Someone wise once told me driving is more about driving for other people on the road than for yourself. Seems to make sense to me.

Yeah i know they're fun, but i've been to my mates halls in leicester loads this year and i know what its like there. I'd prefer a house with some mates because it offers a lot more freedom. Either way, i'll be ringing patt tonight to see whats going down.

Its for a t-rex seat post adapter. A little plate with a 2-3 inch seat tube on it, you allen key bolt it into place using those 4 holes. For the OP you can buy stick on saddles that look like sponge patches, think they were called slugs or somethign equally unusual. I can't remember where i saw them but it just looked like padding with adhesive on one side that you stick to the toptube area.

I sidehop to the right and i don't do it consistently. With the poles theres no chance of bike damage at all, where as on the walls i'll soon mash my rear mech to pieces so i just don't do them. Now i've built my chain tensioner though it just doesn't matter, nothing to break now

That'd be very cool, i did originally want to get a house but the people i'd be living with decided they wanted to try halls first for the student life. To be fair, i think i'd rather share a house.... halls never really struck me as anything more than a hotel for a year, just with a load of rules and stuff I'll give you a buzz around 5-6.00 and we can have a chat about it mate, theres plenty of houses on the uni site that are showing as having space still.

It used to be a wilko's 99p hand saw. I couldn't tell you what type of steel it is, its got a very definate grain in it if that helps, if i bend it along the grain it snaps dead easy, but if i bend it against the grain it seems very strong and just bounces straight back into place. EDIT: I had fun cutting it all out and bending it to shape, but i most definately did not have fun drilling into it snapped about 12 drill bits :$

I have yeah. The first time a "friend" of mine (turns out he wasn't at all) got into a fight at school, I remember seeing it start off and watched a few punches get swung and sort of just stood there about 10 feet away. Its weird to describe, sort of like i wasn't actually there.... it was closer to watching a fight on the tv, where you'd normal not run over to it but continue to sit there observing. Its about the only time thats ever happened though, except from when i did it briefly during my own fight... but then its not quite the same scenario so its not so bad as leaving a friend to sort it out themselves. Since then i've always been quite a quick thinker in situations like that, ask anyone who was at the brum ride when my bike got robbed, was out the shop and up the road faster than a speeding bullet But yeah, it happened the once, i felt utterly s*** for not even moving to help my friend out should it turn from 1v1 to 1v5-6 and its never happened since. I understand why people would take the piss but if you've never experienced it you won't know, its just completely surreal, no "free-thinking" seems to actually take place... just mindless observing.

To be fair, i pointed out that the only way it would end half decently would be if they made an honest and meaningful apology. Seems people are now slating them for that too Ha ha, I wouldn't

Thats awful. If people try to take the piss about you just standing there don't listen. When it happens it happens and you can't do anything, by the time your brain catches up theres usually no immediate threat so you can't physically have done anything to stop it. Sounds bad though, hope you guys aren't hurt too bad.

Sounds like a lot of effort though, and i need to obtain a blowtorch from somewhere I have a can of black spray paint handy on the shelf though, so i'll just spray the end parts i reckon, i can see the spring flexing and the paint cracking and falling off.

If the lid on top is raised as though theres too much air inside its usually a sign that the yoghurt is no longer good to eat.

Most of it will come naturally over the high jump pole. You learn to bend and flex in order to get over it successfully and in order to clear it you learn how to bend your knees and adjust your legs. Preload and what not is purely personal style, you'll soon find after a few go's you'll find a way thats easiest for yourself to do it.

I don't know which bit your reffering to but if it was to yourself being a tit, i wouldn't know... i've never met you. If it was towards attitudes in this thread, i wouldn't say any of it is particularaly funny.
