Yep, defiantly need new chainring and possibly sprocket. I had the exact same problem as you about a week ago, got new chainring, and now its smooth. Try not to run it for too long on your worn chainring to prevent your new chain wearing in all crap. Ian

David blaine is well badass,although he probably just gets a poorly paid mexican stunt double to do all the boring stuff for him, like wait in a box or stand on a pillar. By the time he's finished messing around in that water sphere thing, he will look like that govener/mayor bloke off x men when he comes out of the sea. You cant have the best of both worlds when it comes to a bike built so specifically for its purpose. I suggest buying a full build such as the onza T-rex, thats a £500 bike with gears, completely trials specific. I suppose you could ride to school on it, but it would not be the most comfortable experience each morning. Ian

Well my chainring was bad enough that i had to file off ridged edges from almost all the teeth. So i'm guessing new drivetrain would do the trick. But then again, my rear sprocket is near on perfect, so hopefully that can stay on. Ian

I've just replaced my old KMC chain with a new KMC Kool bmx, and am now getting chain suck really badly. From what a few people have said, i'm getting that its the old chainring causing this as it was previously bed into my old chain. So is it just a simple case of replacing the chainring to get rid of this chain suck? Any help muchos appreciated Ian

There might be a chainring in stock at halfords Swindon according to porter, so if there is then i'll be over there tomorrow night to get it. But until then i'll try everywhere local in the daytime. Ian
