  1. Okay heres mine. It was a choice of 2 and jonny chose this one:
  2. Ha ha danny... you can see that well clearly, good filming! From different angles
  3. Ha ha, yeah... just a bit lol. And the fact that both of us had stiff peddle'itus when trying to swap them , very weird
  4. Yeah, i'm building the entire thing out of that material Need to drill 5 holes in it
  5. I got my ISIS super pro's for £35. Bargain if you ask me.
  6. Children need to be encouraged and supported. It wouldn't hurt to ask him if he'd like a go on your bike or something, maybe even just nicely ask him if he wants to learn how to do it? Children need to try different things to keep them open to new ideas, if he doesn't stick at it he doesn't stick at it... but at least he's tried and he'll be the better for the experience.
  7. No way! Someones actually used the name generated by this forum , thats wicked. Shame its not the actual koxx kamel though
  8. I have a dent in the metal.... just no drill bits want to go through it. They just sit there spinning round making f*** all difference to it. I'd imagine i have the wrong drill bits or need a more specialist one, i'm using gold ones (which i thought were designed for metal, maybe not saw blade steel though). The metal is a cheap wilko's £1 hand saw approxiamtely 1.5mm thick.
  9. Yeah trying to do the pilot hole. Smallest drill bit i have is 1.5mm and they keep breaking. I'm not cool enough to have a pillar dill
  10. Ha ha, indeed... that most certainly is a bad thing to have written in there. I'd have thought that its more a reflection on a particular type of person which should be narrowed down to a few individuals rather than the majority like it makes out. Its kind of unclear as to where these "experts" are giving information... by the way it says go to an event in order to "gain knowledge... from people who actually ride" makes it sound like these experts are on a website like amazon or something. Ah well, if someone wants advise and theres a few different opinions its down to the individual as to whether they use the advice or not. I find it quite ironic that this "expert" is giving out poor advise exactly like he says to look out for. Come to somewhere like here and problems usually get solved quite easily
  11. Okay, i'm halfway through making a kennard/bigman style tensioner.... only i've come into some problems trying to drill the holes into the metal. Anyone got any idea what drill bit i need in order to drill it easier, becuase its taking ages just to make a little dimple in the metal ? That one is the perfect trials tensioner. Completely out the way, gives fantastic wrap around... now you just need to experiment with different cog sizes and alignment setups and get it marketed. I can see this being a VERY popular style of tensioner.
  12. Ha ha, you need to get out more..... "oh noes, they've written more about big bikes than the kiddie ones!"
  13. Would you kill a mosquito though? I most certainly do, go round at night if i see one in my room and i won't sleep till i've hit it with a sock.
  14. Okay people, been up almost all night sorting this out. Big thanks to danny kearns who kept me company over msn until a few minutes ago when he went to sleep. Left click here, Video is Jonny MC Megaupload link (left click) Awful quality youtube link Enjoy
  15. Ha ha, was delighted when i found this in our msn share folder the other day
  16. I'm not kidding in the slightest, nor did i ever know. But as soon as my dog goes near it up it goes, about half a foot-3/4 of a foot in the air. Almost to the same height as my dogs face, scares the dog enough to keep it away .
  17. Ha ha, i have, you just can't see it as its blonder than my head hair .... besides, theres no option for trimmed chin hair.
  18. I have a bigger one that lives under the fireplace. My golden retriever tries to attack it but gets scared and runs off when it jumps (i didn't know house spiders can jump half a foot in the air ) Its bigger than yours, sounds about the same as haz's monster. I'll et a pic next time its out, or could try to coax it out with some tuna on string.
  19. I had my bike stolen on a brum ride while i was in the shop with everyone else. thought the bike was being looked after, obviously not. Never ran so fast in my life, caught up with him though and got it back. Though didn't hit him Ha ha, weren't you in town the other day on jonny's bday ride? Your like a twig
  20. Best tips for you now... pay close attention. Grind your rim, do it clockwise following this... with snowies i'd hold the grinder at about 30 degrees. Once your done, get on the bike and drag the brake a bit while riding round... keep on'offing the brake too so the grind wears down a bit and all the random metal pieces come off. Now get off the bike and undo the clamps and get your pads out. Now you want to sand your pads completely flat, wash your hands before handling them and if they have grease/oil on them wipe/wash it off immediately. Don't worry about the pad material being wasted, its better than having it wear wonkily. Make sure your pads are completely flat and free of any dirt (the surface should look white). Now fit your brake pads and set them up level with the rim, make sure to wind the tpa off. You should find the brake is 100x better now. Seems sanding the pads after bedding in a grind is the best way to get a fantastic rear brake.
  21. Monstrous! When you showed me that colour on msn i thoguht it would look good but thats fantastic!
  22. Well, CCTV recordings of forecourt fires show that those involved have left the nozzle in the tank while filling and, crucially, returned to their seat to either get their wallet or inconveniently ringing mobile phone. If you're still with this now you'll be thinking, 'How exactly does this cause ignition of petrol fumes?'. The answer is surprisingly simple and indeed obvious: static electricity. Yes, the action of mostly younger people hopping in and out of their cars wearing synthetic fibres and failing to discharge the static electricity before returning to the nozzle causes a shock and a discharge when they reach for the nozzle. Kaboom! This spark is large enough to create an explosive fire. So, why are more women than men affected by this phenomenon? Hidden cameras on several forecourts have revealed that women are far more likely to return to the car to collect something (or touch up their lipstick, grab the handbag, get the purse, remove the keys, answer the phone) than men. In fact, they are six times more likely to return to their seat on some errand than men are. Now that was a surprise! Therein lies the problem, and the solution is simple: when exiting the car, touch the metal to release any static build-up and remember to do it again should you return to the car for any forgotten item - or to answer your phone.
  23. Woah, woah, woah.... its not my bag I don't have my phone switched on during flights, in fact... i rarely even take my phone with me. I did have great fun questioning the air stewardess as to why i couldn't listen to my mp3 player. She said we couldn't use music devices that contain a laser, she was a little more educated when she left me
  24. Last time i weighed my t-rex it was 10.5kg Its now fully single speed, lighter cranks, lighter stem/bars etc. so its under 10.5kg.
