  1. I think you just pissed quite successfully over everyone elses cornflakes
  2. I'm similar, if its a good film i 'might' go and buy it if i see it on sale somewhere. A lot of the time though, i don't :$. i don't download many though, probably 2 films every 2-3 weeks?
  3. 170mm burns, 16:13 ratio. I think 16:14 is far too easy to be honest. My gapping drops by about a foot if i run that gear.
  4. Ha ha, nice... now your all set and past your biggest hurdle with regards to vital techniques. The trials world will open up to you know and you'll progress very quickly.
  5. Universal all the way, in comparison... disney is crap.
  6. Whats the point in going at it with the grinder when a light grind will do fine? With a lot of pads a light grind is actually better than a heavier one. So just telling people to put a grind on could result in them losing their pads in a day or two, as opposed to telling them properly and having their pads last a few months.
  7. Not as good quality wise as the hope discs or echo rim brakes.
  8. I'm 16.5 but not fat. If he sees himself as being too fat to do it though, he'd be able to wind him up by telling him fat people can do it and that its better for them than freeriding.
  9. Ha ha, if he's tubby thats probably whats stopping him from trying as he'll see all these skinny semi controtionists doing it. If you want to wind him up... tell him fat people can do it too and that its a far better way to burn fat than freeriding.
  10. I know it doesn't cost them that much to purchase the parts, but if they didn't give them away they'd still be able to sell them so their losing £1605 through not having them as available stock to sell .
  11. I bet he's crap at riding a trials bike isn't he? I had a mate who said it was pointless ages ago, used to always take the piss. He told me recently whilst quite drunk that he was extremely jealous and used to wish he could do the things i do because its damn impressive. I'd say he's jealous
  12. Very generous offer indeed! I just had fun for 10 minutes trying to spec myself up what sort of bike i would have. Whilst trying to keep it with relatively equal parts to my own, and not going OTT with kings everywhere etc it still came to £1605. Thats a lot of money to just give away, and an amount i would doubt you'd be able to make up for in selling the grips off so hats off to you guys. I hope someone nice wins this prize, as i only ever hear about arrogant arseholes who win great things.
  13. Just my luck to have a brum ride the day i leave for my cornwall camping piss up holiday.
  14. Plugging one of these into your normal router via a cat 5e (network patch cable) should manage to give you enough range on it to work in the barn as its estimated to have a max range between 100 and 120 metres. Alternatively, replacing your current router with this one should do the job too. There are similar models from other manufacturers, but i'd say netgear are by far the best quality routers, never had a problem with any of the 4 i've installed and check up on. Literally just plug 'em in, type in your settings and its all set. Alternatively, if your into little projects... give this a go first?
  15. Please tell me you weren't trying to imply that the brake gets worse after your rims been ground a few times. Thats just retarded. I think the solution is pretty clear. Get some sandpaper and just take the edge off your grind a bit. I'll bet you've given a nice beasty deep grind... which can give a good hold, but get some force behind it and it'll shave material off your pads rather than letting them grip. Sandpaper the edge off, only needs a little rub all the way round the rim and i'm pretty sure you'll find your pads get their act together.
  16. Nice, some beasty looking pictures there mate.
  17. Wembley stadium, obviously..... Entering the stadium at around 4.40pm Rodrigo Gabrielle Dirty pretty things The streets Spag hand Me, Adi, Aron + muse friends MUSE Entering in clouds of torn paper. There you go, more to browse through, i'm suprised some of them turned out half as clear as they have, i was right next to a mosh pit... some girl broke bones in it Notice how throughout the muse section theres still loads of room left in your "golden area", sometimes enough to fit a few picnic benches in Get yours up too, i wanna see them!
  18. We were right at the front of the general standing area just left of the sound desk thing. They were right next to us when they came in and covered us with white paper bits
  19. That section was only half full all night
  20. I'm not a n00b, i know how different pads feel. Its a subtle underlying difference between the rim surfaces thats apparant in the feel of the lever as it bites and throughout the entirety of the bike and the lacking of the reverbial noise produced by the aggressiveness as they make contact with the ground surface that results in a total loss of confidence and ultimately a decreased ability to perform well on said bike.
  21. Firstly, how? We kept trying to work out how people had gotten in there and people must have told us about 20 different theories I missed the rain bit... was that the downpour just before the acoustic pair at around 3.30? Luckily we were parking in a random playing fields car park at that point. Arena litterally was a stones throw away and it was free parking... BONUS! Dirty pretty things... i mean, jesus christ... talk about up their own arse! They did the exact same thing when they supported the chilli peppers, with exactly the same line up. They just turned up... started playing a load of songs, didn't talk to the audience and waited till the very end to play the one song everyone knew. I was really quite impressed by the streets. I didn't know what to think at first and had my doubts, but while i didn't know hardly any of the songs the general banter/audience building mid-song was great and got everyone out of the zoned out boredom DPT's had left us in. Obviously, muse... rock on. I'll get my pics up soon too, looking forward to seeing yours, will be nice to have some from different angles and stuff mate
  22. Park tools are good for the money, around £4 i think from halfords. I've had a funky L shaped one made by cylo/cyclo/something to that effect for a while now and its been great, if anything much better than the park tool one due to the (what i find to be) a much nicer shape. It was only £4.50 as well. Edit, inurs icetoolz are the same as the park ones in design.
  23. I much prefer the feel of a grind though. Its noticeably different and although i can't quite put my finger on what it is... running smooth rims just feels wrong no matter what bike/rim setup i use. I would hardly call having a grind a result of people trying to "fit in with the crowd"... its just its a better all round brake for multiple conditions. We're in england not america or egypt. It might be fine to have smooth rims one day in the sunshine then it'll be drizzling the next day. With a grind you don't have to worry about it as your brake will be better in both conditions.
  24. Yeah, i'd do that too. Basically, you just dont want them to crack/split. Taping them quite tightly will help to reduce flexing and snapping during the final section your cutting. Using a fine blade will keep the cut neater and more precise and just dont sit there going at it full strength as fast as you can. Cut it using slower strokes with a better technique.
  25. Did you not think to check out what you need before doing a grind? Those pads were intended for non ground rims and are much softer for increased grip. Did you not think that a grind might wear them down even just a little bit quick? To be honest... i'm suprised they lasted that long.
