    Big Problem...

Right, i just took the lockring off and i THINK the profile driver thread is ok! hallelujah! The lockring threads are f*cked though. I'm guessing thats aluminium and the driver is steel? Anyway, heres some piccys: So...i think i should be ok with a new lockring... ill look on custom riders.co.uk. If anyone wants to post what site i can get new lockrings from while i eat my tea i'd be eternally greatful :- (N) Cheers, Noz.

    Big Problem...

I don't need any pawls/springs because theyre all fine...just need the driver shell. I'll e-mail alans or wherever and see if theyll sell me a driver without the bearings, cog, etc... Also - anyone know where i can get the standard driver, not titanium?

    Big Problem...

Was so nice too (N) . Will get a big spanner tomoz and see what the threads like inside...if its totally gone ill buy a new *rip-off* driver. And no im not having any luck :- Noz.
  8. Went riding on the profile today, it started to feel weird so i carried my bike home.. Got home to find that the lockring on the driver had dethreaded :- . I really cant be f*cked anymore... Anyone know if theres any way i can fix this? The cog is really loose and theres bits of metal all over the place, im guessing i just need a new driver (N) . I'll get pics in a mo. Noz.
  9. Brake is fine now, i just tightened the bolt on the lever. It rubs a bit but i'll leave it (N) Noz.
  10. Are you sure thats definately why? if so thats no problem my lbs can do that too.." . Cheers
  11. I've had it helicoiled and will probably have it faced next week. Another problem i have is that the lever pulls in a hell of a lot, more than any other hopes ive used on my mates bikes. I'm guessing this is because the disk mounts arent aligned properly. Its also rubbing on one of the pads. I'm using monty x-lite forks so the disc mount is quite hefty.
  12. I'll play  . My mate has a server but i dunno if it could handle 10 people, ill ask him. noz.
  13. It is rubbing (the pad) , but only slightly so ill ride until i can get it faced probably. Or do you mean is it rubbing on the actual caliper? And its being helicoiled atm to make sure i dont strip any threads...
  14. One of the pads was rubbing  . I also need the caliper helicoiled as the threads are a bit buggered to be honest...so ill try and get that done today. Noz.
  15. Cheers. My lbs is ordering in a tool and should be able to do it next week. Thanks. Noz.
  16. What exactly is disc mount facing? My lbs should be able to do it whatever it is anyway.... Cheers, Noz.
  17. Cheers all. I put it on with 2 bearings - one on either side of the driver, on the inside. It doesnt look like itll stress the axle too much, as its supported a lot by the bearinfs and washer already in inside. I'll ride it tonight and see how it goes, and i just wont do any drops etc. It feels AWESOME!
  18. I just recieved my front hope mini disc and im just trying to set it up with the shims. Basically caliper pad on the fork side is a lot closer to the rotor than the pad on the wheel-side. When i put shims between the caliper and fork, this moves the caliper towards the wheel, which is the opposite way to what i want. I have no idea how i get the caliper to move towards the fork as its just bolted onto the disc mounts  . My wheel is correctly in place. Can anyone help? Thanks.
  19. Think mine may have been lost in the post....i'll contact royal mail or something and let them know on monday, or earlier if it means i cant ride this weekend. A very disappointed noz
  20. Still not here  and ive got my front disc now so my bikes complete apart from them.... can anyone help...pwease?!
  21. I ordered some profile hub bearings for the driver (2, i already have 2 of them). They havent arrived yet and i really wanna ride this weekend....so do you think it'd be alright to run only 2 bearing cartridges in the driver rather than 4? The bearings were sent about 3 days ago and havent arrived because of royal snail mail  so it may be a while till i get them.... but do you think itd be alright to do it temporarily? Cheers, Noz.
  22. I'd keep using a grind... but if you dont want to you could put 2 bits of sandpaper between the pads and the rim and ride around with the brake on.
  23. Could try uninstalling aston, see if its OK, then reinstall.
  24. Yeah both the master and slaves are 14mm. I think the hs11s had a 16mm master or something? meaning less power....and they improved it. So its a 2:1 ratio.
