Derrr....you can't bleed a BB7 Chris! I know i'm funny

NONONONO! You will hurt yourself! When you tap you do not touch your brake, the reason for grinding the front rim is the same as the rear - more bite and hold. Helps for front gaps, hooks, etc. If you do run a front maggy most riders will grind their front brake as they need the extra power when going big. plus it will work in the wet! Neil
-
Hey Dave Loved the rail at the end ! Also your style looks even more controlled than usual - which is REALLY saying something! Hope to see you soon, so you can teach me those up to fronts you do! Neil
-
Blimey Rudi! That shows some real progression since last time i saw you. I'm really impressed with the sidehops - coming along very nicely boi!!! Also the gap to front/90 was very smooth . I didn't realise you did gaps to front - looks like you have them dialed. And i did love the ending Keep up the good work and i'll see you next time you lot are down! Neil P.S. I do agree you look a lil cramped on the adamant, but you seem to be getting on with it well! Don't go to stock either!

Dudette! I just watched that slam and i've not laughed like that in a long time! Your mate just stops covers her mouth and looks at you...lol! Loved it! Must have hurt though . Neil

Owwww......i don't want my back to break! I do agree that white pads look the nuts! To give your brake a bit more bite use a grind or tar. This will increase the stopping power you have, thus increasing confidence. To start off with i would suggest tar, as grinding your rim over time will weeken it and as a beginner you'll be coming up short on a fair few things. I myself still use tar on a smooth rim and on my stock i use tar with a grind. The Mad Phase bikes are OK to begin with, however, you will out grow the components rapidly. The geo is fairly streety i felt, but would be a good all round trials bike. I would suggest getting a second hand one from the forum. I know new members are not meant to buy/sell, but if you get in contact with the seller via email and send the money, they will send the goods . Good luck Neil

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Clownbike replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Totally understand! But on the up side you give her loads of loving until you're ready and then you smash the ....you know. It makes for a good foundation i think . I don't think true love is the reason you can't get it up, but its because you are a nice guy. You think too much about it and you feel guilty that you don't know her well enough. These are all just guesses, but based on my experience. I recently had a few one nighters and felt pretty gash after because i don't think its right. But i'm finding it hard to meet nice girls. The ones you grind and get dirty with at clubs never seem to be ...datable.... mhhhh...enough about me. Good luck boys! Neil -
Lol, yeah! Specifically some old granny doing a 360 over a jump on a yellow bike! Ahhh those were the days - i think we're getting old Dan

Hey I must say, i am very surprised. When people say "i'm getting back into the sport", you don't expect too much, but that blew me away. I still think trials is a bit cooler, but your skills on a unicycle surpass any other person i've seen. For the first time i actually didn't mind watching someone on a unicycle. Keep up the trials though, i think you have the potential to be very good as you have the balance and control from your unicycle. Best of luck to you Neil P.S. You're going to ruin those lovely shoes with all that scuffing!!!!!

Yeah, good luck Tank Also Quigz is there anything you need for your bike that i can help with as you guys always help me !! Have a good ride guys - I'm in Reading so won't get to see you!

I think it does look quite nice, however, there are a few things....... The geo looks a lil poo - minus bb rise?? LOL i just read the first page, geo doesn't look bad....but it looks like a minus bb rise. Also i don't think the name "WTF" is very professionsal. I use bad language a lot which many have heard i'm sure, but i think the name encourages youngsters to use it which i'm not a fan of. Its great that it has a super stiff rear etc, but i think some research and development should have been put into making it more competitive on the weight front. Todays market seems to be weight weenies and i think it almost taking a step back, as this frame is more than th weight of my pashley back in the day! Is there any chance they could have made a light and strong frame as this is what the market desires. Also a tad pricey.... On the up side i think its always great to try something new and it looks different which is nice. Neil

Geo?

No other word but "beautiful".......

