hi guys well ive been using a deore v brake for about 3 weeks now and i truly hate it , some people have told me that the deore calipers were ment for no linier brakes thats why it is creating so mutch flex . Is this true or are the generaly shit brakes ? also if this is the case will using a avid series brake sort the problem , btw before anyone says its my cable or setting up its realy not . any help would be great

not a chance mate , ive seen your riding and unsealed bearings and 10mm axels wouldnt stand a chance . apart from that you would be allright i think , not much chance of you snaping steel forks but the bb is allways a possibility .

JT! go to halfords for £4.95 you can get one frog light , the frog lights are like the ones on chain reactions but are completly covered a in a bouncy rubber compound so if you fall they are not damaged . i have been using them for aobut 2 months and i love them they must weight about 10 grams in all honesty there brilliant .

the only brake i would trust as a competion rider is a onza ronnie grinded with koxx greens , this is an awsome combination in all weathers only downside is after about 3 grinds the rim starts to deteriate and crack . I have had a rear v brake before that kept working even when it was nailing it down the setup was , avid single digit arms , heatsink red pads and these were run on a echo 07 rim . hope ive helped in anyway .

i like this project , and i wish you all the best of luck . I think overall the bike will ride realy nicely but dont expect it to take to much abuse .

my unlce owns his own fencing/ landscape gardening compnay and i tell you what you make loads of money , for example the fences people buy nowdays are construted from concrete posts's , gravel boards , and a section of wood . the total price for my uncle to make 1 bay of a fence is about 17 quid but he sells the fences for nearly 3 times that , there is an awful lot of money in it try looking out for a local job helping out for cash in hand then think aobut starting your own buisnes .

The quality of riding was good and so editing was average but i could tell from that video that that bike didnt suite you , the way you were riding it made it look like the bike was way to small for you .

i personaly find giro helmets to be realy uncomfortable , in all the ones ive tried they have allways had very little padding . I use a specialized carbon helmet butt his is way out of your budget allthough met do realy good starter helmets and they can be bought from your local halfords .

if the bend in your cable is to sharp it may not pull enough cable through they system to lock the break try running it without the hollow steerer .

:(:( Cracked My Frame, Don't No What To Do :(
liam-pantera replied to smoke257's topic in Trials Chat
you could allwasy drill the crack to stop it from spreading any further , but you need a new frame top and bottom of it . -
they were suposed to be better but ive found there still nowere near as good as plazmatic and deffinetly not coust
-
thats what i found thats all i told him , ive been riding for about 5 years now and ive tried nearly every pad and ive tried every echo pad and i wasnt impressed by any of them except the zoo .
-
thanks dave , you have given me alot to think about , my main reason for having a new frame is outgrowing my short ko ( and they ride mank ) so i was thinking about getting the 1030 team , but know you have raised some points which may lead to me getting a lite as you said its the perfect medium as its not too long and its not short . thanks for the replys so far .

hi guys well tomorow im ordering my new frame and ive narrowed it down to 2 choices , the echo lite or the echo team . Know im not a noob but ive never had experiance with echo mods , i know that the echo lite is very light but lacks cnc compontenry and also lacks a brake booster . So basicly i was wondering should i go for the slightly longer team which ways more or should i go for the light weight version . also how do they ride ? i have herd good comments about the echo lite but not so much about the team , well i apretiate any help and tarty you will be getting a phone call tomoz ;-)

yes man excelent pads in all conditions on a dead grind aswell , failing that rock green pads are also very sutible for smooth rims , hope ive helped you .
-
the pink gu pads were introduced last year they were a slightly harder compund to zoo pads and gave very poor proformance in all conditions , on grind they were down exsesivly and roll through because the compound just grinds down when any preasure is aplied . As for a smooth rim the red pads wernt as bad if you used alot of tar . If i was you i would avoid these and the new echo pads becasue they are all terrible , buy yourself some zoo pads and you will be laughing mate

oh my some people on this forum need to research classic bikes , the original trex came in 2 colours gold/blue if your t-rex is one of these the onza bashguard should fit it . If in doubt ask adam tarty as he has been riding for 15 years and is one of only a few that rember monty milk pads
