  1. ay,it does belong to me,was scabbed up when the pic was taken, cos i had it done the day before, looks mintah now though!! Carl
  2. this is just utter stupidity for it even to get that far in the first place.comment are made about people every day!theres no need for a commitee to be involved, and what i wanna know,is when did they go Pete Wright on everyone? (for those that remember, everything you said,he would sue you for). The way i see it,is if a sport as big as motocross doesnt have this much of a response from peoples comments etc,why the hell does trials need to? Wayne, all the best mate, and i hope they make the right decision. Carl
  3. go on tartybikes website, and it tells you what grind suits the koxx blues best. Carl
  4. Ali C had some i think,so he should help you, theres also someone on here that makes them, cant remember who though but Ali should be able to help Carl
  5. ive just read this topic from start to finish, and its amazed me,i never thought about stuff like that before.Kinda makes me think i should have taken some pictures when i was working in the tunnels under Windsor Castle, which i managed to get lost in for a day,yet managed to get out in time for the end of work. im gonna looking at some more of this stuff now,its brilliant! Carl
  6. looks tasty,i think that'd be pretty popular! i think the droputs and the hub spacing is a brilliant idea, and that disc mount actually looks useable! very impressed Carl
  7. ill do 23rd,cant do the sunday though due to band practice... Carl
  8. My Adamant, she's a bit battered now,but hey!and yes that is rust on my forks.... still a few things i need to do to her,but ill put them pics up when its done. Carl
  9. apparently according to people at download festival,i look and act like "Keef" richards, and im more jack sparrow than jack sparrow is due to the crazy arms and hands thing i do when im drunk...my head tends to move on its own too.... Carl
  10. basically, you will pretty much be guaranteed to need to re-bleed (that rhymes!!).and you will need a new olive to,if i remember rightly, when the bolt is done up it pinches the olive up onto the hose, meaning you cant get it off.but its been a few years since i cut a hose down. chances are though,it'll turn up pre cut.where'd you order them from? Carl
  11. anyone noticed how Sam (wheeler) bears a stiking resemblance to Lil' Chris ch-ch-ch-check him out! Carl
  12. stanley knife,or scalpel blad, anything like that.but make sure you have the olive to put on,as you cant get them off the old bit of hose, and itll probably want re-bleeding afterwards Carl
  13. im a vocalist... not a great one,but im one hell of a performer i sing for a sleaze rock band called pistol kixx, cos rock n roll never died,it just went on a binge! Carl
  14. i used to run a light grind on the front with Magura's Kool Stops, worked very nice wet or dry,and the people i ride with will back me up on this. Carl
  15. plead ignorance.your 18,and you werent to know whats going on.if he's your employer, technically he should be responsible. Snapple's advice is pretty spot on Carl
  16. it cant be that secret, both of you found it.im guessing there are alot more people on here that know of it,they just dont realise its the same guy.besides,if you know someone on that side of the world,it doesnt matter if they own a shop or not, just get them to buy it with your money, and send it to you, bingo, money saved straight away... i'd get anything i thought would look nice to ride.similar geo to my current frame Carl
  17. you dont wanna build muscle to stop arm pump, thats the worst thing to do.arm pump is where the lactic acid causes the muscle to expand.you want to keep the muscle reasonable, but build it for stamina, not strength.but yea, thinning the blood does help stop arm pump, slightly though. potasium helps it too, banana's are good for that. Carl
  18. when racing moto cross i used to have a gallon of water with 5 dissolvable aspirin in to sip from.the water hydrates you,and the aspirin thins the blood making the boody run cooler, and if you ask most of the top riders at british champs etc, most of them do the same, although for trials, youd probably want 1 aspirin for every 3-4 litres. Carl
  19. if i struggle to make it,its obviously bigger than i can normally do.and if i struggle to do it,ill keep doing it till i get it smooth, then find another thing i struggle to do.sod the tape, and for all the people that care about measuring, you probably losing a few mm anyway, cos tapes arent always acurate.the metal bit on the end wobbles about, and can be anything up to 5mm out Carl
  20. aight,i used to do the british championships,so ill try help out. firstly, whether you were good or not,the guy will say you are, because you can guarantee he'll make money out of you buying a bike. secondly, the cc you get will depend on your age if you want to race. 3rdly 1252stroke and 250 fourstroke are in the same class.a 125 2stroke wont kill your arms anymore than any other bike will,if you wanna race, you gotta be at the gym at least 4 nights a week,i started going when i was 12. if your just gonna get one to ride round in a field on,then if your under 16,a big wheeled 85 will be fine,or an old 100cc 2stroke,if your over 16,125 twostroke or 250 fourstorke is what you want.although 125cc 2strokes can only be raced at select meetings now, because theres a ban coming in soon on all 2stroke bikes due to pollution. hope this helps Carl
  21. i think what bongo is saying is right in the respect that office jobs etc look for things like gcse's,but, trades dont.e.g. electrician, plumber, carpenter, brickie etc. i was told that i had an apprenticeship waiting for me before i even sat my exams.i did ok,but not great. moneys fairly good in trades, and you get to do a physical job all day. so in respect,i agree with both statements made, and think you should kinda listen to both arguments, because it really depends on what kinda job your wanting to do.and anyone who says you cant earn money in a trade is nuts.£1000 a week is easy to come by once fully qualified. Carl
  22. yea man,3 years was too long! ill try to arrange something with you for a ride somewhere? and as for the name in pink bit...i only realised about 2 months ago!!