Hey Dave I thought the music went well with your style.....kinda of fluid and the editing went well with the music. Some of the drops were big indeed, i knew you said the drop in Oxford was big but...it really was ! One other thing i never realised is how good your style is on camera, smooth and controlled - i'm very impressed. Really enjoyed a few of the moves too Good luck with the new frame . You know you can always have my echo or zoo...... Neil XxX

Hey A few of us are going to London tomorrow (Sunday) and the weather looks a bit pants, so we wondered if there were any underground spots? - Apart from Southbank. We're currently in Soton .......... if there are any spots close to here that would also be cool Cheers Neil

Pompey/soton? Today? Anybody About?
Clownbike replied to Prawny Baby's topic in Member Organised Rides
Sorry, not there at the moment! Next time dude -
I feel guilty misleading you, its not your fault you are new to trials. These guys are Danny Holroyd and Adam Burns. Very respected riders from back in the day. I think the video is a fair bit older than 2 years too. There are a few videos of these guys - look under trialskings on youtube Good luck!

They are the Coust brothers

The article is very right wing and obviously has a hell of a lot of bias when reading the article to provoke a reaction. These sorts of papers are read by the easily lead and ilinformed who believe everything they read. In regards to the situation, there definately is a problem with the benefit system as so many people are caught in the unemployment trap. As in many counties e.g. Germany, if you are able and willing to work and there are jobs, they will find one and say, "do it or we will cut off your benefits". I would like to see more of this approach. The fact he is Muslim is just a very right wing approach by the paper. I didn't read the article in full, but i'm fairly sure he is a British Muslim now. I do not agree with what he is doing an i think he is taking the system for a ride and in this case should not be able to claim benefits. If he doesn't like the British way of living he should move back to Pakistan. It makes me angry when people try to impose something on other people. But on the other hand if he wants to like in the UK and just practise it himself, i don't have a problem with it. One major point is that everybody thinks that the people claiming benefits are Muslims who have loads of kids etc, but a very large proportion are white people. I'm not sure on the exact figures, but people have to take this into consideration when looking at articles like this. Otherwise it just stirrs racial hatred. To be honest i'm REALLY not a fan of Muslims, my parents are Indian and if you have half a brain you'd know almost all Indians are brought up to not like Muslims. My parents didn't install this into me, but from what i've met of them....i'm not their biggest fan. But when looking at articles like this you have to look at more than one view point. And this is one person, think of all the other Muslims that are working and contributing. I know that some ethnic minorities usually hold down very well paid jobs and pay for other people's benefits! In conclusion, i think the benefit system should be looked at again, but not much will change as lower class people will vote for parties which say "we'll give you lots of benefits". But people, don't vote for BNP as they really don't know what they are on about. Peace out! PS - SHOCKINGLY ugly kids.....i guess thats what happens when you marry your cousin....sick

TO BE HONEST GUYS ITS ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN. JUST GO AND HAVE FUN ON YOUR BIKES! IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A PIC TAKE ONE, BUT JUST ENJOY WHATEVER YOU DO. LIFE IS SHORT, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OR DO, JUST BE HAPPY KNOWING YOU ARE YOU. I really don't get the big deal.......so what if he tucks or he doesn't. Does it affect your pleasure of riding? NO! You go ride what you want with the style that you want and make yourself happy. Keep the thread as there are obviously people who like to see these tucks. Peace out boyz.

I have an 06 with ISIS bb if you want it. Sorry to poach :$.......06 long, fair amount of scratches, one large dent in the downtube where an idiot rode into a wall. Won't affect strength, i think most/all mounts are hellicoiled, never seen a massive amount of action. Comes with fsa platinum BB as i glued it in and i've not tried to get it out. The bb shell sticks out a lil 5mm on the non drive side, but i rode it like that for ages and it's all good. Offer me if you're interested. Neil P.S. If you are looking for any other bits just ask as i have a few bits knocking around Ohh....in reply to the thread, i quite likes the 07 it did feel flicky on the back wheel, but just too long, so most other moves didn't feel nice. Chainstays felt too long, so it gapped ok, but you lose a fair bit of control and i found it harder to tuck in the air.
-
Lol, i think you just stole the thread - i was impressed, for 9 months you look very stable and confident with flicking that bike around. To the lad who stated this post: You're not bad for 11 months, better than some people i know who have been riding for years, but it shouldn't matter. Just having fun is its own reward. Have fun with it and keep up the good work!
