  1. Has anyone tried either of these brakes yet? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=52030 - Clarks cmd-8 (I need post mount for the front) and http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30936 - Funn EZX (203 rotor for the rear)
  2. Hey I am gonna get some disk brakes and I am wondering how much I have to spend before I can get the 1 finger strength of hs33's.. My budget is about 100 quid but I would prefer to spend a lot less.. Can anyone recommend any? would have to be equal to or stronger than hs33's though..
  3. Ive moved and I need to cycle to where I can actually do some trials.. so what I am looking for is a 26 or 24 inch trials bike.. with a saddle (that can be moved to a decentish height) .. and a derailleur.. just so I can get there.. and also cycle a bit Problem is Ive been out of the loop for awhile and don't really know any... and I dont want to spend an absolute fortune, maybe a max of 500 quid, although the cheap the better.. thanks
  4. Yeah but it can be handy.. picked up some bargains off ebay.co.uk.. Like some "Margura hidrolic breaks"..
  5. Seaman - character from South Park as in Sea Man.. but everyone calls him semen and has a pet sidekick, a small bird called swallow..
  6. Okay, I'm sticking my neck out here... Wat is up wit yur edumacation sistem, just reeding through the forems here and the speling is rubish innit
  7. In southern Ireland theres about 15 to 25 trials riders max i think (out of a population of 4 million)
  8. ive seen alot of trials vids and some very good stuff, but i've seen just about every bmx vid out there.. we;re not even on the same planet as them
  9. Hi hope this isn't a repost.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx7cPiXFiLY
  10. Originality and Variety.. Clear, nonshaky cam, good angles, a trials move can look so much better if creatively filmed.. Good music not techno/metal crap Can't stand awesome extreme videos Not too much slow motion, not too much repitition Build the tricks up, best for last
  11. amazing especially up the tree stump can't stand that stupid little crossup/look at the cam that they do though, looks so corny
  12. needs a name and password..
  13. I think my rear brake mounts are bent outwards.. a little too much I just got a new set of HS33's today (because the previous b brake was very weak).. and no matter how much I adjust them I really can't get them squared off and cant get them any closer to the rim.. I looked and realised that the rear brake mounts seem to be angled outwards.. kinda bent I have an 03 (I think) white onza T-Mag.. in fact when I look at the back stays, one seems more stuck out than the other, doesn't seem to be much symmetry back there at all.. I am a trials rookie, very new.. Just measured it now, the rear brake bolts are 10.5 cm apart from each other (measured from centre of one bolt to centre of other).. because I was thinking of buying a booster.. The brakes still feel weak.. any thoughts.. is this common on t-mags?

I know what you are saying but personally I think its just BMX street done on a trials bike. I guess I just watch alot of BMX street and I didn't see anything original, apart from the fact that the guy was on a trials bike (and the odd pedal kicks) If I started riding my trials bike on ramps I dont think I could call it trials, if I stuck a pair of pegs on my trials bike and started doing some spinning and rolling tricks I dont think I could really call it trials either. To the public, they know no different, and it looks pretty and fast and interesting.. To any BMXer, its just us trials guys doing street, and unfortunately not to the same level as they can do it. Progression is good, but just progressing into something thats been done before, for years and years, isn't exactly something new. This is guys mostly 'doing BMX' on a trials bike .. I've seen guys similarily 'doing trials' on a BMX. Its always nice to expand the sport, to dabble, but every disipline earns its own name mainly through originality and to my mind BMX beat us to it on the street stakes, they've done it all before.. whereas on the pther hand we lay claim to the big gap/lurch/up static style riding, which they respect and know as trials... and so on and so forth..

Personally i dont like these vids.. Don;t get me wrong, some of the trials set pieces are very nice, but the bunnyhop barspinning is just hmm, I guess i just watch alot of bmx street and it isn't for me. I like my trials slow and squeaky.
