Inur - Ahhh now i get you!! Cheers guys, i think I may try to get the long python, but i need a go on the GU to be certain. Keep any comments coming guys! Cheers Neil

Thanks Ash, always most helpful! elcristoff-t-pro, my 06 is 1045! I just measured it (like 10 times to make sure) and 1045 is the shortest it could possibly be. I'm riding it with some monty forks, i don't know if that would explain the length. But i always felt i needed a longer frame. Danny, there is no need to keep showing off!!!! Jokes, the thing is i don't go to many rides and all my mates at uni ride stock and my friends back home ride fairly short bikes (mod). I did have a go on a Zoo 07 once and i did really like it. Thats made me want one , but i though i should consider the GU and get some views on it. Do you find specific moves easier on one bike than the other? Inur.....I have no idea what you mean? PS i'm actually pretty short (height wise), but i don't seem to find mods long.....arrgghhh people with these bikes come to visit me!

I moved to mod a year ago. I first rode a 05 short Python, then moved to an 06 long python. I seemed to progress more on the 06 long python and now i'm looking to upgrade again!! The contenders are the Zoo 07 python and GU 07. The thing is the GU is 1025 according to tarty which seems a bit short, but I think i want a long frame?? So i was thinking about the Zoo, but the zoo has longer chain stays and a shorter top tube than the gu? So which would ride better, as this says to me the Zoo would be less stable on the back wheel but the gu will have a long top tube which would be better for sidehops? OK i'd be surprised if anyone gets what i'm on about, so if you don't just tell me what you think the advantages are for a long mod frame and short mod frame. If you could focus on the GU and ZOO 07 that would be good. i'm not good at explaining things Cheers Neil

Hey Yeah, Tarty sell them as disc or magura. The ones i'm getting are disc only. Another thing is they are heavier than the ones on Tarty........ ok the pair i'm buying have a star nut in but this still doesn't account for the weight difference. The seller (really nice guy actually) said that he bought them with a levelboss frame kit 3 yrs ago. So the difference in weight could just be that it's a newer design. But i never heard of the Koxx Forxx having different versions. Either way they're still lighter than the Echo lites so i may buy them. Cheers Neil

I was thinking of buying some Koxx forks off this guy. He said they came off a standard Koxx, so he was not sure if they were Koxx Forxx or not? Could someone clarify if these forks are indeed Koxx Forxx. The forks look exactly the same as Koxx Forxx and i think came off the levelboss. When speaking to friends they said they believe the only other forks Koxx do is the pair on the "Djin" (or something), so all the others muxt be Koxx Forxx? Any info would be great. Cheers Neil

Sorry to hear about this mate. I was hoping this thread would be put to rest. The guy who ended up sending me the bike (Michael Harrison's friend), seemed to be an ok guy. But i think the reason for him sending the bike was because his paypal was being used. If you wanted to get in contact with him i think his addy is biker_one@hotmail.com. If you need any info just PM me. Hope everthing is ok and you can get some things back.

Hey I recently got oil all over my disc. I tried to resurect the pads through BBQing and sandpaper, but noting worked. I've purchased some new ebc gold pads, but i'm worried the rotor may have some residue of oil on it. What is the best way to wash/clean it? I had a little search and there were a few suggestions of; fairy, heating with a blow torch and sandpaper etc. But what is the best way if there are any other ways. Cheers Neil

Hmmmmmm.......interesting. So what sort of compound would give me some decent stopping power?? So Kris, the gold ones you think would be the best? Have you used them before? Anyone ever used any other pads???? Ta Neil
-
Thanks for all the replies guys!! Kris, i bought some EBC golds off bike dock and he said the green ones are geared more for trials. luckily he hadn't sent them and i told him to hold off on payment while i found a bit more out. He said the gold ones wont get hot enough and are geared towards dh?? Any more replies, please don't hesitate!! Cheers Neil FRIDAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I really did enjoy the section with the yellow rail, not to mention some of the other rails, very impressive. Good to see you expanding your bag of tricks. I feel this is deffo your best vid yet, lots of variety and big moves, glad to see you passed the 40" mark too!! Gonna overtake me in a few days!! Anyways hope to see you today, (I think i'm picking you up??) Neil

Price is not too much of an issue as i'm working for a year while staying at home. onza boy i do wonder if it was just that the freewheel was new or that there really was a problem with the freewheel. Is there ANYONE who has a proper review on the freewheel??
-
I'm really interested in this thread at the moment. I've tried to get my W.I. ENO off my stock hub to put on my mod cranks. I took it to my bike shop and they can't do it . My ENO worked really well on my stock but now with all these other freewheels comming out, i'm thinking about more engagement points. I would pay the £50 for the Tryall freewheel, but mentioned above, there is more chance of skipping. Has anyone tried one for a month or so? If so could i be pointed in the direction of the review. I've had very little (really no problems) with my eno, would this be stronger than the tryall? I was thinking about this new tensile, but will it be much stronger? I will be riding street btw. cheers Neil

Ewwwwwww I thought i should point out to people i had my bag nicked from 10m away (it was round a corner) from me, otherwise i would have just got a bladder and tube! Lil shits! I think i like the idea of a smallish bag, but i would be able to clip my helmet to the outside. Thanks for all the ideas/info, been really helpful!
