I reckon i have yeah, should be a right laugh this year

1100 bikes are easy to bunnyhop Looks wicked dude, you gonna be riding that at uni this year? We have a fair few riders in luvbura now... i'll be in a house behind pedal power this year so i'm right near kfc as a riding spot

I was about to say the same thing. From the looks of it the tensioner arm is completely in line with the chain, which looks to be making the spring rather redundant. Aside from the crap tension... looks very nice dude.

Don't worry mate, they do my tits in too. The one on the right that pulls some retarded facial expressions especially... and the smug one on the left who thinks she's better than everyone.... and the other dippy two that just come out with crap all the time. In fact, my mum switched over to who wants to be a millionare tonight while i was eating a curry and the first thing i saw was the screeching facial contortionist one and her mate and i swear if my mum hadn't turned over again in the next few minutes my beloved curry would have been on the floor as i left the room in disgust.

In this specific case, it is a stationary car parked at the side of the road . In general though, i'm good at fast paced computer games, always get some of the highest scores possible on reaction time tests i've tried etc. I just get irritated with him braking for me when theres completely no need to, i mean its actually a bit more dangerous with what he's doing as on more than one occasion a car has tried to overtake me whilst the guy was sitting there and had his foot slightly on the brake and one time the overtaking car nearly hit an oncoming car, they had to swerve in front of me at the last second.

You have recieved a new feedback. Below are details concerning the new feedback. Type: Good Rating SummaryAwesome guy to talk to over msn and i had no worries about giving him my bank details for a bank transfer. Which he did straight away. Sent the bars straight out without waiting for transfer to clear. Totally trustworthy guy! Given By: Krisboats You were the: Seller Date: 1189525586

Are the splines still intact? You've not ridden with it loose for a while and worn them down so theres play? Maybe do a coke can bodge? Cut some metal from a coke can and pack the splines with strips of metal to make a tighter fit.

Its called eco driving, my instructor keeps banging on about it and i've done it a few times myself. I guess it depends on the car but the focus i'm driving doesn't get anywhere near redlining in 3rd at 28-30mph and it will quite happily switch to 5th.
-
Yeah but i'm nearly the same age as you, sensible and have very good reaction times. On a quiet road at around 11.00am with good visibility and no sideroads or driveways for cars to come out of theres no need to begin braking 250 yards away, he makes me slow right down to about 10mph in the space of 50 yards or so and i have to crawl up to the car on the side of the road until he takes his foot off the brake as well, causing a lot of drivers behind me to get very annoyed. Its just weird that he does that after a good few lessons still, yet on the first one i was doing 70mph up a dual carriageway that leads to the motorway, taking sliproads and huge roundabouts as if i should know what i was doing.

I have an old guy teaching me how to drive at the minute, he keeps making me brake so i can check the raods clear before going round a car parked at the side of the road.... which would be fine if he didn't want me to start braking about 200-250 yards away from said car in 20-30 zones. In an almost complete contrast of character though he made me go round a 4 lane super roundabout and up a busy dual carriageway with some sketchy sliproads on my first lesson I just think he's a bit weird to be fair... might have a look for someone a bit more normal to learn with. EDIT: On a seperate note, i almost got hit by an old person in a car as i was walking along the main high street path. He panicked after a car came near him and he swerved onto the pavement to avoid the car, if i hadn't heard the tyre noise on the curb turn my head slightly and jump into someones garden he'd have plowed me over. Didn't even stop stupid coffin dodger.

Yeah, i can't see how everyone else misinterpreted it so much. He wants to design a frame, then send it off to a bike company on the off-chance they'll make it. A company like cannondale, orange, kona... etc. Not making the frames and paying for shipments himself, and not a custom frame from a company that takes custom geo orders.

Meh, it was alright. I would have preffered it if i didn't have to visit crap-bo to see it though.

Cheers guys, i really want to go out and play on the bike now A pleasant breath of fresh air from the current style of street vids.

Seems to be a trend round here. Boumsong pulled off a drop gap and landed fully 90 the other day anihalating his rear wheel and the spokes inside it

Very nice! Good range of moves and lines with a great riding ability, all filmed with nice angles and well put together. The gaps between the white dividers were great and pretty damn big too. Quite an abrupt ending though

In the wiki picture it sayd it isn't that one, but the one up and left of it (i imagine it means right)

