  1. Thanks for the input. I do agree i have used TrashZen many a time. It is a fantastic website. I am trying to do something different and haven't quite come up with the right idea yet. There are so many sites out there I just wanted to try incorporate a bit of everything and have it one place! I may still have to knock this one on the head!
  2. Sorry I didn't word that very well. I don't want feedback on the site, the stuff there is just as a holder on the space(name is going to change too just using an old webspace of mine). I am after what people would like to see appear on the site. I have had people asking for bike reviews, how-to's (trashzens kind of thing) alot of people want a bit of everything that is around but in one place. A few have asked for another magazine style site, more updated than the odd few out there. Things like that. I only put the link there for the guys to email site admin. Sorry for the confusion guys!
  3. Hi guys I am starting up my own trials specific website. I am looking to aim the site at complete noobs all the way to vetrans. I have got some good feedback so far and am looking for some more! So if you guys have any ideas PM me or or goto http://www.alanscott.me.uk '> http://www.alanscott.me.uk Look forward to the feedback! Alan
  4. No I checked that the pads weren't moving. They are firmly in place and I cannot see any play in them at all. I am gonna go mess with the star fangled nut and see if there are any problems in there.
  5. I thought that's what it was but I have done that and it hasn't made any difference. Any other ideas?
  6. Hi guys This is probably something really obvious but I'll ask any way. My brother has a standard spec Onza T-pro 2005. All original parts. Of late his forks seem to be loose. When holding the front brake and pushing forward there is some give. Not a flexing, cracked something give, but a "You idiot, haven't tightened a bolt" kind of give. I have loosened up every bolt on the stem and headset and re tightened but there is still this give. Does anyone know what I have missed here as I can't see it being too safe for my bro to ride on. Any help would be great guys. Alan
  7. Hi mate. I was like you getting into trials from a long break and not really knowing much about geometries etc. I think the best advice has been given. Ride around on a few different bikes. See which you like the feel for. I did and ended up on the T-pro. I think for the price it is the best value for money. Pretty reliable parts and doesn't need much if not any modifying straight away. Don't rule out stocks either. Have a ride on a few of those too, slightly more expensive but there is much more choice in components etc. But coming from moto trials you probably want a mod. In the end your choice will come down to personal preferance.
  8. Marks right 6 of 1 half dozen of the other. IMO it's not what kind of bikeyou ride but the rider. Ifyou have the mentality that I can go further because I am on mod you probably will. Alot of trials is your mindset. To be honest I just ride what I feel more confident on which is a mod, that makes me ride better.
  9. Unfortunatly I couldnt take pics of mine in hosptal but I fell onto the end of my bars in my abdomen. The doc said any harder and I would have empaled myself and probably died. Instead just had some internal bleeding and some sick swelling. Then about a week later I had bruising from my chest down to my knees. That wasn't fun
  10. My first trials frame was the old hawzey giant trials frame. Then after I stopped and got back into trials was a tpro.
  11. I totally agree with you. T-pro is amazing value for the money. Mags 05. ACS, Creepies etc. There is nothing that comes close for a complete mod in that price range.
  12. No you don't have to have a bashplate as far as I was aware. UCI rules penalise you if you actually use it.
  13. When I used to ride BMX I was dropping into metal quarterpipe, with wet tyres. Front wheel slipped under me and I landed full pelt on the end of the handle bars into my abdomen. Lovely internal bleeding and 6hours in hospital. The bruising afterwards was a beauty, all down my front from my chest to my knees!
  14. Hey Scott. Yeah that should be good sometime. I was riding trials from when I was 12 - 15. Only just got back into it last month when I got myself a new T-pro to mess around on. I'm still getting back into things so not too great, but I gotta keep practising I'll get there! How long you been riding?
  15. Maidstone isn't too bad if you know where to look. Plenty of lines where you wouldn't normally find them. As I am still getting back into trials, so spend most of the time on pallets in the garden. Benefits of own place with big garden! There is some good natural again if you know where to look for it. Plus there is penshurst nearby which is great for natural, plus not just trials its DH/Slalom, BMX / Jump XC. It's really not too shabby. Anything decent up there by you?
