  1. They would need to be a proper letter addressed to the committee at BikeTrial UK - saying why you think the rule should be changed. You can email to:- info@biketrialuk.co.uk or the Secretary's address on www.biketrialuk.co.uk
  2. Everyone at the meeting (AGM) would get a vote.
  3. Any correspondence is read at the next meeting. Any change in the rules would have to be reviewed/agreed at the AGM which will probably take place in December/January. The implications of changing any rule would be discussed then voted on by those attending the meeting, taking into account any written letters.
  4. The BIU rules are made by the BIU Head Office, Japan, through a Jury of delegates from several different countries (including the UK). In the UK we use the BIU rules, with some adaptations (such as we have abolished the "shoe rule" in the UK). BikeTrial UK can change whatever rules they want to for British Championships - just as clubs can change whatever rules they want to at club level. Two years ago (when Section 7 site was up and running properly) there was this exact same debate about the six gear rule. At that time I invited all those complaining to send a letter to the BikeTrial UK committee asking for the rule to be reviewed. NOT ONE LETTER WAS SENT !!! If you want the rule to be reviewed at British level --- DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT !!! Every letter received by the committee is taken seriously. (On the other hand ... that rule is not actually enforceable at British because we never do "scrutineering" for insurance reasons - the only way you'd get caught out was if someone put in an official complaint about you during the event - but I didn't say that!!!) 5. Results now on-line www.biketrialuk.co.uk Well done everyone! :P
  6. It's open to all age groups ... the reason for the small entry numbers is so that Ot can give each rider individual attention to help each of them from whatever stage they're already at. Give it a go Ali - should be fun! :o If the numbers for all the days aren't filled the event will have to be cancelled - so PLEASE everyone, get your entries in ... it's taken about two years to get this arranged!!!
  7. :"> awwwww ... :"> :"> :"> I go on holiday tomorrow (Sunday) straight after the Back Cowm Trial (I should have gone yesterday but delayed my departure for you all :o ). I'll be away for a week (with no internet connection), and Chris just doesn't do emails! Give him a call on 01729 851350 - he'll sort you out. :o Barbara
  8. NOTE ..... this was only for this 1st round, and only after we knew the initial entry numbers and observer volunteers ... it's up to the organiser/secretary of each round whether they want to do this or not. The important issue at British Champ level is to keep the quality of the event, minimising queuing, increasing enjoyment, etc. We reckon a maximum of 80 riders in a British round - we had 73 applications. Thanks to everyone! Anyway, glad to read that you all enjoyed it. :) Results now on-line www.biketrialuk.co.uk
  9. The X-Lite cranks used to come in silver, but now only in black. But I have seen loads that have polished up really nice! :)

At Summerbridge, turn right uphill immediately after the Flying Dutchman pub and follow road (straight on at small crossroads) to Brimham Rocks National Trust car park on left. The trial is located along a lane to the left of the National Trust car park. The trial will be signed from Summerbridge. From the M6, take the M65 towards Burnley/Colne. At the end of the M65 follow directions towards Skipton on the A56/A59, then towards Harrogate on the A59. This is not an official campsite so please note that toilets will be provided, but water is not available - you will need to bring water with you. Under 18's must have an adult with them and responsible for them. Please note that riding is not allowed on the actual Brimham Rocks. That is National Trust land, and riding there will lose the farm venue for future trials. We are trying to arrange for a food van to be present on Saturday evening and all day Sunday - to be confirmed - watch the BikeTrial UK website for confirmation. www.biketrialuk.co.uk

  21. Just finished sorting entries - 59 riders (although I suspect some will just turn up tomorrow - entries taken on the day) - quite evenly spread through the classes for once! 10 sections - 5 observer volunteers (plus I'm dragging my other half along so 6). We need 4 more observers to get started on time so bring along the girlfriend / mum / dad / brother / sister / friend !!! :S Wayne, Tom and Chris have done some crazy sections (promise I only tweaked them a little bit Wayne, AND I left your BIG rock in this time (Y)" - we didn't get away till 5.30pm). Looking forward to doing the results!!! See you all in the morning. >_< Barbara
