  1. Hi everyone i was just thinking to myself and i thought were is trials going at the minute. To my knowledge there are allot of trials riders who ride only street or only natti because of certain areas of were people live but in later years were will trials dominate. Also it seems that everyone on this earth either has a gu a zoo or a echo, were have all the really old school stocks gone, it seems that if its not made by deng none wants one.Double disk a step forward for trials or a step backwards, its true that in comps the double disk system will dominate over rimbrakes but disk are not for the streets.I think at the minute the future is bleek and we shouldnt forget all the amazing times when we all used to watch old cls vids on a monty and go wow he can sidehop 7 palets .Well thats my opinion what do u think?
  2. Hi everyone i was just wondering are trials specific clothes necessary.i realize in some competions shoes with ankle protection are mandatory but all off the monty skin tight trousers and jerseys aren't.So do you prefer to wear monty/koxx clothes or just stick to jeans/jogers and a shirt.
  3. I would also like to add that when me and tom striped that eno down some of the pawls were slightly damaged and were not as flicky, after rebuilding the freewheel never seemed to be the same and kept skipping. Loud is good when it comes as standard but if you have to modify to get it then its not worth it.Also if you really want to turn heads buy a tensile freewheel toms hasn't skipped yet and its the loudest thing ever, if i didn't own two profiles id be running on at the minute.
  4. Hi everyone id just like to add that i have also got a 26" and on it i have black pads on a semi grinded rim with evo mounts and a hs33 booster and it works amazing and feels so solid and this is without tar.I think that people undermine blackpads just because they come free with most maggies but for ungrinded rims u cant go rong with blacks and tar.
  5. Hi everyone last summer i discovered the most amazing brake ever, so heres my review . Pads: zoo pads Time used: Nearly 3 months Rim used: onza hog Mod/Stock: mod Grind: Yes Brake used: Magura, normal lever, normal hose. Review: to start off i was in a predicament because i needed a new grind to run my plazmatic pads but my rim had taken 6 grinds already so instead i sanded my rim down so you could only "see" the grind and only just feel it. I set my brake up exactly how it specifies in the magura handbook with correct piston spacing and correct torque applyed to the bolts. At first i doubted the braking power of the pads but they sounded good considering they hadn't been bedded in yet ,after 3 hours of hard riding the pads were working perfectly with a really loud and consistent squeak.Because of the tacky compound and the slight grind the bite was incredible i just couldn't roll it through, I tried everything to roll it ; gaps that i couldn't make, leaning back on drops and balancing on sharp legdes but it just wouldn't budge.I was quite impressed that after i went down a hill i didn't find green dust covering my rim and i had lost no life at all and had lost no braking power, but the real thing that matters is performance in all weathers. On hot days the pads perform to there absolute best and don't roll through wich should be expected , but the real shocker was that when the rim got wet the brake still worked amazing and i couldn't roll it through even on steep wet rocks ,when the rim got wet the squeak did disappear but after a little riding round it came streight back. That was last summer and this summer i will be ruining exactly the same. This pad convornation was also used by neil tunnicliffe . enjoy .....
  6. Well actuly everywere is getting the same as london, my town used to be quite and peicefull and now u hear of murder stabbings intimidation and asult its not right. Because of our views on life ,music taste and dress sence we all get started on and get jumped .This seems to leave a realy bad impretion on older people of our comunity even thow all of the riders were i live are quite well behaved , i allways move for elderly people and mothers because it is how i would like to be treated when im older and if we can set a good example then myabe the future wont be as "chav" infestered.
  7. Hi everyone id jus like to say again its not just chavs , labeling somone a chav doesnt mean they cause trouble to all and push old ladys down stairs i no a few that do but most of them are good people.
  8. hi mate i had the same problem but i easily sorted it but getting two large nuts and using them instead jus have a look around your garage or somat, hope ive helped.
  9. Hi m8 welcome to the forum i go down cornwall on holidays add me on my msn and maybe we could meet up sometime , good luck .
  10. hi rob i wasnt meaning to course any offence i know some decent people like that but then there are the select few who have to be differnt and push everything to far wich is apualing and make the youth of today seem like vandals and theives.
  11. Hi everyone ,round my end recently (heanor) it has started to become abit ruff and it has ocourd to me that certain parts of heanor are off limits because of certain individuals.Recently there has been abit of trouble between trials riders and chavs (no offence), recent incidents have involded fights and threats with foster getting constantly caned.Has anyone else experienced these sorts of problems.
  12. Hi it rides realy nice the rear end is very short, and i didnt waste any money on components as i allready had those ones spare so i put them to good use. It may not be trials specific but it does the trick, anyway tomorow im getting a dropout for base ta26 so i will post that soon.
