  1. Nice pictures, i especially like the 'comically high' sidehop to backwheel in the first sequence. Some of those more arty pics were pretty nice aswell, the lighting in the one taken under the bridge with you bike in shot looks very well composed (better if your bag wasn't on the floor). Haven't really read the thread through so well so not sure whether this has been asked. but what camera did you use for those shots? Thanks Ian
  2. No point in anybody else answering really, avid bb7. Its been said in enough threads to make a sweater.
  3. I don't go to a gym, but is there anything i can do at home/in the garden/in a field/city centre to build up strength in the damaged muscle to prevent this happening again? I'm really, really addicted to riding so the 4 days i've been out of it have been absolutely s**t. I just want to get better quickly, and not have to think about the possibility of landing and hurting my back again. Thanks Ian
  4. About 3 days ago i pulled a muscle in my upper back from riding. Just wondering if anybody else has done this and how long did it take to get back to full riding ability again? I've been doing stretches which seems to be helping, and other than that, just resting. Its got a lot better since the day i first did it (sunday) and i have seen a doctor about it and he said it is just a pulled muscle, but being a doctor he had no idea how much i want to get back to riding and so didn't really give me any set time frame as to when i could be back on my bike. Infact all he did was give me some really strong localized painkillers which make me go to sleep, i've only taken 1 and don't want to take any more. I'm not even too fussed about it hurting a bit, I'm just going fcuk'ing crazy sat at home, i need to fkin ride so badly!!!! ROAR!!!!!! ROAR, ROAR, ROAR!!! Any suggestions of how i could super speed up the healing so i can ride the comp on sunday? Thanks y'all, Ian
  5. Thats a rear rim mate Kind of ridiculously obvious it's a rear rim aswell so i don't know where all the front/rear rim confusion came from I dont really rate the 06 echo rims, the holes seem way too big and they have a very large flat profile making them easy to flatspot. Back to the drawing board deng Ian
  6. If the argument is about which way round, or forces on the disc, then although it would be heavy, why not make an actual full disc, a completely solid circular sheet of metal. That way there would be no weak points, and no possible breakages. BOOO YIP!!!! Ps: Im not sober by a long shot
  7. Scratch the azonic stem and go for an echo, forget the buy all bars and get some zoo's. Forks wise you want some urbans, zoo's, or controls. Other than that, sounds sweet mate!
  8. BB7 any day. I cant think of a time when you would need more power than the give? And the modulation is fine on them too once you learn to use it. Ian
  9. That video was awesome! Nice big moves in there and some pretty large static gaps! Keep up the good riding. Ian
  10. I just quit my job at woolworths because it was sh**e. So i'm just livin' it up riding everyday and going to college three days a week! Its awesome!
  11. 10ft pretty much dead on. and for you people saying drops just break you bike, blah, blah, blah. If you drop smooth then you and you bike are fine. After 10ft my rim was completely fine along with myself and the rest of my bike. I plan to do more at some point but i'm scared of turbulence etc on the way down. Plus its difficult to see the floor from so high up, and not forgetting how out of breath you will be from the altitude. Those are valid reasons for not dropping off things. Anything else and your either a liar, or a hippo. Ian
  12. Unfortunately your pretty much all wrong. SOUTH PARK IS FUNNIER THAN ANYTHING EVER. END OF. mods/admin can close topic now please.
  13. Thats what he did to himself, not to his bike..... Anyway, worst thing i've done is realized my gt forks were cracked in about 6 places just after i'd ridden all the way to the top of the Malvern hills to ride some natural. That was possibly the scariest ride down a hill i've ever had in my life. "please don't snap, please don't snap, please don't...."
  14. Before i started driving i frequently rode about 6 and a half miles between Droitwich and Bromsgrove to ride. Its not that bad once you get going.
  15. I'm down like a clown Charlie Brown!! I'll put my comp socks on and hopefully do a bit better than in my first comp See y'all there!
  16. I have always gone up to frontwheel then placed backwheel up afterwards. I really want to learn to go to wheels aswell, i can do around 30 inches to wheels so far, so not much lower than using my regular technique. I found just really committing to it helps, Going to wheels is sort of an all or nothing type thing. Have fun learning! Ian
  17. All i do is ride and i have a pull up bar on my door frame which makes my arms hurt. Do you lot not find the gym really boring? Or is working towards being like the hulk or whatever make it worthwhile? Ian
  18. I've not contributed to the angry thread yet, I don't think i've been angry since starting trials. I think i might contribute right now as i have a very slight pain in my little toe.
  19. Looks pretty dam cool, I like the half cartoon, half photo pic. The punto also looks very swish
  20. Yea, joe i would say the warranty has been voided by welding it, Onza can easily say that the weld has weakened it, and to be honest, thats not the neatest weld job i've ever seen
  21. Do you even ride trials corish? i remember your quitting video? The one with intensely gay music.
  22. I saw the story on bbc news and it really made me feel so unsafe about even going on the roads on a bike, I mean cycling on a road in a national speed limit, just having cars pass you less than 2 metres away is un-nerving, and it really shows how dangerous being on the road with other cars can be. I feel terrible for the riders and their family, and equally bad for the driver. Ian
  23. That was the fastest made, yet best video i've ever seen posted on trials forum. Riding was good, but not amazing, Editing was good, but not amazing, spot was good, but not amazing. But everything went together so perfectly it was just like TRIALS. Really loved that vid. Ian
  24. Dam straight, the mighty boosh is painfully funny, i literally cant watch a full episode without having to pause it to catch my breath. PURE GENIUS!
