  1. yo people...... Bought bike recently, came with tensiles which are not a crank im familiar with. They currently only have an 18t chainring fitted so i bought a bash to go with it however after removing the crank from the BB (isis if it matters) its not really apparent how the chainring fixes to the arm, (my old middleburns had a lockring). at a guess i would say it threads on (standard thread not left hand) BUT i see no threads either side of the chainring on the arm itself?! am i right in that they thread on? would like to know before i use heavy blunt instruments to remove small alloy parts. thanks.
  2. can you quantify why czar bars are 'shite'? are they prone to snaping?? be siilly to get rid of them otherwise as i like the width and sweep. tartybikes stem eh? thankyou people.
  3. bonjourno.... my zhi z2 came with an echo stem(, black, 4 bolt,) which i think is 15deg, 120mm??? personally speaking it feels like the front is a touch low and i think id enjoy a bit more reach. (im running czar flat bars) dont want to change bars as i like the current ones, whats the next step in terms of stems or what would be suited to this geo (1075, +35, 72 deg, 380mm). ?? cheers ears.
  4. Really? there no good huh? ............. shame, the prices are inviting.
  5. Bonsoir.... Not ridden trials for around 3 years and have just purchased a second hand zhi. its generally pretty good but theres a few bits i need to add/change but dont know and cant find out on the web what will and wont work........ id appreciate your advice on the following: 1 - It has tensile splined cranks with an 18t cog but no bashring. I can obviously buy the tensile bash but theres some nicer looking and cheaper ones about but i dont know if theyll fit?? this s the one im thinking of getting: http://www.trials-uk.co.uk/product.aspx?productid=1512 will it fit? or can i at least make it fit easily enough? 2- the frame is flexing at rear brake so a booster is in order. i always used a 4 bolt heatsink on my old adamant which made for a real stiff brake. are 2 bolts considered better these days, someone mentioned that they give better bite? whats the deal? 3- Rear tyres:. I like maxxis high rollers in super tacky compund, are they still a top notch tyre? and would anyone know if a 2.5 version will clear the zhi frame with a revell rim? 4 - Front tyres: try all sticky still good? or what else should i look at thats light ? dont like a front tyre over 2.2 really. 5 - All these cnc fancy pants levers avaliable for maggies. are they any cop or am i better going with the old trusted standard jobbies? 6 and finallly..... Maggie pads. i used to run heatsink reds in cnc backings and koxx browns. i like the brake to be really sharp..... what pads should i be looking at? thanks in advance you bunch of sexy bastards. Tommy.
  6. Hiya mate. Are you interested in the bike? I'm in Peterborough but I'm happy to post as well.

  7. faversham you say....... well i wont be about, infact i dont currently have a bike! But, on that side of kent your best spots are: Herne bay seafront. around 2 miles of quality street . from the train station just follow the signs for the seafront. Ramsgate. again the seafront is your best bet. in the actual harbour just to the right of the maratime museum (thing with big clock on it) theres a bunch of big rocks that you can session for hours. also if you head towards broadstairs (head right if your looking at the sea) and go up ontop of the cliffs theres around 4-5 spots again that you can loose hours on. direct trains from faversham to here and herne bay. Faversham isnt great, there are spots but there all over the shop. try down by the river around tescos or the central park. a bit further away is folkstone, worth the trip as well, miles and miles or stuff in and around the harbour, promenade, seafront, cliff tops. decent bike shop too (activ). best of luck....
  8. dover? i mean really, of all the places to ride........ dover. its full of f**king immigrants, windy and sports barely mediocre riding. ill ask queen pete wah gwan
  9. blimey, ive driven past vic park a thousand times, never thought it would have a sneeky trials spot! if anyones driving there from south east, its a absolute doddle to get to from the blackwall tunnel and theres a fair amount of parking around the adjacent roads. maybe after a days riding we can nip down to brick lane for a ruby?!.
  10. hai to you. i will i will i will. honest! cars nearly there, it goes and works now, just final touchs then im free at weekends again.
  11. yes sir fat pants, Herne bay is jolly. Ramsgates also worth a punt.
  12. i like whitstable. i went there last friday with the lady. we had pimms by the sea. and a very nice dinner in the town. riding can be problematic. however i still enjoy it. but im not riding all that much at present. in fact quite rarely. my bike is dusty. hai 2 u.
  13. well shag me sideways, pete link, fresh british talent, roll up roll up.... its nice.
  14. i very much doubt thats for trials riders. prob to stop birds landing on and therfore crapping all over them. we use a similar tecqnique to areas of train stations and public buildings.
  15. hi hi hello and welcome..... if the weather is as jolly smashing as it is today i will rear my ugly head in herne . if not you wont see or hear of me for another 3 months. regards, The scene
