  1. when a shop asks you for front or rear the only thing that differs is the angle of the noodle .
  2. ive snaped a pair of them cheap echo mounts that they sell on selectbikes, the ones i broke were just cheap cast crap and sheered streight off . now i own 3 pairs of cnc mounts and ive never use any other
  3. that bikes doesnt make any sence did this guy have echo frame and snap it because i cant the see point in having a monty219 frame and a chrisking hub its still quite a nice bike and its a good spec just need some colour co-ordination .
  4. if your going for size over quality you could allways buy just a cheap lcd telly from argos , i did that and payed 300 for a 38 inch lcd tv which is my computer monitor and tv
  5. i actualy agree with dave , if you look at the construction of the adamant freehub its nearly identicle to a profile hub . the main reason the stuck hubs exploded was because the forces being exerted on the rim were mutch greater which tore the driveside flanges off and cracked the hubshell .
  6. nah guys im not sure on weight yet , nothing is confirmed until i way them on proper scales instead of bathrooms scales .
  7. quite a few of the modifications you mentioned " jonny mc " i will be doing , my headset is shot so it will be replaced with a metta headset which is the lightist you can buy , my stem i might replace but not my bars yet . as for the wheels this is my ideal setup as i hate front freewheel , cranks are also on the cards and im thinking titanium avid levers and arms
  8. hmm maybe my scales were out then , but i will take it to work and measure it with super acurate scales
  9. my x missis has just been in hospital she had it that bad , she nearly died aswell
  10. generaly this will happen if the crank is not flush to the bb , because when you ride the crank is being forced against the bb so all you have to do is keep tighteing it until the crank and bb are flush togeather if your strugling use a longer allenkey or make an extension to get more torke on it .
  11. hi guys well as a few of you might have known ive been needing a new bike seeing as my ko decided to die and it felt horrible so i bought this it weighs in at 8kg dead the spec is echo lite long 2008 echo urban froks zoo bar and stem viz headset echo bb tensile cranks rear profile front hope xc tryall rims in white front deore arms with heatsink red pads and a tetrko lever rear magura 04 with plazmatic pads kmc hollow chain tarty grips creapy crawler tyers just to asure everyone i have made no modifications to get it to this weight , but i will be changing componants which could make it lighter
  12. im sorry aobut the quality and also the fact how its not to clear but you get the jist also i would like to point out that on the second test wehn it sqeaks is because i let the break drag . brake test enjoy
  13. ive often found that the better the quality of the break , the quiter it was . Also how tight the bolts are effects the sounds of the break because the squeak is caused by vibration , i have a test video to show the difference if anyone is interested. As for cables i allways use teflon coated cables because they generaly slide in and out alot easier and last alot longer , most teflon cables are pritty cheap and i recomend clarks cable ive been using it for years with no problem at all . clearance shouldnt be a problem as most v brake arms dont foul the frame and as mentioned above the heatsink adaptors are very flexible . if you want to know anything else just ask
  14. ive snapped , frames , forks , bb, bearings, breaklines, rims , axels , chains , chain tensioners, mech hangers ,spokes , cranks . but most of that was back in the day were as now my bike is to an amazing spec , because this is in new members i would like to advice people to check there components regularly and if any signs of stress or damage are showing you should remove and replace the component because you could get seriously heart and ive learnt the hard way .
  15. there is absoloutely no point in owning that bike , for a start the due nature of trials means thats its going to get scratched to ribbons and get nice big dints no matter how good you are . i admit it does look impressive but i would never pay that mutch for a frame thats is goign to get cross threaded dented and generaly abused .
  16. the only thing i can think of is that the retention of the v brake arms is to tight ( in simple terms the little pin is in the wrong hole ) i have my brake on the lowist setting with the grub screws all the way in . could also be the clarks cable i find it very stretchy for a while .
  17. most people who have said " wow hes the next craig " obviously havnt followed dan through his entire time riding , hes allways been amazing its just that this time his style had adpated to change with the times .
  18. to test your ration you could allways dismantle a cassette and take a 17 tooth cog out ?
  19. if your on about the brake that comes fitted to the cheaper 26" level boss , then it is a copy of the tetrko front mechanical disk .
  20. hmm ive been drinking for a while now and i prefer cider to guinis because cider tastes quite nice especialy if its bought from cornwall but just recently i have found a new drink which i love i like jagermister :$ i think iam a secret german , ooh and i like sambuca and micky finns if anyones ever tried that .
  21. religion is the route to all evil and all war , i read that homosexual post and tried to put into perspective how that kid feels and i know i would have smacked my dad by now . thank god my fammily are nothing like that and will except me for who iam and respect my beleifs .
  22. i phrased that wrong i ment there isa fault that existed in the blue pads which has obviously ocured in his red cnc pads .
  23. did anyone listen to what this guy said , he is on aobut the fault that apears in heatsink blue pads . some of us may rember a while ago a fault with the heatsink blues were a gluey compound would apear out of the pad this sounds just like what he describes , if you dont beleive me ask fat mike i showed him my pads at cycolgy and he was shocked . if this is as ive described email steve and see if he can sort you out with a refill .
  24. there both realy nice bikes especialy the 24" i like what hes done with the differnt coloured tape in places on the frame . and he has a fatty fetish
  25. its a prototype onza stem and the zenith is a proto , the seller is from nottingham so its probably somoen from supercycles selling left over proto frames again.
