  1. not been on here in a while! currently trying to sell my immaculate Forester STI import http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4261157.htm check it out! Fantastic car to drive, plenty power and handles very well for such a big car
  2. Not your best vid Ben, bit too much on the back wheel, dare i say boring? Great riding of course, just not your best one
  3. Black Trialtech forged sport stem ordered today Cheers, loving it so far!
  4. Cheers! Rode this yesterday and feels super New stem might be on the cards though, i'm almost 6'3" so feels a touch cramped, haha
  5. The crank was catching the slave cylinder on the drive side after fitting new pads with my old frame, so it look some the paint off the brake The tyres I really like, ran loads of different tyres, maxxis/conti etc but these are very grippy!!! Stem, may have to change it yeah, liked the setup on the czar but this has more BB rise, guess i'll find out how it rides today, heaving of rain last night so couldn't try it Cheers for the comments
  6. Well snapped my 2nd CZAR 26" this week so got this, just waiting on an adjusting collar for my HD rear axle then can fit that on too! Competing at ft bill in 2 weeks, can't wait Cheers to Tarty for the quick dispatch of the frame + other parts recently Speedrace fans frame echo urbans Chris king headset Chris king cassette lockring Chris king classic hubs on try all rims Bontrager tyres Trialtech lite 16T sprocket Middleburn cranks with heatsink 18T setup KMC chain try all pedals echo TR snails bontrager race x-lite stem Rockman 7075 bars Magura with rockman blues and echo SL lever Hope mono trials disc
  7. I was horassed into commenting, couldn't deal with the wrath of Towler if i never...... Nice riding! Shame you can never pull those street moves when i'm about
  8. Engine: Petrol Size: 1.6 16v DOHC vtec Model: EK9 Civic type R Driving Conditions: Town + mostly country road Combined MPG: Somewhere between 20 and 26 MPG, always ran on Shell V-Power since i had it imported Comments: Keep revs below 3.5k until water temp is up, then below 5k until oil temp up then drive it according to conditions, see's alot of vtec and serviced regularly! Wouldn't have bought the car i did if i was concerned about fuel consumption. Best i've had out of a full tank (40 litres) was 270 miles
  9. if you guys are still about in town about 5.30 on the Sunday i'll meet up after work, finish at 5 and will go straight out after
  10. haha yeah pretty clean as the frame is only a few weeks old!
  11. well so far this year i've had a bit of fun with cracking parts...... cracked my old Toxsin frame so bought Ben's old Czar, cracked my front Hope mono trials caliper then got it warrantied, cracked my Czar frame but Tarty sorted me out with a good deal on a new frame (thanks again Adam!!!), destroyed my old Echo rear rim and when i stripped it down noticed i had cracked my King classic hub but luckily got this warrantied anyways just recently added a few new bits - Tryall rims, Plazmatic CRM pads (AMAZE), Deore QR skewers instead of rubbish kf ones, Bontrager race X lite stem, Rohloff Speedhub tensioner, brought the weight down to 23.5 pounds..... rides sooo good now, loving it
  12. just thought i would update this....... sent the brake to Hope last Tuesday and recieved the brake back yesterday with a new caliper and pads fitted as well as the brake all bled up etc, feels like new again, all done free of charge under warranty, WOOP!!!
  13. as mentioned you need the avid bleed kit, comes with 2 syringes which have threaded attatchments, 1 screws into the lever and the other on the caliper, very clean and easy, only takes about 10 mins to do no way to adjust lever pull on the 5's although bleeding the system (if you do it properly) usually helps, Avid say that a well bled brake should pull back so that the lever is parallel to the bar when on oh and to clear it up the avid bleed kit fits ALL avid hydro brakes
  14. you did indeed ben "hey shove whats that awful cracking noise" "meh kinda got used to it"
  15. Well my front Hope mono trials brake has been making some really horrible noises for a while, mainly creaking away etc but the other day i took the bike out to go to work and it was howling like there was oil on the pads....... if you look closely there is a crack in the caliper body just back from where the disc rotor runs through it and when you pull the brake the caliper flexes, the caliper opens out and fluid pours out the crack just wondering if this happened to anyone else? i've always noticed that since the pistons are big that when you pull the brake hard the caliper flexes open and now it's just finally given up!! going to phone Hope later and see what they say about it
  16. bunny hops aint that bad to be honest! can manual it really well suprisingly cheers man! was just away out for a blast after work
  17. nah the mech does a good enough job of it! hopefully get some footage together soon with it for a wee vid
  18. shovel

    Towler - Monty

Towler, you are my hero hugs and kisses
  19. well i can tap/sidehop/gap better than my toxsin with the way it is so that will do for me
  20. no it wouldn't, rides great with the low front end, had a shot on bens czar and the front end is about 2" higher and it just didn't feel as good also i would need a high rise stem, not spacers as the steerer tube has been cut to suit the spacer etc at the moment....
  21. haha that was done before i even handed over the cash to Ben, had to make sure they would come off
  22. oh and my rear brake is actually set up good, just the pic of the tyre happens to be where the flat spot is
  23. few little updates.... rear tyre was knackered! the wire in the sidewall decided to come away on the inside giving me punctures and making the bike feel odd on the back wheel no high rollers in stock at work so went for a front Minion and was out last night for a bit and feels super grippy!! was also able to get another link out of the chain so took off my lizzard skin as there's no chain slap anymore oh and since i'm such a tart i took some more pics after cleaning it today
  24. grind the heads off and grab what's left with mole grips!
  25. hence why all hope brakes now come with torx bolts instead of those silly 4mm ones best way to get rounded rotor bolts ou - cut a line in the top of the bolt with a hacksaw, impact driver with flathead screw bit, never failed with that
