Apparently the photographer was slightly too close and the stingray felt threatened and the barb of the stingray (Probably as dangerous as a snake/scorpion etc) punctured a hole in his heart. He then pulled it out which inevitably killed him because of the shape of the barb, it was on CNN about the shape of the barb meaning that it rips the flesh etc. when pulled out.

Yeah, I would reccomend that you start with an Onza, although hydraulic Maguras aren't essential; V-brakes can be just as good if set up properly and they aren't as expensive.
