  1. that metal cutting disc explanation and picture are mine Got a pretty good instructional video to sort out soon too.
  2. Not really, just some companies don't like their products being slated if they are going to issue a replacement, so i didn't want to jeapordise anything or cause any problems. Seeing as though other people have half explained though i thought i'd clear it up.
  3. Surely you have his address still from sending the cheque off? Pretty sure the banks can reclaim the money too with the permission of the authorities? All is not lost, just explore some different avenues. Send him an e-mail and check the little thing that tells you if its been read. Inform him your going to be notifying the police, he'll most likely shit himself that his parents will find out he's been stealing and sort things out with you.
  4. Yeah magnesium burns with a white hot flame when set fire too with a match or other type of flame, obviously grinding it will cause it to spontaniously combust and probably explode taking your arm and most of your bike with it...... ..... These wil be a form of alloy and in the same way magnesium peddles don't burns explode or fizz in water, these will be fine too. Would love to see how these do in the long run, could be a new step forwards in the sport. Good on you for trying it out
  5. Yeah okay, seeing as everyone else has already spilled the beans i don't have to worry about keeping it hush for pete in order not to affect his zona warranty and stuff. Its jonny's frame, it was sat in my room for like 3 weeks, and it was severely battered while it was sat here. I could flex the driveside chainstay out by about 2 or 3 inches from the yoke, hadn't realised the brake mount section had been cracked as well though. This thing was awful to ride on and as we dismantled it the last few minutes of its riding life had the wheel flexing over to the left side and generally just bending about everywhere on each little pedal hop. It was like trying to gap a full susser without the rear shock attached.... utter flex'age! Pete bought it and i posted it off for him, its now sat there completely snapped, whether from shotblasting or just pete pulling it off with his hands (it was weak enough for that to be easily possible) i don't know, but its now broken completely. I would suggest all those sticking up for pete actually try and find out the whole story before having a go at other members, he doesn't have a reputation for exagerating for nothing, despite being a cool guy to talk to over the phone and on msn.
  6. To show the progression of the move you should really have had the mid air rider overlapping the preload rider, rather than the other way round Good size gap though, well done. Do you really like mod bikes? Because you look a bit big for it.
  7. No offence to mr watson, but number two is the better rider in my opinion. He can still go quite big, but at the same time is more interesting, imaginative and seems to be much more controlled. Plus that little wheelswap involving that wall and the post was fantastic, probably the highlight of the video for me. I think its all very good to have big moves in a video... just balancing them with fun and interesting things makes the video 100x better.
  8. If they give away a bike, they can't sell the parts because they've gone... so they won't get the £1605 they could potentially get for them. Buying more stock in doesn't make sense as they'll have to anyway after giving the parts away. If they sell all the grips then they make a profit they may or may not have been going to make anyway. The only point thats feasable is the advertisement aspect of it, but the figures you've given won't be right at all as you'd factored in the initial cost all wrong
  9. I was able to quite happily bunnyhop my friends 06 GU long when my friend had it They aren't that hard to get used to. I would get the 1095 CZAR though to upgrade from my rex..... should i already have a koxx coust though, well.... i know i'd be keeping the coust, gorgeous frames to ride.
  10. If i ate like that every day i'd be dead in 2 weeks. 3 pieces of toast isn't a good breakfast/lunch, especially if your going to be working out later. I'm lanky, and i eat loads. I use a pasta bowl for a breakfast bowl and a regular size box of cereals is 4 of my portions (combined with nearly 2 pints of milk per bowl). For lunch i either make some nice cheese on beans/hoops on toast (4 slices) or get something from the uni cafe/out and about... usually a sandwhich pack withwater/soft drink and chocolate bar. For dinner i get a nice cooked meal, usually chicken or pork or spaghetti or lasange. Then i'll have a snack (chocolate bar/ice cream/apple/tuna sandwhich) in the evening. I play on my bike a fair bit, walk a mile and a half to uni and back every day usually with a heavy bag, do weights/general excercise at home in the evenings. I'm not saying this is a perfect diet, but it works for me. Only thing i DO need to do is drink more water, as i never seem to drink enough. You just need to find a correct balance between excercise and the amount you eat.
  11. Most of the sections of that dvd have been split and put on youtube, split into different moves.
  12. Its to do with interference. If its the mopeds/cars then its the pitch the engines give off thats interfering with your picture. If the signal goes from the aerial on say the roof or a shelf, then down through a nice long cable to the booster box then from that into the telly then all your doing is amplifying the interference as well You need the booster mounted right near the (digital specific) aerial, then a length of "shielded" cable from the booster to the tv. Shielded cables do wonders at reducing the interference and when i installed mine i found there was no need for the booster box at all. I picked up 10m of shielded digital specific cable from wilko's for £5 (wilko's own brand). While theres still some intereference from exceptionally loud mopeds that drive past the front of the house, there is no longer interference from any car/moped that went down the main road 100-150m away as there was with the standard cable. Mounting the aerial higher will do wonders too, but try the digital specific cable first.
  13. Krisboats

