  1. Nope it didn't work, but it looks like i'm missing spacers. I've sent for some from profile. Mhhhh
  2. Sorry guys i can't get pics as i have no access to the camera at the moment (parents have nicked it!). BUT.... i took the wheel up to my room and had a fiddle with it and now it runs fine. I think the problem was just a bit of grit, it's really strange.... but i did play about with the spacers position a bit. Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions Neil
  3. Sorry i'm moving away so i'm not gonna be there, but have a good ride!
  4. Nice one Joe, i'll give it a try tomo - i've been at this all day! The only paper thin washer i found was on the inside of the non drive side axle. But i've been mucking around with this and still it just won't turn (the cog that is), but it's fine when i loosen the 8mm bolts Thanks again people, but more ideas please!
  5. Anyone? Do you think it's just those very thin spacers?
  6. After talking to a nice fellow on my MSN, he reckons that it is the spacers too. But the very thin ones, is that what you mean Caleb? I've taken out the snail cam bolts as i gave up on them after 2 mins, but thanks for letting me know i can run them - i deffo will do. Overall i think that the guy has only given me one spacer (paper thin ones), and i need more. Is this the general jist of what everyone thinks?
  7. Hi guys I bought this profile off a member of the forum and as i have never used a profile before i'm a lil unsure of the set up. I've put the hub in the frame and got those two massive washers on the outside and as soon as i tighten the bolts the cog will not move round. Is there a problem with the hub or am i doing something wrong? Also can you run snail cams with a profile? Cheers Neil
  8. Hmmm interesting, thanks vey much "kieldp". Does anyone have anything else to say about this bottom bracket? Ta Neil
  9. Hi guys I was looking for a new bottom bracket and i came accross this one "MOE ISIS bottom bracket" It seems a very good price and a good weight. Can any of you tell me what it's like and will it fit my Echo team 07 frame? Cheers Neil
  10. Hey there are loads! The local who usually go together are; Ross Gardner - Winnersh Martin Grainer - Winnersh Joe White - Winnersh Ben Jones - Early Dan Gray - Early Steve Howeson - Wokigham (Woosehill) Neil Chana (me)- Wokigham (Woosehill) Ross and Martin are on a totally different level by the way...... Ross is getting back from hols next week, i'm off on my hols next week! But i could get a ride in before i go. Add me on Handsomedog1@hotmail.com And we are all really sad and spend every minute on the forum! Damn you Joe, too fast! LMAO! He didn't really forget about you Dan. xxxx
  11. Yeah i get that. But i'm looking for answers about the things you can't see - i'll try and explain. You can clearly see with a high bb you have more clearance, so you can put a picture of your bike in your head and do the move, but i can't totally see how a high bb would give you more power to gap? Thanks though. Lol, i just read what i put above, i hope it makes sense to other people!
  12. Sorry Quackers, you replied before i could complete my post! I pressed enter a lil too early lol. Interesting thoughts though.....i did find my long python easier to sidehop than my mates monty, but then i got thinking, is it weight that would make it easier to sidehop rather than length (as my python is lighter...i reckon)? I'm so confused! I really wish i could just buy loads of bikes and try them. Cheers Neil
  13. Hey I've been searching the forum for ages about the general idea of geometry and how it effects your riding. Not one topic seems to agree on anything? The most common answers are below; Larger BB rise the more control you have on the back wheel, less stable when riding in a straight line. More power to gap. Longer chain stays help with gaps but are less stable on the rear wheel. Head angle: Steeper the angle, the harder it is to hook. Top tube length: longer easier to tap, but with a high BB rise it feels shorter. Please could somebody confirm this? How does BB rise effect front wheel gaps? Part Deux I've been offered a good deal on a brand new Echo Team frame (£150 as i'm going to Canada), but i'm not sure if it's the 07 frame yet. If it is, the BB rise is 60mm! I'm only 5ft 8ish. I don't do a lot of streety moves any more, mostly sidehops and backwheels (not taps). Would this actually be suited to me. i'm currently riding a python 06 long and i though i would try something shorter. I'm affraid it will feel too short with that BB rise. Any ideas on what they are like to ride? Any help would be much apreciated! Cheers Neil
  14. You could sell me your XTP for a good price Neil PS i can get hold of a T pro frame too.....
  15. I just spoke to the airline and they said it's free to take it . I double checked on the website too! The reson i thought it would cost £40 was because it stated £40 for a differnt airline! Woop i'm happy. I'll try and bring some other bike bits back too EDIT: Also they do not cover any damage, but i do have travel insurance
  16. Hmmmm.....see i was thinking about that too, but i was worried about not having enough "weight" to carry over to compensate for my clothes (hope that makes sense). It's a mod so i may have enough to roon in a suitcase. I think my limit is 20Kg, and i guess i could give some stuff to my Dad...... Anyone else done this? Cheers
  17. That would be great, thanks Partz. If it's not too much trouble of course Thanks again
  18. Fantastic! Thanks guys, any more help would be much apreciated too! Neil
  19. Hi guys I'm going to Canada next week for 2 weeks and i was just wondering if any of you guys knew any Canadian forums (i found one, but i isn't great). Also looking for some Canadian trials shops in Vancouver. Cheers Neil PS i'm taking my bike .....£40....not so good
  20. Nice one dude! I thought you said you didn't have enough big drops and gaps....... looked like you had a good few . I think you and Martin are on a different level now - well done!
  21. I may be out, just got a busy weekend. But i'll give it my best! PS some grat pics of Southampton! Nice sidehops Rossy G. Neil
