  1. hi there, my mate has told me about a ride in leeds soon but i'm not quite sure when it is. i don't really ride trials any more but am still a keen rider of most styles, i'm looking more to take a few pics and have a good day out maybe get back into trials. can any body help me with up coming rides in the north of england, newcastle, sheffield, leeds and places like that. or maybe an invitation for some of my mates from northallerton to come ride with you guys. cheers in advance
  2. i started on a monty 221 x lite, its still my bike right now but i don't ride that much any more. it's a lovely bike and i wouldn't want anything else. it's also vintage its over 10 years old lol and i still have the original front tyre and rims lol most of it is stock to be honest but she rides like a dream.
  3. i have snaped a few things not quite as much as most people but generally out of age. snapped will longden's old dh specialized frame ooooops lol s and m bmx frame my rear monty rim a few spokes brake lever dmr mech hanger twice rear mech a fair few chains i think that's about it
  4. lol it's my 350d i bought one of my very own, pretty much the first opportunity i got to use it. had it on the sports setting for most of the time its just cos we were panning the camera along with the rider is why its blurred and only realized that the flash looked better after we finished lol, still coming to terms with all the little bits it has but cheers for the advice. much appreciated.
  5. give it time to stop your hands hurting they will tuffen up and it'll be all fine, why don't your try some odi lock on grips or something like that.
  6. i run my front harder than my back purely because i spin more on my front and its easier with a higer psi, as for knowing the psi i don't i pumpt till it feels nice then ride a little let some air out or in and then i'm off. i guess itl be different each time but it's all cool.
  7. just got a few pics of me and my mate riding today, not all trials but owel. just learnt no footers today so thought i'd share with all. have fun
  8. i don't know what they'd be like for trials but not to bad i would of thought but deity components make white street bars and stem.
  9. it's not monty, the down tube is too curved for it and it looks more like my mates gu. if it was monty the rider would be pasted in monty clothing as it looks like a proto or a special one off at the moment. monty hardly ever change their geo of bikes either.
  10. thats silly no you would'nt, how do you think unicycles work, its the same principal just with two wheels.
  11. wow that bike looks nice, being a jump bike, and getting a bit of a pounding every so often, how do you keep your wheels straight with so little amount of spokes. are they actually quite strong contradictory to my eye sight. my wheels buckle to often although they aren't crossed and a little old school but then again i'm not the smoothest of people.
  12. lol thats where the streets tricks come in, no footers all the way lol although you'd have to bunny hop for crank flips but owel lol. i do like my manuals
  13. but you wouldn't need any engagements the wheel would do what ever your legs would do with help to ratios. if you had engagements then it wouldn't be fixed and the whole idea would be pointless. the idea was to get more control with out using engagements because you are using two extra limbs to help. like for example if you hopped up a rock with fixed free wheels you wouldn't slip unless it was the surface which was not grippy enough, in a way it would act like a uni cycle there fore using your legs as extra brakes. sorry if i sound patronizing.
  14. i know there are many topics about this sought of thing already but, today at college some thing great happened to me. me and my mate made a new catch phrase for our personal use. it came from when watching bmx vids in art and every time we saw some thing good go down we both went yo accidently or yeah or something like that and now we are always being silly and just doing it every time we see each other (this is starting to sound gay). just wondering what do you say or do when some one achieves something like landing a difficult trick or what ever.
