  1. Don't rule out faulty power supplies that get triggered when other appliances in the house come on. A dodgy power supply can cause and misregister power surges, so get a power supply thats a bit faulty and it may mistake a sudden drop/rise in power as a bootup sequence and all of a sudden on comes your pc. My old PSU used to restart at random points after having switched the pc off. I'd switch it off, get into bed then after having laid there for a few minutes it would randomly come back on again and light up the entire room with the blue fans and keyboard and mouse.
  2. They both max out at level ten and when you get to level 63 you realise the AI for the other player just doesn't provide a challenge
  3. My local area has been dry as a bone all day today, went riding for a couple of hours with plazzies so i think that says it all Was drizzling a bit yesterday morning, but again wasn't enough rain to stop the plazzies working so its hardly anything major like other parts of the country. I feel sorry for the people who have it real bad though, especially with people being missing and cars being washed away. I've never even had a flood reach the foot of my house doors so i can't even begin to imagine how awful it must be. EDIT: Double postage.
  4. But thats not whats happening is it. Its people who pass within their first year who aren't allowed to carry passengers. Take myself for example. I'm 20 and haven't started learning to drive until recently now that i have some money together for it. By the time i pass my test and everything i'll be nearer to 21, and yet i won't be able to carry passengers at night till i'm 22. No designated driver duty on nights out, hell even going to the cinema with my cousin tonight wouldn't have happened as he wouldn't have been able to drive me back home. He's a new driver, there was 3 of us in the car and yet nobody egged him on and i don't think i saw him go even slightly over a speed limit once. And this rule is going to be for passengers in general, it doesn't state how many, so i'd imgine it applies to anyone other than the driver. It doesn't state 3 or 4 passengers, so someone dropping their girlfriend off at home after a meal out would be breaking the law. Most girlfriends don't egg you on to drive like an idiot. Its not going to inconvenience a few people, it'll inconvenience a LOT of people, for the sake of some boyracers who meet up at the local mcdonalds car park every night, which lets face it... is the stereotype teenage driver they're aiming this at. The only scenario people can think of for night time driving with passengers is teenagers showing off with their mates, theres sooo many other scenarios in the opposite spectrum of it though that it kind of makes the show-offs seem to be much of a minority. The only way your going to deter them from doing it is having the police patrols more attuned to the situation, if theres an area where boyracers constantly meet more patrols should be put on in that area to deter them from driving wrecklessly. There ARE other ways round tackling boyracers/show-offs than to tar every new driver with the same brush from the get-go. You wouldn't stop people wearing hoodies into shops because a small minority of people wore hoodies when robbing a place, just because some people have done something doesn't mean everyone should be treated with the same disrespect. I'm all for making the roads safer, having lost people i care about in crashes i wouldn't wish it on anyone... but this is NOT a sensible way of going about it.
  5. Sony are one of apples biggest competitors and like apple, they charge a lot for their products, be it music players, computer hardware etc. In comparison, my mum just recently bought a laptop made by Gateway, and for £450 she has a 120gb hard drive, core2duo processor, a gig of ram, huge crystal clear screen, built in wireless and all sorts of other gizmo's... as well as a full 3years sameday technician callout warranty. Reviews of gateways customer service are generally fantastic. I'd highly recommend a gateway laptop over a vaio one. My cousins old vaio died after 18 months and they charged him £230 to fix it. Which was just under a third of the original price. I'd never buy from someone like sony, when companies such as gateway and sharp have been so fantastic and much cheaper in the past.
  6. But surely the percentage of boyracers is nowhere near as high as that of non boy racers who are just dropping people off or going to the cinema with mates. I'm all for raising the limit of driving to 18 or even 20/21. But not allowing ANYBODY who's passed their test within a year to carry passengers at night just defeats the object of a driving test. What is the point of certifying them as capable of driving if the small percentage of them can't be trusted to drive responsibly. Car engine strength restrictions are a much better way of going about it. The amount of people i've seen who've just passed then had their parents buy them 1.8 and 2.0 turbo's as their first car is unreal. They can't be trusted to drive one of those as a first car, its just too much for them. Whack it down to 1.0 or 1.2 and it'll be much better than the no passenger law.
