  1. I'd imagine he means the camaro. The old version is sweet but the new one isn't quite as good.
  2. He said his phone is generally in the bottom of his bag on the plane, and bags go in the overhead compartment. I guess if your really lazy it is a bit difficult as you have to possibly ask people to move out the way, get your bag, rummage through it and turn the phone off. Though quite why you'd have your phone on in your out of reach bag during the flight i don't know.
  3. Whats wrong with writing what he said? Its far better than having a go at someone who was trying to be polite and encouraging
  4. If you like battlestar galactica or space shooting games in general then theres a game called beyond the red line. Its pretty damn good and is completely free, without requiring another game to play it.
  5. I don't think it was very obvious that the beginning clip was of you on your old bike before you "quit". So just to clarify, the drop gap from the post is his old bike. The white bike pics are kind of a divider between old and new. Definately needs more clips, but you look good on the little white steed, even if its designed for kiddies Get some proper monstrous stuff done on it and destroy the bike/your bones for your next video
  6. Ha ha, everyone... danny is now trying to cover his own back and drag together what little pieces of his credibility he has left. Don't believe his lies This whole thing was a bit of a joke between me and Danny. He's sound as f**k really and there wasn't ever even any forks involved. We were just gonna have a play fight when we saw each other to see what peoples reactions were gonna be. Don't take any of it seriously
  7. Thats why i put this in my earlier post I know mobile phones "could" lead to a forecourt fire, but so can walkmans, digital watches, gameboys, psp's etc. Anything electrical without the anti static circuitry "could" cause a fire but its only mobiles that are singled out... which i guess is because they are the most probable electronic device someone might have on them.
  8. Erm, its not just mythbusters Besides, mythbusters weren't out to prove that sparks can't set petrol/fumes alight. They were trying to prove that mobile phones don't produce enough of a spark to set them alight. Its this misreading and misinterpreting that lead to the mobile phone myth in the first place. This is just plain nonsense, and i think you've gotten confused. The phone doesn't "give out a spark" everytime you press a button, it would be a very inefficient way of creating the device. Most mobile phone buttons are rubber or plastic, which doesn't conduct electricity, so no spark would be generated. The static build up that collects as your fingers rub against the buttons could (although very unlikely) generate a spark, but you would need a lot of friction to do something like that. Think of how much friction goes into rubbing a balloon on your shirt to raise the hairs on your head. Thats the kind of static build up required to create a spark, and even then its probably not going to be enough.
  9. Its bollocks. Theres never been a documented case of a mobile phone setting off a fire or explosion in a petrol station. Apparantly it was a hoax email that went round a bit and got to one of the employees at the Shell corporation who forwarded it and as such had the unnaporved shell company signature on the bottom of the email, which is why the only cases you hear of have soemthing to do with the Shell corporation. Theres usually only three stories as well, the one with the person who left the phone on the boot/bonnet and it rang causing an explosion, the person who was talking on the phone and had his face burnt and the person whose phone rang in their pocket, setting them alight. Explains it in more detail Backs it up with the whole "never any documented evidence" statement. BBC covers it up nicely with some statistics and what not The only reason its stated at the petrol stations is to cover them legally, all petrol/fuel containing electrical equipment are built with static discharge circuitry to prevent them causing a problem. Mobile phones and walkmans don't have the anti-static circuitry and with the wide range of models of mobiles available they can't test them ALL against being an outside contributor to a fire/explosion. So in theory the precaution should state do not use electronic devices... rather than singling out mobiles.
  10. Nope, its too serious.... bails are meant to be funny, as made quite obvious in the damnation video.
  11. Well first things first, this sport is called bike trials or just trials for short... not freestyle. Welcome to the forum, i hope you enjoy chatting to us all on here and look forward to seeing anything you may wish to contribute. As for the bike. From personal experience starting out on a similar bike you will find that its geometry is much more of a hinderance to your progression. The suspension forks will add a lot of weight to the front of the bike as well which will make it harder for you to learn. You'd probably be better looking at something like a base TA26 frame and then fitting the parts to it yourself. The frame can be picked up cheaply second hand or can be picked up brand new for something like £120. Which leaves you with a fair amount to pick up a decent rea wheel and crankset and fit the other smaller components like brakes bars and forks. I'd probably assign £120 for the frame, £80-100 for the rear wheel, £50 for the cranks, £30 for the forks and the remaining £100 or so for things like the brakes, bars, tyres, headset etc. I'd also advise at looking at second hand parts. Trials gives the bikes such a beating that the parts get damaged very quickly so buying second hand stuff is definately a more financially viable option. Hope that helps a little bit dude, if you have any more questions just holla.
