    Ouch!

Only posting as its annoying watching him blame his pads on what happened. If you look at the pad wear you'd see the pad was not set straight to the rim and so repeated force on the backing at an angle would fatigue the backing until inevitably that happened. Just down to poor setup, admittedly I’ve done the same myself.
  2. Don't get sucked into the sh1t machine that is halfords.

    Beau GU Clips!

Sick mate, your wheel still working after my true with pliers?
  6. Used to get through a spring a week, horrible hub. Back to riding a hope xc now which is far more reliable
  7. Noice! should be a bit nippy with those mods!
  8. http://www.rushextremesports.co.uk/product...d=m2b74s30p1974 bit steep, but fox really have set the benchmark for forks across almost all types of bikes.
  9. It may well have been, i've only been working there for 8/9 months or so. Apologies for questioning a veteran.
  10. Ha ha, a Halfords argument, the Tektro IO isnt on the x rated bikes, the x rated uses a far smaller, less adjustable caliper. Also the Tektro IO's are shite, always telling the customer the'll bed in nicely, but they never do, ha ha!
  11. Hopefully this is a joke. The front brake on those bikes is terrible. Tell him to stop lying to you and go buy a front brake worth more than 50p. For the record the rotor is 160mm.
  12. Check with your insurance first dan, but for that price i rekon go for it, worst case you can sell it back on ebay if it goes to shit? I think you should get your car rr'd before and after though just to see how much it actually does....
  13. TRA needs to be at the bike show. He is at present one of the best all round riders in the world. kind of makes sense no?
  14. How about this? Seems to tick most boxes at the price i'm looking at. http://www.extreme-direct.co.uk/bmx/bmx-bi...stern/36572.php
  15. I actually saw that bike in the flesh today at a lbs, it looks amazing quality for the money. Is it just the brand that is more beginner oriented? or do they have a reputation for being poor bikes? This will after all be my very first BMX so im not looking to have the best bike possible. Just something that I can learn to ride and progress on. It’s just hard to find a bike with a 21" top tube as a complete for sub £400 with a decent spec. My choices are kind of narrowed down by what I need in the bike. If you can recommend anything else to me, please do, need as much input as possible so I spend my money on something good for me (and that I wont get laughed at on ) Thanks Yea, I’m just finding it hard to stay within budget, yet get an all round decent spec, I probably will end up buying online, because as you say, they are BMX specialists so I’ll get better info from them, and better aftermarket care too. Im fully prepared to upgrade in the near future because almost any complete bike comes with something that could be a load better. In this case, as you say, the freewheel is a bit crap. But the bike as a whole does seem nice and well made. But with next to no BMX knowledge, it could be completely crap. Really need some bike suggestions from someone so I can get a list of possible bikes The help so far has been great though.
  16. Bmx'rs are mental, bmx is mental. I cant wait to bmx. Any more vids?
  17. You sound like a hard as f**k rude boy gangster looking for respect.... Nah, just messing (probably with the wrong guy ) Seems like that guy needs a propper kicking. I rekon get a camcorder, spend a week making a decent training montage (weights, monkey bars, steep hills, whatever) then when your ready, hit him. hard. Thats what i'd do, ha ha, as if. Ian
  18. I was recommended this by a friend, for the money it looks great, and has a chrome rear rim which from what I understand gives better braking. I have also been told by a friend that I should get s&m 'slam' bars on more or less any complete i go for as they are very wide for bmx bars and so would feel better for a larger rider. Let me know what you think, and link me to another few possible bikes too if you know of anything better. Thanks for the info poopipe, very useful
  19. Looking to buy/order a BMX on Friday. Not going to lie. I don’t have the first clue when it comes to BMX’s. Wanting to spend in the region of £350 for the complete bike. Could possibly push further if anybody feels i can get a far better bike for a small amount over my budget. Problem is I am over 6"3" and so would need a long frame I guess? I want to do all aspects of BMX and have never ridden BMX before, so something easy to learn on would be preferable. Please help!!