  13. fixed it now sorry for the massive picture.
  14. hi everyone i have been thinking about something for a while and ive finaly tried it out,can u take a halfords bike and mike it trials worthy.Last year my cousin brought a apollo x rated from halfords it was a poor spec and couldnt take much abuse but it lasted.Eventualy every other component died except the headset and the frame. So last week i took this frame and alot of other parts and began to work,at first i cut the seatpost off and fitted all trials components and gave it a spray and now i think it looks the part. But to answer the big question is it trials worthy? well yes i took it out today and i was backwheeling as high as i can do on my mod wich is about 40 inch,i struggled abit with gaps but i was only a foot shorter than i can usaly do. I will try and get a vid out soon but its gonna take a while as i still love my zoo to bits, and finaly heres the finished product enjoy.
  15. hi everyone i felt like bring bac the old subject of wich coust pads do u prefer?.for those that may not no coustpads came in to sizes the old 35 mil pads and the new heatsnik 50 mils.Ive tried out both kinds and i have differnt opinions about both sets my first impresion about the 35 mil pads are thaat they sound imense but a big downside is that the backings were not very reliable,if the plastic rings didnt fall out then the backings would snap for some reason. The 35 mil pads gripped quite well i could never roll mine on a harsh grind and life wise they lasted ages.I found with the 50 mil pads they didnt quite sound the same as the 35 mils, and also they seemed to ware down alot more but sayn that they held about the best ive ever had a brake. Now heatsink deal in the coustpads they are available in 2 options i found that the metal backings made alot of difference as they rocked alot less than the power pad backings. So after all that and 3 sets later i prefer the smaller coustpads.wich ones do you prefer and has anyone seen anythin of the red coust or no were to get the (better) and smaller coust. peice..... liam eyre
  16. Toms right i was with him today and fitted it for him and we found straight away that the tensile freewheel was a good investment, after taking it out of the box and turning by hand we realised that the freewheel was a litle bit stiff to turn but sounded amazing in your hand.after fitting to toms bike we took it easy jus by riding about a little bit for the first 5 mins or so, the freewheel became easier to turn now and freecoasted the bike alot easier.after we had warmed up abit i started getting on backwheel with it it has a amazing feeling wich makes the cranks very reactive, its like a acs but with the engagements of a eno.10 mins later and still no skips i decided to start pushing it abit more with strong kicks and over a bike and a half flat to flat gaps, the freewheel jus wouldnt skip and this was 15 mins after fitting.I pritty much rode it all night and it never skipped ounce and the sound was perfect. After many years of failed atempts tensile have created a perfect freewheel sure it may not be sealed but when it rides smooth and doesnt skip who realy care. Also i would like to add that at first i was abit scepticle about the bb removing system on the freewheel but after trying it out it works rather well and will save time/and money as most people have a bb tool. will report back later on in the week to tell you how his freewheel is going . peice....... liam eyre
  17. 19. Hi i had a 2005 tryall in silver and it is destroyed it had about 2 grinds and i managed to snap all of the sidewall of dent it 12 times i cracked it on both joints and the rim jus literaly died.I had a onza hog rim two wich are exactly the same but this one took more it only dented about 7 times and took some huge gaps, that rim had about 3 grinds and u could still use the rim but i wanted a new one.Now iam running a onza ronnie its super strong and i havnt managed to dent it yet and its had 2 grinds the only downside is that the tire folds dead bad and throws you abit and i have a few plebs every so often because i run 2005 monty tyres but all in all there amazing rims and there is a problem with the new tryalls my friend danny foster who is amazing never killed one as bad as i did hopefully this problem can be resolved and tryall can regain its legendry name .
  20. 23. This post is rather interesting as different people learnt different ways I started off by my mum and dad buying me a white base t 20 wich i learnt basic hoping on and i learnt how to do the very dangerous weelie drop. Then i was bought a red base t19 fd wich i learnt how to project on and started doing drops.Eventually it died and i got a onza t pro and learnt allot on it and entered my first comp on it last year in early july .then i upgraded to a onza tmag and learnt even more and entered 2 more comps. and now i've got really good and i've got a zoo python 06 and i'm entering most upcoming comps.well thats all my trials life summed up in 6 lines how sad lol hope this helps anyone .
  24. Hi my choice would be the maxxis minion as they are realy thick gripy tyres perfect for street or natti but the highrollers will save your pounds and come with extra options like cavalar and alu cable .Either way your bike will be grippy I hope this has helped you good luck.
