  1. The skatepark is right next to Caversham bridge. It's pretty much just behind the station......over the big roundabout and there you are, it's hard to explain if you don't know TGI and stuff, but that is the general direction (behind the station), :ermm: look for the Thames at the back of the Station and with the Thames flowing from right to left, the skate park will be on your right! :( I know this didn't help :"> I think i'm going to be at Portsmouth for the ride with my uni buddy's even though i live :"> in Reading (Wokingham) and i'm skint...... Not that you wanted to know all this but i don't know any Reading riders, so i was trying to make an effort  Neil
  2. Hey man got your text but, no credit to reply. I'm pretty sure i'll be there, got the new bike working. I have to show Quigley it  I'm only just managing to front touch bar height so im not really feeling it, but i wouldn't mind seeing some of the guys again.... Talk to you soon bro :ermm: Neil
  3. I got a quick problem if there is any help out there :P I have a Surly tensioner but, it's too tight on the chain. I can't do crankflips and pedaling is getting harder, it's not the spacec between my middleburns as i sanded them down..... A LOT! (Y) Any info on how to correct this would be nice (Y) Thanx Neil (Y)
  4. Hey, I got a XT hub used for about a month £20 and a d521 ceramic £15 and a silver £10 PM me if you're interested, good luck with the build as i know you didn't post in the for "sale/wanted" section, so this was just incase you were interested and to help you save some money...... (Y) Neil (Y)
  5. I ride with any soft soled shoes, for example adidas shells (old skool run DMC style). Vans are also popular But any cheap shoe with a soft sole works. I do warn you the shoes will get ripped and have imprints of your pedals on the sole, so just use them for trials not going out. I'm pretty sure there are more topics on the forum with this nature, have a quick search. They could tell you about trials specific shoes.....which i have no i dea on. Good luck....and buy white trainers because they are cool (Y) Neil
  6. So bleeding it with water.....does this make the lever sharper or softer??? Thanx Neil
  7. My honigs have came away from the backing within 2 hrs of riding but, didn't snap the backing........strange :)
  8. You may want the double wall one for the rear, a lil heavy but nice and strong, nicer for street Unless you already know this, its just you said £15 and i paid £30 (Y) Neil
  9. I know all you guys are Mod riders but, can i run this free wheel (acs claw) with my single speed converted hope XC hub. (i ride stock (26" :D )) I was talking to Steve (guy who posted (Y) ) :) , and we're both not really too sure on how to do this....or if it's possible????? Well bad boi Steve has more of an idea than me. He says i need a new hub :D Any info would be nice, Neil :o
  10. I used a mavic ceramic and a normal D521 and had no problems :) i've now got a tryall rim and im not totally convinced yet, but bump up the tyre pressure. If you want a d521 rim i got a few i could do for about £10 (email me if you're interested on Handsomedog1@hotmail.com) Neil

    180's

I do the streety bunny hop 180's. Just lift up and follow round. I tried on on my new bike ( without a rear brake as the mounts havn't come  ) and i rolled my ankle, so just don't do 180's without a rear brake to catch you on an unfamiliar bike! Not gonna be able to ride it for like 3 weeks + Good luck  Neil
  12. I did that a while ago, still havn't really got all my confidence back yet, especially on front touches  Fooking hurts :o
  13. Echo Es2 2002 - headtube angle is 74* (*=degrees) - chainstay length is 15" Echo Es2 2003 - headtube angle is 72.5* - chainstay lenght is 15" (zero drop bb) Neil
  14. I take it back then, i guess it's pretty good  and there was a very nice helpful young man on the end of the phone :-
  15. I just ordered some yesterday, my topic was similar to yours about HS33 pads. Anyways......the pads seem to have good reviews for unground rims, otherwise the wear rate is very fast. But for £6 you can't go that wrong in my opinion. And when the new heatsink pads come out for £10, you will be able to afford them, instead of spending £17 odd pound on one set of pads.....this is my thinking, being an Economist :"> and this is most prob what i'm going to do Neil
  16. Thanks for all the info, i've ordered the £6 ones from heatsinks because i can't wait :) They should be ok as i have a smooth rim, and the wear rate shouldnt be too bad, especially for £6! ;) I will buy some of those new heatsink pads when the come out, and these have worn down! ~Neil~ :-
  17. I paid £30 for my 2.5 high roller  wasnt too happy, but i did need it within 2 days. I hope its worth it :-
  18. the Monty ones are £10 and will come in two days from Clean bikes, that doesnt sound too bad, But are they any good? I willhave a look at the reviews and see. Any more info on where to get the pads would be great guys! thanx Neil Are rim Jam greens any good/better than the monty ones? the green ones seem to wear fast from what i can decipher.
  19. Im looking for hardish pads, i usually use tar. I just want somehthing that will last a while. I used Kool stop ones with tar and they lasted less than 2/3 months. I need them asap, so Tarty bikes, heatsink bikes etc are out of stock. Bike dock is too expensive I didnt really want to spend over £10. The rim jam website says they are restocking and i was really looking for Rim Jam Blues PLEASE any help would be great.....i kind of need them by Wed!! thanx for the help Neil (Y)
  20. Too late guys bought one for £30! :) The aberdeen bikes one (Y) £5 for posting!!! I feel like crying Please nobody tell me where to get them cheaper  thanx for the help guys B)

What website or phone number man? EDIT: Got the aberdeen bike shop, i'll give them a ring tomo, nice one man :)
  22. I've been looking at a few shops as i wanted a 2.5 for my new bike. Everyone seems to be out of stock :ermm: 1) Does anyone where i can one from, as i have been recommended these tyres? 2) On the other hand does anyone know any good large tyres. Im runnin a tryall rim on an Echo urban, and i need a black tyre. Also needs to be fairly light and need to last as i do streety trials Thanx for the help, Neil :) (are tryall tyres any good?)