Jonny MC is a great example of a huge gapper as far as i'm concerned, possibly because i ride with him a lot so have had a lot of time to watch how he gaps. The majority of the work is done with weight shifting and upper body strength. He sure does put a good stomp on the pedals in there for good measure but its not the main thing that drives him across the gap. The body position on take off appears to be quite a crucial element and upon looking at some of the big gapping riders you'll notice they do the same. He starts off on the back wheel and gets quite close to the edge of his take off then, unlike a lot of people, he leans forwards as he lowers the front end so as to bring his body weight further into the gap to start with rather than lean back and have more distance to cover. Here's a run down on a gap he did in leicester thats bike length plus roughly 1.5-2 feet.... so around 7'10-8' ish, going from a single width wall (so not a lot of room for pure pedal driven force) and its a gap up slightly by about 5-6 inches to a very narrow landing with a wall blocking part of the way. Starting point Notice how the bike is quite vertical, upon trying this myself i noticed that when your standing straighter and with the bike higher up the gap your about to attempt seems smaller, which really does help with your confidence before you even start the move. Starting the preload The preload is essentially a way of giving you every bit of extra force that you can possibly get, jonny's perfected this into doing several things at once. In this first stage he jumps upwards with one correction hop at the same time as shifting his bodyweight forwards to the point of getting the bars underneath his shoulders on extremely large gaps. Notice how the bike has barely moved in position aside from moving straight up for the preload hop but instead of moving the bike forwards his body has shifted towards the gap. Hitting maximum preload This is the time when the weight shifting and preloading jump combine to expel a bit more force into the jump. He's now leaning well into the gap despite the fact he's leaning back for a long arm extension for more distance to gain momentum with his body as he pulls himself towards the bars. At the same time as he reaches his lowest point with his arse and legs his back tyre has compressed into the wall to help give that extra little bit of bounce for the gap (remember, every little helps). At this point his lead foot has also found the engagement point in the rear hub so as soon as he stomps on the pedal every little bit of force is applied to spinning the wheel round. Look at his heads vertical position in relation to the last picture, same distance into the gap but he's significantly lowered the bike and got his shoulders and hips down very low as his knees are bent. Beginning the jump This is the point everything kicks off. He pulls himself forwards with the bars, jumps upwards with his legs extending them completely from how they were before and at the same time as jumping he stamps on the pedals to get the back wheel shifting the bikes weight underneath him. Look at how he's thrown his hips forwards before the bikes even taken off the wall, he now has a much shorter distance for his body to travel so all he has to do is get the bike across the gap. Midflight tucking Since he's gotten his body most of the way across the gap already with his explosive start he now needs to geth the bike across as well. He pulls the bike up with his shoulders and elbowsand gets his hands roughly in line with his chin. In order to get the bike that high he has to fully compress his legs and get the back wheel right up to his arse to acheive both enough height to increase his flight time and to give enough room for extending his legs in a minute. Notice how he spots the landing and tweaks the bike in order to miss the wall? And people say guys can't multi-task Extending towards the landing At this point his arms doen't really change position but he extends his legs out from underneath himand pushes the bike towards the landing, aiming to land on top of it rather than to hit the edge so as to avoid dents and punctures. At this point it becomes apparant that his body has only moved 2 or 3 feet at the most since the bike left the wall he was taking off from, yet the bike has moved a lot more. Abosrbing the gap Nows the time for soaking up all the energy from the gap in order to land smoother and keep his weight forwards to make the gap. His arms stay extended ready for pulling himself forwards and his knees become compressed so the force of landing isn't soaked up entirely by the innertube and sidewalls of the rim. All thats left of the move is pulling himself forwards with his arms and legs. So a quick re-cap: Get to the edge of the take offKeep the bike verticalJump up and forwards with your bodyCompress your legs and keep arms straightPull your body forwards then stamp on the pedals while jumping upwards with your legsGet your elbows near your ears and feet near your arseKeep your hands still and extend your legsUpon landing straighten your arms and bend your kneesHe also recommends looking about a foot past the edge of your landing, so don't aim for the edge, aim a foot past it. He also always tells me to get my feet near my arse and get my elbows up, something i often forget to do. Hope it helps somewhat.

I went to america when i was little about 9 years ago and put a huge ass air hogs plane in my suitcase . It was like 1/3 of the price compared to over here and they didn't say anything. Similarly when my grandad went to tokyo in february he brought back some digital camera's and other electrical items in the suitcases so he could sell them to friends and neighbours over here.... had somewhere in the region of £1200 worth of stuff in the suitcase and didn't have a single problem. Just put them in the suitcase... they'll be fine.

Almost a whole day, you went out in the morning and we didn't hear anything till late afternoon, which meant neither of us could do anything else other than sit around waiting for you to be considerate enough to let us know you couldn't come. Meh, i'm not gonna say anything else as i'll just be greeted with more lame excuses.

Seems he's gotten a bit good at the spins and stuff now. We tried doing a bit as a bit of a laugh at a demo yesterday... some of the jumps and things are easy enough... but i didn't try the spins.

That electric chair image was blatantly just a poster. Why would a ghost show up on a picture with such cheezy electric bolts coming out of his hands ... just because the poster wasn't made by madam toussaudes (sp?) didn't mean it wasn't made by someone else. I thought the video was pretty boring to be fair, while i'm open minded to ghost stories and unexplained phenomenon a lot of it was very poor and that the only interesting bits were the facts about the deaths and exhumations in the place. I missed the middle of it first time round because i fell asleep watching it
