  1. I sent mine off a couple of weeks ago. Stick it in a box, ring them up, get the address, stick a little note in saying wat needs doing and your return address and send it off to them. They fix it and have it back to you in like 3-4 days. Make sure to include a contact telephone number on your little sheet of paper so the finance staff can sort out the payment with you.
  2. I'm another one for monty's being nicer.
  3. Debateable. There are a number of riders who have found that with already stiff frames and supremely stiff boosters like the echo control 4 bolt booster and the heatsink booster that the brake performs better without the booster. There is a limit to stiff you can make a brake before it doesn't work as well.
  4. Why isn't there prize money at comps? Not even a percentage taken from entrance fees? I'm sue a lot of riders would pay £1 more on the admission price to compete and have say a pot of all the extra £1's split into prizes for first second and third places. Local bmx comps do it and they got a much bigger turnout when they did it. The atmosphere was much better too, loads of people competing and having a laugh with each other trying new and crazy moves.
  5. Maybe they're intimidated by you better riders. I know i wouldn't ride in front of people when i went on big rides and to some extent, i still don't now (mainly due to wanting to learn from everyone better than me nowadays)
  6. You wont be able to center it like that, as the louises bolt onto the disc mount. That method will work for the avid and hayes brakes, but as soon as you tighten the bolts with the louise it gets pulled over again. What you actually want to do is undo it.. hold the caliper in the right place and get someone to wrap an elastic band round the bars and lever blade... this'll hold it in place leaving both hands free. Now you need to put little shims between the disc tab on the forks, and the caliper. This way when you do the bolts up it stays in the right place.Hold the shims in place, slide the bolt through and tighten till fully in place. Wait till both bolts are in most of the way before fully tightening. If you dont have disc shims, you can make them out of a cut up coke can (be careful, they can have sharp edges)just make a ring shape with a hole in the centre big enough for you bolt. I've even used part of a fag packet to shim my louise during a brum ride.
  7. They work in stopping the chainstays from flexing as much, but theres still going to be a slight amount of flex from the mounts and the bolts, something another booster would help to prevent. They're usually stiff enough to run on their own though.
  8. I was actually referring to this: That in itself shows quite a naive and sarcastic attitude, the sort you'd expect from someone in highschool, but if you want to bring up the fact that the other day you jumped to the wrong conclusion and had a hissy fit threatening not to post on here anymore because you didn't like your misinterpreted answer then go right ahead. Can't imagine it would do much more than strengthen my point to be honest with you. And it wasn't an "insult-Anjow session", i was letting you know the reasoning as to why he may have called you that. I wasn't just jumping at an opportunity to "stick the boot in when you had someone to side with you" (no-one siding with anyone , again another childish remark), if i wanted to make fun of you i'd be a keyboard warrior on my own, i don't need an e-buddy before i start. Again, don't take this offensively, i'm just trying to let you know how it comes across and why someone might resort to calling you a boy.
  9. Playing the game is fine, getting a server is accpetable if your into it, getting a team website is quite geeky. It was the whole "we used to train delay" bit i meant was sad.

As the good reverand said. Open winrar, click the close button on the message. Click file, click open or browse or whatever it is, choose the m3.rar file, then click the extract button.
  11. 10% off all orders placed on opening day I reckon they'll have spent a fair bit getting into new warehouse, don't think a sale would be something their up for.
  12. I have the guard on the grinder that covers like 60% of the outside of the disc, this stops anything flying near my face. My discs are all new as well, never use old ones so the chance of them splitting are minute. I wear glasses too so i do have a form of eye protection

He he, at least you know what drivers are now ash
  14. To be fair, from reading just your posts alone i had you pegged as being around 15-16. Theres no way i'd thought of you as being 21, its actually quite shocking. I'm sure theres people who think the same of me on here at times, but your attitude does misrepresent your age. More on topic... i think it'll be good to get it a bit more known... but not enough so that people go "oh, its another trials rider". I like it when people seem impressed and amazed by what we do, as it seems to genuinely interest them. I think if it became more mainstream that same spark might not be there, and i think trials as a sport is wholely about suprising people and leaving them in awe.
  15. My personal best is 11 :$ I'm sure soem people can just balance there though... i know one guy who could hold an icepick stall on a hand rail for something silly like 3 minutes... if he can do that on a peg i would have thought soemone could do it for longer... just practice and good balance i guess.
  16. I don't even take my wheel out the frame let alone the tyre off the wheel I do have enough strength to be able to wield a grinder in one hand though and only clipped my thumb when i first started. Its well easy to hold the tyre out the way, but just as easy to let your concentrations slip. If your going to do it... be very careful. I don't bother with goggles or a mask either. I used to use goggles and ear defenders, but then realised nothing ever went near my eyes and i should really still use the ear defenders... my ears ring after using it.

  18. They feel soooooooooooooo nice. If patt was gonna sell just his frame i'd snap it up in an instant.
  19. I got told this morning by a mate who frequently sprays his bikes that wilko's metal paint is the best rpimer you can get, and if you thinking of doing it in black... the best paint too. He says its tough as nails.
  20. Not really, i prefer the smaller ones because its quicker to sharpen them up on something. The thicker ones being thicker, obviously take longer.
  21. Manual, and its available on the magura website.
  22. I use the 4mm style ones... and just let my tyre down and hold it out the way with the other hand, this takes care though... and no weakling arms.

Mysh's M3 converter. Best one there is. Link to topic
  24. A new driver won't improve much at all. Best case scenario... he gets another 2 frames per second.
