  1. did the booster come wiith spacers? i dont have any experience with v-brake boosters but if it runs the same principal as hs33 ones u need to use spacers
  2. i didn't actually paint it there i did it outside but it started to rain so i brought it in to dry in ma bath room lol mum killed me as it was for bleeding my hs33s in the bbath an getting hydraulic fluid all over it lol
  3. i find a little pre-hop to side hop is easier to learn jus practice on some pallets is your best bet
  4. I got bored while waiting to be able to afford some new cranks so i painted my bike in matt white. Im really pleased with the finish. i need to redo the forks as they came out shocking. i have a few additions to the spec too i now have a tensile booster aand a hope front quick release skewer and have now just ordered some new echo cranks should be here by monday hopefully.
  5. You can run 18/15 as my mate is doing so on his. Mind you he runs a halflink chain like me. I havent noticed the chain stretch as yet to be honest but only time will tell. The ratio i am running suits me really well as its not to easy but not to hard. I used to run 16/12 and this is a slight bit easier to do stuff with.
  6. Awesome riding there mate. Keep up the good work!!
  7. The riding is really comin on now amanda. I should have my bike fixed this week so give us a bell when your next riding toytown an might have to pop allong. I really need to ride i feel like im getting fatter by the day!

  10. I have managed to snap a set of ea70's before. They were second hand so i dont know what abuse they had befor i got them though.
  11. hi everyone i have a 24seven holroyd and have been riding it for bout 6 months now im really getting on with it but i have just managed to colapse the drive side bearings in the bottom bracket its the fsa one it came with so im not supprised it has gone. can anyone recomend a fairly good one to replace it as i dont want to be replacing them every 6 months. my budget is about 40 quid tops so not really the best busget i know i was thinking along the lines of maybe a skf one http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2027 ps its isis that i need and dont have enough room for external bearing ones as i run a front f/wheel wand need to keep the chain line as straight as possible
  12. i also have one and i find it really nice to ride the one thing i did do though is to take the forks and replaced them with a set of fattys. this allowed me to run front hs33 it also dropped the front givving it a more streety feel to it overall i think it is a bargain for what you get i dont know any budget bike that rides this good for the money
  13. hi amanda im also from taunton but my bike is in pieces at the moment as broke my rear hub. im in the process of building a new wheel up so should be out riding again next week weather permitting. you can have a go on my bike if you want aslong as i can give the uni a go lol! jamie
  14. thanks for all the help mate, i think i might go for the 18:14 then by the looks of it. thanks again
  15. i spoke to tarty a few weeks ago and they said that the tensile freewheel is still in testing as wernt happy with it. that is why i am after trying something different
  16. hi everyone i am running a gear ratio of 16t front freewheel and 12t rear fixed on my 26" at the moment and really like it the only problem is i need to replace my worn acs freewheel and all i can get is the same freewheel in 16t. i have been offered an 18t eno for cheap and was wandering what size cog to go for on the rear i think it needs to be either a 13t of a 14t as i have ridden my friends set up with 18 15 and its to easy for me can anyone help me decide which one i would be better off with(closest to what i am running currently) as i am a little stuck thanks in advance jamie
  17. thanks people i am gonna try and make a short vid soon the only problem i have is i only have my 5megapixle camera phone so hopefully the quality will be good enough
  18. thanks been riding for ages but only just got back into trials after 4 years out been back riding now for 3 months ish and picking it back up quite quickly. the 24seven suits me perfectly now i have changed the forks over to some fattys and put a maggie on the front as i didnt like the flexy forks that it comes with standard and didnt get on with the disc jamie
  19. added to youtube now but for some reason i cant edit my first post to include this link http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5dn4JbFoYKY

  21. hi i have recently bought a 24seven holroyd and now its built up i made a quick vid of me hooking a 6 pallet stack i no its not huge but its a start what do you think?
  22. if i was you i would start with a 26 because you are quite a tall chap you can get some good starter bikes on tartybikes.co.uk either that or ebay trials is quite hard to pick up but if you have the basic skills (good balance, back hopping etc ) you shouldnt take to long to start progressing
  23. i have found that the onza citrus are really good pads with a light- medium grind and are cheap at only 11.00 from tarty bikes
  24. i run my 04 lever upside down and have done for as long as i have been riding trials and works perfectly just looks a bit odd
