Just to clear the whole only using MAC filtering thing up. If you have a share folder, someone can mimmick a mac address to gain access to the network, and while they might not be able to alter existing files in the share folders... they can add them. So its easy enough to add a backdoor trojan onto your computer and then they can literally do whatever the hell they want.... even view you through your own webcam as they spin the mouse round in circles in front of you. This also enables them to put a keylogger onto your computer and run it meaning they can see everything you type.

Doesn't work for all pads though, the glue in some is takes far too long to break using the boiling method.

One of the rules is to use proper english.... like capital letters and full stops. Something you seem incapable of doing. Validation isn't hard... if you help someone out by explaining how to do something you'll be validated almost instantly. I was validated in a very short time indeed, purely because i go into detail about how to help people out. Seems like you've just come along, given some crappy two line posts without punctuation and expect to be validated.

My old 6th form was like that too. I hated it, they always used to say i HAVE to turn up everyday for registration regardless of whether i have lessons that day or not.... i mean, who in their right mind would endure a 40 minute bus ride wait around for 20 minutes go to their room and say "yes" when someone called out their name, then have to wait around for another 25 minutes for the next bus and 40 minutes home again. The amount of times they tried to give me "detentions" for not turning up was unreal, until eventually one day the headteacher foned up and asked what the hell i was doing skiping registration and skipping detentions, i explained that i wasn't coming in to register when i shouldn't be there in the first place and that i wasn't gonna be punished for someone elses idiotic ideals. Funnily enough he agreed completely, it was soon anounced that if students had a free day they didn't have to turn up for registration. I like to feel i contributed something before i left

Okay, i bought a new chain yesterday as i kept snapping the kmc-alike one i had, choice in the shop was a KHE collapse or the same chain i had before. I ended up going for the collapse and fitted it and all was good. Thing is though i swear my gearings gotten harder now A couple of times yesterday i went to gap and the thing felt like it'd need some kind of hydraulic ram to shift the crank like i normally do. Is this normal changing from one brand of chain to another and one creating a stiffer gear ratio or is it something subconscious like i don't trust it yet and aren't stamping down on it. Gear ratio is 16:13 on a t-rex and i've been using it with kmc's for the past 7 months or so.

They sure can, its also possible to do some funky stuff by retrieveing random packets and acessing wep encryption codes. It was way over my head but it sounded pheasable. Basically, home networks aren't enough to keep someone really determined out.... but wep will keep you safe from most noobie hackers.

It wasn't mis-described though. He's just not mentioned all the problems with it. He states the wheelbuild, what its been used for and that he ground the rim. While he wasn't fully imformative of its condition, he in no way mislabelled it. So you can't file for a "item not received or significantly not as described" claim through ebay. Only thing you could probably do is email him and say the hub is messed up, see what he says and if he's an arse about it then try and claim the money back through paypal... who will be on the buyers side 97% of the time. All they'll want is that you send photo's of the wheel, send the emails from you and from him and they'll sort it out.

Stick the pads in the oven... 150 degrees'ish and leave them in there for a few minutes. Take them out using pliers and see if you can hold the backing with one pair of pliers while pulling the material out with a different set. If it doesn't come out stick them back in the over for another couple of minutes and try again. Repeat until the material comes out. You obviously didn't try hard enough with the oven.

No i said get some biro's and take the springs out of the biros and put the springs that were previously inside the biros into the hub in place of the ones that should have already been in there.

Get some sandpaper on the freehub body to smoothen off those notches (which happen through trials use on an Xc hub), get some biro's and take the springs out of them and put them in the hub and you'll be well away. Those pawls look fine.

"page is not responding" I honestly don't know abouta diamond cutting one, mind you i think unless you spend a bit of money on them most "diamond edged" parts aren't much good anyway.
