  1. I put some savings into Nationwide for a year. They seemed to give the best rates - something like 6%. If you are a student you don't have to pay tax either .
  2. Hey So after finishing my literary review, i have to start on my methodology. Just wanted to know how you broke the subject down, as i'm not doing a good job at the moment. Please help! Neil
  3. I'm glad and sad at the same time. I hope everything will turn out OK Dave, sorry for not catching you on MSN, my comp is usually left on when i'm down the library. We'll catch up in a bit XxX
  4. Hey I'n my experience i would get some chain tugs. When i first started mod i rode without tugs or snail cams. Within a few hops chain tension had gone and the wheel moved. I tried chain tugs, but with a deng frame they don't fit. I had to buy snail cams in the end. I purchased my chain tugs from halfords ....for free . I would err on the side of caution and buy some cheap chain tugs. Are you sure snail cams don't work on the justice, or have you just not screwed in the snail cam bolts into the frame. Sorry i can't be of more help, but i think get snail cams if you can, if not chain tugs Neil
  5. Same, i've been up all night - it has to be in at 3.30 i think.....it's all crap what i've written. I think it's like 40% of the final grade too!
  6. I must say i don't totally agree with that, sorry to be a pain. I've bled my brake many times using just a bucket and some water and i think people will agree that it has a very nice feeling to it (responsive and no mushy feeling). The brake will work if it has air in it, it will just feel mushy, i know a guy who actually likes it like that.....strange kid...... No need to invest in a bleed kit, just do it in the sink or a bucket. If you struggle there is something in "Wiki" (i think thats the name). If not there are loads of topics on how to bleed a brake. I only posted around 4 days ago telling a guy how to do it. Good luck Neil
  7. What made me start: I originally started dirt jumping in the woods around my area. Then one day i saw an older lad doing a wheelie then attemping to back hop. I thought it looked pretty cool and i might pull some fanny by doing these tricks. With my trustworthy Marin Bobcat Trail (i think), i attempted some moves. Over time i just tried to immitate what that older kid did. Then i found out it was an actual sport by reading MBUK and i decided to get a proper trials bike. Inspirations: Martyn Ashton and Martin Hawyes.
  8. I felt the same way as you did at first - I wanted to buy and sell items on the forum. I thought it was a silly idea at first, but now i realise there is a reason for pre-members - to try and sort out the riff raff. Try to accept its a fact and there is nothing you can do about it. Just write a few useful posts and you will get validated in no time at all. It's not a big deal at all! Good luck!!
  9. Its really strange.......i just keep thinking about him. When i saw the picture of him on the previous page i just thought - "thats the Oli i knew, cheeky grin, that boy was always smiling". I remember the last time i saw him (few weeks ago), we were praticing satic hooks and i couldn't get them and he was nailing a few, he just kept saying "this is the only thing i can do better than you Neil", makes me smile when i think about it. One of the best rides i had in ages that week, i'm glad my last memory of him was that day. Oli, i honestly wish you all the best up there. You were one of the nicest guys who always helped out anyone with a bike problem! I wish you had not been taken away from us so soon, but i know you'll be doing good where ever you are. May you ride and rest in peace forever matey. XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx

  12. Damn Moggles edited the title! Sunday should also be fine as i have no friends and no life, which means i can go out riding.

  16. Hey, my friend had this problem and we tried for ages to get it out. In the end i gave it to my ex's dad who got it out at work. I believe you need one of these - EASY OUT Neil going cheap too!
  17. Actually..........i think you ARE right, but....... My ex, many many years ago, got a tattoo when she was 16. She went in with her dad and hey presto, Eeyore was on her hip. Maybe you have to have parental consent - i don't know. But when i got my tattoo they never asked me for I.D, but i had to sign a disclaimer. It was a pretty nasty place i got mine done to be honest. Also about getting a bike - people say you'll grow out of it, but i'm 21 and still into it. A tattoo of a bike would mean something to me, even when i was older. It would remind me of the good times i had, so if you want it i suggest you go get it. Neil PS my housemate randomly went to get a tattoo and she let the artist have creative rights - looked like crap and she just cried, but it's on her bum so only people doing her doggy are going to see it. Think carefully about where you're going to get it.
  18. Fooking working, been at it for ages and it's still not anywhere near finished. I wouldn't mind but i've been up for the last week with around 5 hrs sleep a day.... it's all just one big blurr. OK back to it Neil!!!!! Coursework sucks!!! - i need a poo, but i have to hold it in and get this coursework done!
  19. It's OK mate i have the answer........ I snapped my monty stem a while ago, it wasn't one of the newer ones, it was an old one that looked like the current Onza ones - really high. Sitting on the back wheel, the bike felt great, it didn't hurt my back riding anywhere as you are more upright. Overall i was quite happy with it. Then it broke.... I used my Echo Hi Fi stem - really low like the Zoo ones, anyway, my sidehops increased in height by around half an inch immediately, you don't have to pre load as much, switches (pigeons..???) are much easier as you don't hit you balls on the stem. Gaps to front, however didn't really improve much, gaps felt as if i could put in more effort, but didn't actually improve. The main point i will highlight is that a low stem makes the bike feel a hell of a lot shorter! I'd say try a low one, i don't think i'd go back now. Neil
  20. Lola Velvet-Hooters! Mine sucks ass, i want another one
  21. Translation: Kebab was not open tonight, due to the fact he hasn't got any business. Adam is feeling hungry, i'd like some food and a refreshing beverage to wash it down and then a gay man to finish off the night. Have a pleasant night fellow forum users.
  22. Well, these boys obviously thought that their rim would fold (as said in my previous post), thus their rational was the spokes were unsafe and the rim was beyond repair (as would be Tunni's thought process). You cannot clearly see the damage to the wheel, so to you it may seem safe, in reality it may be very in very poor condition. EDIT: I remember a video with Rich Pearson; he egged his wheel and tried to fold it by doing some large drops. It held two or so drops and didn't fold. You guys didn't have a go at him for doing it? The point i'm making is the rim didn't fold easily, yet nobody said a word to him as he kept trying to fold it......... By saying "this video however seemed pointless as the rim didnt actually break", clearly shows there is a point to the video. The point they were making was a rim which was/is considered a weak rim took a hell of a beating. But, overall they were just having fun with some parts they would throw away. I do see both sides of the argument, to be honest my initial reaction was "silly kids", but seeing what you guys are saying to them is out of order in my opinion. If you didn't like the video, just say that. Don't go on and on and on about it (like i am ). Try watching it again and think of mucking around with your friends when you were young. OK, i really need to finish my essay........
  23. Hey I'm not one to rant and rave on the forum, however, one thing does piss me off a little bit in this instance.....read on..... Neil Tunnicliffe absolutely ruins rims and spokes, i'm sure we've all seen the video when he purposely gaps to a coner and folds a rim. He could well have not done that and saved the spokes/given the to sombody/sold them, but he ruins them. When you see his videos you never comment on how he was stupid to do that. Now these guys were having a bit of fun with a trashed rim, they've said they couldn't/wouldn't sell it so they thought they'd dent/fold it. I personally don't aprove as i'd be worried about ruining my hub and spokes, but if they want to do it thats fine - It's their choice. But don't slate them because they're not Tunni. They're doing exactly the same thing he does on loads of videos! As for posting a video....well it was just the young ones having some fun - youth of today! To be honest i did have a little chuckle too..... :$ P.S. Dave - yes we are smooth, hence the tryall rims.
