  1. Very nice pics, looks all nice and controlled too >_<
  2. If your worrying about snappage, then why not have a look at the 04 echo control?, i'v not heard of any breaking and they ride super nice! plus you can get them for ridiculously cheap from certain online shops >_<
  3. Correct me if im wrong, but titanim can be bent back far more times than alu so if you bend a component on the bike it could be bent back and still maintain its strength?
  4. Yea, pretty much every ffw iv tried has been acs or eno, and i dont know what was going on with the eno but there was a lot of 'click banging' going down, and agreed, acs sorta let down the whole ffw team >_<
  5. i would never change to ffw "click, BANG, click, BANG!!!" id go busking instead >_<
  6. Sorry dont quite follow (Y) >_< So the brake slips when the front wheel has weight on it when not quite fully on the edge of a ledge etc.?
  7. The avid juicy range look like very good discs and are at around mid-range price, not really heard much about them though, and havnt seen many people using them. The hope mono trial sounds like the best brake from what i'v heard, but i am just concerned about leaking. >_<
  8. Thats definatly a good point, but i dont want it to break and have a need for spares, i just want something that will be very reliable. Although the avid can snap, it does seem far more simple with just a cable rather that lots of hydraulic fluid and seals all over the place. >_<
  9. I might just go all out an buy the mono trials. Whatever i get, its going to be free (tony blair is buying it for me) so if the mono trials is indeed the best brake then i think ill go for that. Ordering it on friday so if anybody has some other mono trial beating suggestions then nows the time!! >_<
  10. If your mech is locked out then just pull it down further from he frame and tighten the hanger bolt up good and propper, should hold it in place. >_<
  11. The magura louise is a bit on the steep side, has anybody else had an avid snap on them or was this just a one off?
  12. Right, time has come to upgrade from possibly the worst v-brake ever. I'm after a front disc brake with good modulation but also allot of hold when needed. I have tried the avid bb7 on a few of my friends bikes and it seems quite nice, but recently i have seen one snap on the caliper body which put me off a little. Another of my friends has a hope mono trials which feels very nice and smooth, but this has had leaking problems after extended use (probably just been set up wrongly?) I just need a brake that i can pretty much fit and forget. Any suggestions and reviews would be appreciated :$
  13. sounds like a plan, if i can raise people and money then i'll be there, dont count me in yet though :$
  14. Seems as though these bars are buy 1 get 1 free after 2 weeks riding them :ermm: mine also snapped (pryamids) and it diddnt take alot of doing, great feeling bars while they last though. :$

Will you be riding when your 70? :$
  16. Lol, joe, it might as well have been a walrus riding your bike on that drop when you bent your bars, 5ft to front wheel! T-pros will last if you look after them and are very easy to upgrade if anything were to go wrong, Good choice of bike (Y)
  17. I'v never ridden it any other shoes but nike dunks, they feel really nice on the pedals and have plenty of grip with the flexible soles, only downside is the soles do wear quite fast on pinned pedals. Plus they look wicked (Y)
  18. Its A-OK, i'v found out it was some short chubby kid at college who set up a fake account in an attempt to 'blaze' me, I shall hurt him tomorrow until he cries from it :( (Y)
  19. Fit your hub the wrong way and go really fast backwards........thats street (Y) nah, just like ali said, using basic street style moves and applying them to whatever is ridable. :(
  20. The same 'chinese muppet' who designed some of the best frames and componentry in trials? :turned:

    Rotor

There are plenty of spacers on the avid BB7's. The same ones that are on most vee brake pads. Remove those, or replace them for slightly smaller ones, so reduce it by 2.5mm, and it'll be fine on a 180mm disk. Just remember those spacers are there to ensure you get a decent alignment between the pads and the rotor. Ensure you can still set it up straight! Otherwise, it'll be fine. :P Fatmike on ians account. B)
  22. Go for the t-rex, Its a strong, versatile frame which doesnt look bad either (N)
  23. Start smoking, maybe it will take your mind off posting?
  24. Why not swap the base with me?, i will craft a frame from high grade pipe-cleaners for you (proven to be 27.5x stronger than the woodman) Mine snapped within 2 months while i was learning to ride. both seatstays and one chainstay (other was just starting to crack). stay away from it, i mean it, just wind drag from walking past it will snap it clean in half. But i guess its up to you (N) But i wil say this, DONT GET IT! (Y)