  12. I mentioned the new wheel because the budget ones that come on bikes like that generally and as reliable as something like a hope pro 2 or a chris king. Alternatively you could sort out a cheaper wheel by purchasing a dmr singlespeed hub and attaching a tensile freewheel to it. The less reliable hubs are more prone to "skipping", where the engagements in the hub skip in the ratchet which can cause anything from just a loud bang noise to you launching over the bars and getting injured.
  13. Yep, never been done while i'm there. For anyone who's never been before... heres a small map to the place everyone meets, the crown court. Just come out the station look for the bus shelter thats on the other side of the sets of traffic lights and follow the path behind the bus shelter... you'll see the red-bricked place as you go up the path. If anyone gets stuck with regards to parking or anything give me a ring on 07889133261 and i'll try and navigate you to a car park.
  14. Me jonny danny and clarky were in brum last saturday when we saw a HUGE drop gap. We did think of you when we saw it, but alas... forgot to take a picture. I don't know exactly where it is either so thats f**k all help. Theres definately a couple in leicester though, like jonny said... we'll get pics on the ride tomorrow.
  15. Ha ha, yeah.. i'll be the assistant name interpretation analyst. Hitman, Dual and Sting sound good but Spirogyra is a weird one, really weird. Its possibly slightly weirder than calling a frame Neutronium or Dysfunction .
  16. Its nice, very nice. I had a go on wednesday evening in leicester For everyone who's interested... we'll try and cover all of these riding places in the one day. Don't think its ever been done before but we'll give it a go.
  17. Krisboats

    Bent Axle

I'd imagine he'll have got it sorted now seeing as its over 2 months down the line. If he hasn't he'll at least have time to do it now uni's finished.
  18. On a smooth rim my plazzies would loose all their hold and would slide about all over the place. Having just been outside in the gorgeously warm sunshine using rock pad blues i can quite confidently say that without a booster, on a grind with a water bleed and heatsink cnc backings these pads work just as well as normal.
  19. To be fair though, the cleaner is an awful name. I get where your coming from with it but it is bad. Its the sort of thing riders, if asked about their bike, would just say its an onza without telling people the name of the frame. When you compare it to the other frames you've made... the T-Pro, T-Lite, T-Rex... they've all got positive names that are easily understandable, tell joe bloggs you've got a t-pro and they'll think its the pro version, tell them you've got a t-lite they'll think its super light etc. Have someone ask you why its called a cleaner and you have to explain about competitions, sections, point scoring systems and then finally the meaning of cleaning a section. Compare it to other bikes as well. The echo control, zoo pitbull, zoo python, koxx hydroxx. They are all guy'ish names and ones that wouldn't need to be justified when asked about.... but the cleaner DOES give the mental image of a maid, that isn't going to change. I know a name shouldn't matter but it does, it alters peoples first opinions on the product and its the first opinions that matter most. Isn't it something like you subconsciously decide within 6 seconds whether or not your going to buy it, despite maybe looking at it for a while. If we're gonna bump out some names i'm putting forward: The curve (based on downtube) The blade (again based on downtube) The onza Flight (reference to jumping far) The beam (front looks like a plank of wood ) The brute (frames supposed to be strong yeah?) The stealth (keep it matte black )
  20. Everyone keeps encouraging you to change it purely because its a MAD frame. The thought that this frame will hold you back is quite strange really, especially considering the geometry of it is very close to that of the echo control... a frame widely regarded for riding amazingly. All it needs is a new rear wheel, new brakes and possibly new forks (depending on how heavy/strong they are). Definately sort your brakes out, then upgrade the bike gradually. Trust me, its the best way of doing it as you already have a nice riding frame.
  21. You won't know there is problems with it. Its only when you uninstall the entire package that you realise its so much faster without it.
  22. Yep. Same way you would do a disc rotor. Make sure to bend it slightly more than necessary and to hold it in your newly bent position for 10 seconds or so to help it retain its new shape.
  23. You told me you wanted me to send them via uninsured post because you wanted to save a couple of quid. I said i wasn't accepting any responsibility for loss or damage (which you agreed to) and sent them off. You aren't getting anything back off me and god help you if you try to get voilent, i'm more than capable of fending you off midget.
  24. Nah, i said its the same as the old rex geometry wise but it just looks like you've hydroformed it for the sake of hydroforming it. There was nothing wrong with the old shape at all and i personally think the old one looked better. Now that DOES sound good. Much better than the kiddie flames the last one came with. I stripped mine to plain silver and it looks so much nicer, though if i end up getting zoo forks it'll be sprayed matt black or metallic charcoal/smoke. You just need to put on some interesting paint jobs really... the new koxx coust is a perfect example of it, awesome colour and interesting decals. If you guys went the same way decals wise and had interesting images on the new paint colours you'd be laughing as people handed over their cash.
  25. The only ones i can think of are... SPOILERS!!
