  1. Good work soldier, you understood the intended pun.
  2. That's your most impressive post to date, well played!
  3. ...and since the two of you are lovers, he'll just slip 'em in your drink or something
  4. Daniel got some from the US but I think they were Harley Davidson jobbys (cost about £11 inc shipping too from what I remember) - might help to look around at places that might stock those?
  5. Yeah, I had it done on two '04 Echo Control frames and would happily claim they were the strongest brake mounts I've ever run on a frame There was around 1mm of solid material all the way around the insert, which I wasn't too sure about at first, but after checking it all out and thinking long and hard I went ahead with it and certainly wouldn't look back You could always knock up something just a touch larger than M6 to give yourself a little more surrounding material if you'd prefer/need to The reason you won't find much smaller standard inner/outer pitch style inserts is due to the fact this'll lead to regions of very little material within the insert, making the stress distributions within irregular I would imagine (See Diagram) You need to keep a tihck enough wall for this not to be much of an issue really As you can see, the thinner the wall of the insert the closer the two threads are together, and the more likely this thin region is to become too small/impossible A Helicoil style insert has the same pitch inside and out, so won't have this issue and is a coil sitting in it's own thread as opposed to a solid peice
  6. Because everyone has acces to a lathe/turning kit and/or Ti rods?
  7. Controls should never go above +20, 25 at a real push I think with a lower BB and nicer front end (where's the pimping Control downtube front? Obviously removed for weight, but it's not a Control without it!) it'd be hawt and deserving of the title
  8. If there's enough surrounding material, it's the way to go - I've done it to 2 frames I've had and wouldn't hesitate to do it again if standard helicoiling wasn't an option
  9. Nobody is at the moment, which is why he's released this line of kit, obviously!
  10. Nothing at all John (just remind me not to invite you round when I have kids )
  11. As far as I'm concerned, Deng's ruined the Echo Control
  12. With shiny presents to make me happy
  13. Oh, so everyone comes to visit the weekend I'm away! Gimps
  14. Often coils are listed as M* x L, (* obviously depending on diameter and L being the coil length) As has been stated, the thread won't be standard M6 pitch - though may be doable still - otherwise you'll need to helicoil it to M6 (assuming there's enough surrounding material)
  15. First time in ages I've not been able to sleep due to being too tired Also the earliest start in ages tomorrow! What a combo
  16. Just watched Death Race - for all you film critics out there, SCREW YOU Fast cars - check Chicks and small clothing - check Explosions - check No real plot - check One liners throughout - check Jason Statham - checkmate Ideal!
  17. Unfortunately it happens - you don't see too much of it on the forum as if everyone posted then it'd get pretty clogged/ridiculously annoying all the time Cage pedals can be bought for very little
  18. Cool stuff - awesome to see that some people realise that even a mod can be used for more than just a few moves
  19. Not trying to make a stupid comment, this is a genuine question: If you weren't having a good ride, why upload the clips?
  20. Does sound like you've laced one quarter of the spokes 'a hole too short' around the rim, if you catch my drift? If that's the case whip the offending spokes out from their nips and move them round a touch If not, can't really suggest much more A picture speaks a thousand worms and all that mind...
  21. To be honest, it's not going to make any significant difference to anyone's life by knowing what it really says anyway
