  1. How tall are u? u look like a midget in that pic :$
  2. You must be a harsh rider (N) my DM24 is strong as fook, run a low pressure and hardly dent it even after landing heavily.
  3. Did you move the pads further out maybe? so they have more play. Try holding the brake and move the wheel backwards and forwards with ur hand, see if the pads make a noise.

    Picture War

Big bear comes along and eats elisha cuthbert
  5. Could be the pads moving in the caliper? hold the brake and roll the wheel backwards and forwards
  6. When i rode mod i just backwheeled straight to the top of stuff, instead of using front touch. I ride stock now and i cant help front touching really because the wheel just gets in the way :bunny:

    My Echo Control 04

My new-ish bike...... Echo control '04, Fatty forks, Kore stem, Koxx bars, Hope XC on mavic 618 rim, avid mechanical disc. Rear chris king on ALEX DM24, maggie - koxx bloxx. middleburn isis cranks, fsa BB, DMR V8 pedals, hope headset, hope skewers, kmc chain. comments? :bunny:
  8. Are your pads worn down a lot? what pads are they? My cylinders are all the way out on my bike aswell, i just live with it really. (im using a pad bodge so my pads are VERY wide)
  9. Way better than koxx rims though. And ronnies are the same material as echo rims i think? If your bike can fit it, mavic rims are pretty awesome...im running an ALEX rim atm which is ace too but im not sure where you buy them from (got my bike 2nd hand). And yeah my mate runs a ronnie on his koxx levelboss with no problems. :bunny:
  10. A ronnie definatelty shouldnt be too thin......and if it is, a koxx rim with definately fit..... Koxx rims are 47mm, ronnies are 38mm, so less than 1cm difference - so how can 1 be too wide and the other too narrow? Just move your pads in further for the ronnie... Says on your profile youve got an echo team frame aswell? So the ronnie should definately fit as echo rims are the same width.
  11. I hate koxx rims myself....they dent easily, dont hold grinds for long and quite frankly brakes rim brakes suck on them :bunny: . I'd recommend an onza ronnie instead.
  12. Hi all...as i run a kmc cool k710 chain, my middleburn bash wears down a lot. I know a lot of people on here run the same combination, so do you get longer bolts and space out the chainring or just leave it and let it wear itself down? Or buy a k810 chain? Cheers. Noz.

    Isis Bb Help

Have you got a 73mm bb in a 68mm frame maybe?
  16. You get less on the front
  17. FSA pig headsets are really good for the money - £15 and super strong :S . Make sure you whack plenty of grease in if you decide to go for one. I've got a hope headset and its very nice, smooth, sealed, what more can you ask for  . Also had a king headset on my python, cant notice any different between that and my hope.
  18. Do you use 10w oil in your kings then tarty? i bought some 10w/30 car motor oil from my local car shop, £4 for a litre. Seems to have worked alright, quite loud and i only put a few drops on the splines and the engagement bit. It sounds more 'clicky' than before, instead of just a wurr noise... If it keeps skipping after this lil service ill probably send the wheel over to you, need that wheelbuild done still anyway
  19. Ooh just checked out the king manual and it says you can use a 10w oil instead and it works the same, just louder... so ill do that as its cheaper
  20. Cheers just found some on their site

    Need A Name

OK make that Gorilla records. Or guerrila records maybe, that sounds/looks cool....
  22. good old mavic rim on a hope xc, and avid mechanical/hope mono trial disc.
  23. Gonna try and not bodge it as much as possible really..... cant find anywhere in the uk that sells the official grease  . the castrol stuff is fine for the diagonal nothces on the driver/hub though. Would carbon-based grease work maybe? I've cleaned it all out again properly and just need some grease to put in it now.
