Just think of the fixed cog being a freewheel with no delay - full engagement, that is always engaged and can't slip. 2 freewheels wouldnt work. at all.

I have a profile hub and its great. Very easy to service and replace parts, excellent customer service. I didnt have a clue about them, and i got a second hand one that was totally mashed. Had to replace the driver, all bearings, springs.......and it didnt require any special tools or anything. And parts are easy to come by. 48 engagements is enough for me definatly, and im sticking with profile :- . It skipped a few times when i replaced the springs, and when i flooded it with oil :"> , but its fine now :) . Very solid clicks and very reliable :) . Never tried an ENO but i dont want a front freewheel to be honest, would rather a fully serviceable hub.

Oh yeah and im seriously regretting not handing in my job application form :- . I NEED MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mines going crapper than i thought....was planning on going to reading, oxford etc. to ride but my monty rear rim is totally fooked, which in turn is fooking my new koxx bloxx brake pads as the brake surface is cracked, and dented all the way round :- and i dont have any money at the moment to buy a ronnie. So....im screwed really.

Yeah the eyes there. Any other ideas? I cant figure it out at all..

Yeah everyone camps for 3 days, or you can go up on saturday or sunday for a day. But camp! Its mega fun :wink2: :P

I've been having quite bad back pains recently, and it seems to get worse when i ride. Whenever i wake up the next morning after riding it absolutely kills, near the bottom of my bike. I think it may be because my bike is way too small for me... (monty x-lite, im 5'11)....has anyone else had similar problems? I'll probably go up the doctors sometime and get it checked out anyway. Neither work on my comp for some reason. Curlkoxx doesnt work, just shows a picture of vincent hermance which im guessing is the first frame, and nothing else, but the music plays. And gojira plays but is SUPER shakey for some reason. I have divx etc etc, never had a problem before... noz.

Hey all.... I'm using a monty x-lite rim atm and i used to have an alex rim which was perfect for braking with a grind. I just did a really nice grind on my monty, the same as what i used to do on my alex rims, and the brake is alright, but i havent got the big 'SQUEAK' that i had with my alex rim. It just makes a swoosh noise, similar to koxx rims. So...are these rims a similar material to koxx rims? The brake is well set up with a nice grind and koxx bloxx. Nozio.

I've used loctite on about 3 Claws, when i used them, and all my mates use loctite aswell. Just take off the lockring, clean the threads on the lockring and on the part of the freewheel where the lockring screws on to. Make sure you clean it well with petrol or something, and wait till its fully dry. Then put some loctite on the LOCKRING threads, not the freewheel. If you put it on the freewheel threads it can get onto the bearings and knacker it up. Then just screw it on tight, wait for half an hour, and ride. Can all be done on the crank, and its very easy. Has worked for me first time, every time :S

Thy sound good. If they get well tested etc. i may have to get the bmx version :S . More expensive though at around $250

OK Thanks Adam. I thought it might need replacing as the end of each EP is a bit rounded, from where the pawl has been rubbing on it when ridden. Compared to the part of the EPs thats not in contact with the pawls, its blunter. Although, i havent had any problems with skipping (apart from when i replaced the springs). Thanks Noz.

You mean the cog that the chain goes onto? If so i dont mean that, and the lockring that held my cog on came loose before aswell, but i got loctite on it now. I'm talking about the ring inside the hub body (goldy coloured) that the pawls lock onto.

When im doing a backwheel or gap or something, i always have the front brake pulled as i cant keep the finger loose on the lever and gap/backwheel, find it really hard. Once im actually up on the wall though, i can let the front wheel spin.

I don't have one. And the Help-Contents bit is a bit crap and it doesnt really tell you how to do it. I'm having problems superimposing text aswell - i put it in Video 2 (S track) with the movie in Video 1, but the movie just plays with no text at alll.... with transparency on the text.

OK Then cheers. I see where your coming from with it screwing in...and then when you pedal the pawls tighten it up. Does anyone know for certain if the profile hubs do this? I'll give profile a ring tomorrow and see if theyd do it for me aswell :S
