  1. I don't see how your gu is 'dying', you have pointed out no actual problems with the frame, and yet you want to replace it? maybe if you said you did not like how it rode then people would be more willing to help rather that ask questions as to what is wrong with the gu. I seriously doubt there is stress marks on the welds, and frame flex is very common and usually intended in a frame to prevent it from breaking after five minutes. But if you really don't like it then all i can think of is a koxx levelboss, or a zona zip. Edit: tyre rub on the frame?????? Thats YOUR setup there so you can't go blaming a perfectly good frame for that, and whats even more ridiculous is that your asking people for other frame reccomendations from the gu stating that the gu dents badly, LMAO!!! so your left with onza or koxx? have fun with the downtubes on them. When i say have fun, that involves not touching them or going out in strong winds. Get a python or some other deng frame, there better than most other frames out there and well priced, can't go wrong. Ian
  2. Spot on, and i don't see why that reply would be out of place in members chat? Try heating up the ends of the hose before attempting to put it onto the barb, It sometimes works, but often is a right b***rd to get on! If not i'm sure somebody has a standard set of cylinders and hosing you could use rather that messing around with split hosing. Ian
  3. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! i hope i dont get into a fight with one of those. If they could only make a megazord style one which combines lot's of those crazy robots. INSANE! Ian
  4. Low tyre pressure would be nike air shox then i take it? And road pressure would be clogs? Bit too much effort for my liking
  5. Nice video steve, really enjoyed the feel to that vid, defiantly better than i expeceted it to be due to the dark and wet weather. Can't wait to see what you can put together this summer! should be awesome. Ian
  6. Wooooooooo, folded like a folder that one, mines only come off the rim once and didn't go back on without letting the tyre down
  7. The video was ok, some big taps etc. But using footage from things you diddnt make??? maybe as a last clip or something, but not mid-video. A lot of boring crate riding, could have comfortably lost half that footage, but overall, it was fairly good riding. As for sponsorship by merseytrial/toxin, not trying to put you down, but dont you ever look at far better un-sponsored riders and wonder??? Keep up the good riding. Ian
  8. Video was fairly poor to say the least, the riding was really good, but most clips in there were useless and have no place in any trials video, like in a previous thread you saying you can gap 8ft 4 was it? But as you proved on your vid theres a difference between trying the gap and making the gap. Also you not making a tap then making it after, much better to just put the made one in there. Further into the video the riding was really impressive. The gap to front to back on the bike rails was awesome, and those taps to front to back. Some of it was quite repetitive and the video itself could have done with being filtered through leaving only the best clips in. Also the ending just looks like your computer crashed while making the vid, at least do something with it rather than cutting the vid half way through a move. Yous seem to be releasing more videos than anybody else on the forum, which is cool, but on most occasions makes me think how much of an awesome video you could make from using footage from across all those vids you made to produce something really amazing. I'd say just take more time over your videos and only use footage which is worthy of being in your videos. Defiantly only use things which you have made (obviously unless its a funny bail, or crash) Nobody wants to see somebody not make a gap or a sidehop. Never the less, keep up the awesome riding, hopefully your next vid (not released too soon i hope ) will be the best one yet. Ian
  9. LMAO at the gap to slanted ledge! "yes, i think now i've made the gap i will test the sidewalls of my tyres on this 45 degree slope 5 foot in the air" And the bunny to back wheel attempt off the ramp!!!!!!!! took about 5 minutes to land! I'm quite scared to go riding now. Ian
  10. Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats insane! Wish that could happen to me, my bails suck.
  11. Ha ha, trials/casual clothing company number 3213421421421, i find it funny that theres so many companies, yet so few riders? Admittedly some of the companies are pretty good, but then some just aren't. Hope it all goes well Ian

    Ben Cox Vid

Wicked video there, the gap over the path from wall to wall looked pretty big! Hopefully in your next video you could learn gaps to front wheel, that mini golf slope has to be done to an endo down!!! Keep up the good riding Ian
  13. Because it defeats the object of grinding your rim rather than using tar. black pads on grinds do NOT work. Fact. Have a look for some decent pads (no shortage of topics to find out which ones are good), then grind your rim accordingly, i.e soft pads: light/medium grind, hard pads: harsher grind. Be sure to grind each side in opposite directions to one another though to get better braking both forwards and backwards.
  14. Dang, gets better by the minute, i happen to have both those ingredients, when my axle arrives on wednesday, i'll try that out, unless something even better comes along. Like water, i can afford that.
  15. Ha ha ha, you've got them dialled, onzaboymark signature move??? I think so. i'll be expecting some of those landed in your feature length vid, find a massive drop gap, lean ridiculously far forward, kick into your bars, realise if you don't do something you will die, extend legs, pull frame to bollocks, put feet back on pedals, lean back, land smooth, You should call it the : ridiculouslyfarforwardkickintoyourbarsrealiseifyoudon'tdosomethingyouwilldieextendlegspullframetobollocksputfeetbackonpedals It will be next months sidehop Ian
  16. Awesome, i think my budget could stretch to some 3 in 1 oil.
  17. I prefer the 04's. but in general i hate all magura lever bodies, snapped 5 in a years riding, thats a bit excessive me thinks, and all just from pulling the lever. Did i do something wrong?
  18. Use caustic soda and get your whole rim silver, then if need be send it off for anodizing.
  19. Just over 7 static, 11.10 bunny, and 8 something pedal, not measured pedal yet. But thats just from edge to edge, it would be more impressive to see people be able to reach their best gaps on natural, or rail to rail, thats where the real skill is. Ian
  20. I only have wd40 in my garage because i'm a tramp, would i be able to run it dry or would that just rape the internals?
  21. On the topic of freewheels, My hope mono axle has snapped and so naturally i took my hub apart to have a look, i saw the ratchet and it is absolutely covered in crap, along with the pawls also, if i completely cleaned it in theory it should engage better as it can go further into the ratchet? i saw marks post on the eno and it looked like a damn good idea. Any info appreciated. Ian.
  22. Ha ha, thats awesome! catching a chav must be reward enough though?? I can't think of the funniest thing that has happened to me, just a fook of a lot of funny bails. Ian
  23. That looks well swarve, PIMP!!!
