  1. Ohhh, i'm feeling good now loads of people have suggested that setup. I have a pro 2 on a Dx32 and it is awesome! feels really solid, and the rim is very resilient to dents and flatspots Ian

  4. Looks fairly decent for an entry level bike, i'm sure people comments would be far better if you used a better picture of it though Ian
  5. NMC needs a bike pics sticky to put an end to these retarded topics. Ian

  13. Any pads work with tar, so you cannot judge the pads peformance, its like strapping a rocket to a Robin Reliant, then saying Robin Reliants are fast. Don't know about the echo pads, there are too many good pads out at the moment to make me want to try anything new. Ian
  14. Nice video, looked like some big lines in there Ian
  15. If your grips are open ended, use a regular handpump, cover the other end of your bars tightly with your hand/get somebody else to. Then pump while gently pushing the grip onto the bars. If you do it correctly its no effort at all. Ian
  16. ARG!! My eyes are bleeding! a senior member using text talk Anyway, i'm not a huge fan of the Ashtons, but i've got to admit, that one looks very swish. Also nice drilling on the front rim Ian
  17. I actually did that (way sketchier though). I was desperate to ride, but i didn't have any 4 bolt clamps, so i just ran regular clamps on 4 bolt mounts :$ . My rim was too wide though so i put the mounts backwards and it allowed me to have the cylinders further from the rim. But looking at the pics, i think your way is better Ian
  18. You need to answer 18 hidden riddles before you can become a member. But occasionally if you have proof you have passed gcse english and PE, then you instantly become a member. Ian
  19. Bikes always start out like that, but with each part you replace (unless you replace it with the same crap), it gets stronger, so eventually your bike will be far better, and less prone to breaking. Ian
  20. Before you go any further, its 'live' , not life. Ian
  21. Most of the fresh products hype was the fact that your hanger all of a sudden became indestructible. At present there is no sprung tensioner which can offer protection for your hanger, so although most people prefer the design and practicality of a sprung tensioner/mech, they are just not as suited to trials as something which is pretty indestructible. Then of course with the non sprung tensioners, there is always the problem of keeping tension, and in some cases (me: ) getting tension in the first place. I had a fresh tensioner, and no matter what gear ratio I tryed, it just would not tension my chain. So I'm back to a good old mech now, but have also aquired a near broken hanger So i would say non sprung are better for trials, but are less versatile. Then sprung tensioners are technically better, but not really suited to the abuse they get put through. Ian