    Zeitgeist

Now i can challenge the jahovas witnesses when they come round next Cheers dude, never seen it before... very interesting stuff.
  14. Going at speed = bunnyhop Going slow with no run up = bunnyhop with small pedal kick on take off Not moving with zero run up = static up All 3 do bar height for me... bunnyhop versions do around 42"-44" ish.
  15. Krisboats

    Baaaad Head

5 pints a night... heavy... Made me laugh. 5 Pints is a startup, move onto shots after that, then double vodka/JD and cokes after that. Bit more expensive but meh, 5 pints is nothing... its like a couple of cans while waiting for the mrs to get ready then 30 minutes at the pub.
  16. I have a maxxis tyre that does this. Has an annoyingly decent amount of life left in it still though It IS the beading thats stretched. You'll find no matter which way round you put it on or how you pull on it to try and level it all out it'll still pop off. Unfortunately its either a case of finding a rim with a bigger diameter or getting a new tyre.
  17. Something like this? I thought it was slightly illegal to have it misregistered as a less powerful car though
  18. Hopefully will be yeah! Got some more filming needs doing
  19. 1.07 for my home appliance immisions are 0.5 tonnes a year Fuel 9.02 Ah well, parents shouldn't have cars by the looks of it
  20. If you edited it afterwards how did he know what you said? Theres no way for anyone except admin to check pre-edit posts and they can't ban you just because of something someones said surely? EDIT: Removed so as not to affect waynes case.
  21. Ha ha, i thought i was the only one who used to do that! I used to love it, and i remember how pleased i was when i did it off one a foot or so higher than that, despite bending my bars severely i was well chuffed. Keep at it mate, the more you progress the more trials gets fun and interesting. Now you need to work on your pedal hops and dropping off the wall on your back wheel
  22. I wasn't trying to "f**k up everyoones topics", i was just stating theres no point making a pad reviews thread in new members when theres such a vast amount of information in the full members one. We still get pad questions in trials chat so a pad review thread won't stop it... especially with the majority of new members not even reading the guidlines let alone searching through a pad review thread. I mean, all the reviews in the actual thread are similar to this: Which is a LOT more helpful compared to yours. I mean, if you really want to do a pad review thread, you need to have replies of the same kind of standard before it'll be made a sticky... the chances of which are very slim anyway due to the points i raised further on in the post. And yes, i did understand it.... it just wasn't very helpful/detailed.
  23. Which you wouldn't have if you didn't reply to every topic going and start immature slagging matches with your mates in threads. You've only got yourself to blame. Besides, the amount of detail in the actual pad reviews thread far surpasses these little sentences on each pad as you've not even told us what rim you've got and how long you've used them for.
  24. You also didn't include 16:13... which is the one i run.
  25. I don't really think i do worry a lot. I might not like something, but i don't worry about it. Worrying implies i think about something negatively too much, when i don't. I either can or can't do it and thats that. Chain snaps on big drop gaps aren't too bad. I've had plenty and so long as you don't tense up and kind of just 'roll with it' so to speak you won't hurt yourself. Brake slippages... well, i've had my fair share of those too... type krisboats on youtube and you'll see quite a good'un. I don't like heights though, but then i like to force myself to overcome them so its swings and roundabouts really. I guess the thing i dislike about trials is the way its so damn hard first thing on a saturday morning after a night out in town the night before.
