12 mile jump my dream ended.... bit of a cliffhanger for the next episode. So yeah, maybe tonight i'll be full on flying in the air as my powers increase. Or maybe its a weekly dream and i have to tune in next week for it
  16. I know what i'm gonna go see this week

    My Limey!

Yeah it is, thats the way it should be fitted. Looks good dude, but definately get a front disc. They're so much nicer than rim brakes
  18. Bad side, wrong foot over high jump pole: 28"'ish Good foot though its around 40-43" either way, again over the pole.

    Old Footage

I love the way i was there in person for around 90% of those clips. I think the only ones i missed were the brum ride and the drop on that leicester one. Beasty jonny, now we need a monster video of you riding... especially now you can gap a lot further and sidehop higher
  20. I would, but as soon as she smiled i'd be thinking about the joker face and i'm sure i wouldn't be able to finish her off if jack nicolson was in my head

    G-turn

I like the way you presume everything in life is filmed and hosted on the internet.
  22. If she looked like she does in reece's picture all the time then it'd be her for sure... but seeing as most of the photo's she's in looks like the joker from batman only wearing a wig and with better legs, i'd have to say fearne has it for me. EDIT: Just to show what i mean... she looks fit in reece's photoshoot, but a few moments later and the joker smile comes out again! But i guess she can open her mouth wide and theres nothing to stop entry from behind.
  23. Industrial parks are the best place ever. And if you can... get blue pallets. They're the best ones in terms of durability and reproduction accuracy (ie. not all random sizes)