  7. Theres mine, though plenty of people strip them to silver. They look much better without the tacky, childish flames. Carbon bars, super pro burns, RB lever, 07 pro2
  8. Just got back from a quick shopping trip with my sister at ASDA and it was empty there, quite rightly so at nearly 2 in the morning. Anyway, they had 2 people buying the books that went on sale at midnight and have a load still in stock. Bit more sensible than when the xbox360's came out. People were queing in asda from 7.00pm ready for release at 12.00 fookin crazy
  9. Ah, thats it... got them the wrong way round :$ Maybe thats why i got an E in biology
  10. Sorry, still getting the hang of these attachment things.
  11. There are indeed a lot of new rocks they've just recently put there. Last time i went i saw some riders in a little section above the arcade on the main seafront. Was too far away to go say high though.... 20p telescopes FTL
  12. So its not that major then? I was under the impression popping a vein killed you within minutes due to the amount of blood escaping and cutting a vein was slightly longer if you kept pressure on it but still quite an urgent matter. If they're leaving the metal in till monday it can't be that bad. I mean, i've cut my finger on my disc rotor before and it kept squirting a good few feet every second or so.
  13. Linky Machine up a heavy duty axle. I'm pretty sure pottsy could do it. Just don't land gaps on the floor with your wheel at some silly angle. What are you like really? I mean, completely flat floor you land the 6 foot'ish gap with your wheel sideways snapping 3 spokes and your axle in the process.... i told you it was a shit technique
  14. Did you try using rubber glue? Seems like a silly question i know, but i glued up a pair of vans and they lasted another 8 months of riding. The glue holds really well but is also flexible so it doesn't snap or get cut by the pedal pins as i'm sure that thread will do.
  15. If you ring them up they're still only £49.99 If you ring up and said you saw an ebay auction going as a buy it now they also charge you the ebay price instead of the shop price.
  16. That link was a set of rules for america no? Its going to be crap anyway. If someones passed their test their supposed to be certified to drive. How can they be certified as being safe to drive if they aren't trusted enough to carry passengers at a time that is generally less busy on the roads. I'm 20 and only just getting round to driving, if someone tells me i can't have passengers in my car between certain hours its not going to stop me. You could just say you were returning from a day trip somewhere at which point you got lost and as such were delayed and the only option would have been to leave your mate there. It just isn't feasible.
  17. Not even a link to your site in the first post! I had to type the damn thing out myself and then i find its down for maintenance
  18. Damn, that sucks. I was working all day yesterday... did you ring my mobile? I can't remember where i put it yesterday so can't check. Sorry dude EDIT: Got a canvas on order for you dude, should be arriving either this evening or tomorrow morning. They didn't have any ones around A2 size that weren't completely square or some weird proprtion rectangle shape.
  19. Belinea 22" Dell 22" Don't know what you define as cheap, but the dells are widely regarded as being high quality and the belinea is good quality for very little money.
  20. Seems all the usual mac fanboys have jumped in here so i'm gonna go out and say why i reckon you should get a pc. The PC will give you more hardware for your money, which in turn will lead to things like photoshop running better than the lower spec'd mac. Also the thing to note with the pc is that you can just buy a pc with an e6300 core 2 duo that runs at 1.86ghz and overclock it like most people do and have it running at between 2.8 and 3.5ghz. Already this is faster than the fancy mac. The general range of stuff is more widely available for pc's and the uni p2p sharing programs don't have a lot of mac software on them, which is unfortunate because as a student you soon find paying for software isn't such a good option when you can download it for free. Bear in mind so long as its a core 2 duo you can have it running at almost twice the speed (based on the 1.86 C2D OC'ing) with a couple of tweaks here and there (plenty of guides to help).
  21. Yeah but your a f****** tank
