  1. My first choice for a custom frame will always be a Triton Looking for something cheaper though, Ozonys sounds nice. Never owned a frame from a comp brand before apart from Montys. I think Ali C is absolutely right about the riding style. You just don't get the flow and smoothness of riders like Porter, Rowan, Grillet or Ali from the high bb crowd. One of the reasons I want to go back to low bb and short wb is actually the style, mine has gone completely to pot on the Zoo. Riding it feels like pushing a cow up a set of stairs. Great frame for street riding, no good for natural.
  2. You could have learned to play golf with your crutches. That's what I'd have done.
  3. Yeah but it's not about old frames being better because in my opinion they weren't. For one, we're finally getting 135mm spaced horizontal dropout frames which a few years ago seemed like something that was just way too complicated and almost impossible to implement (sarcasm). I have some old Deng frames in stock but despite the geometry being sound I'm not interested in them for those reasons, plus tyre clearance. The Ozonys seems bang on actually, I've emailed Tarty to ask about the geometry difference between their website and Ozonys.
  4. Why can't manufacturers make both high and medium/low bb rise frames? It's ridiculous how trials geometry always goes into extremes. 6 years ago Echo made all their frames with a high bb (well, Czar, Zoo, Adamant and GU). Most people hated that so they stopped and all that remained on the market was a heap of low rise frames because that's all that the other brands were making at the time. Now suddenly it's going into the extremes again, Koxx is doing a +70 stock and it's becoming difficult to find a +30mm frame because everyone else has followed suit. I've been wanting to change my Zoo for something with a lower bb and shorter wheelbase and there isn't anything out there! Just the Cannibal V3 which (if Tarty's measurements are to be trusted and not Ozonys's) sounds good. I wonder when Mr. Koxx, Mr. Monty and Mr. Echo decide that actually high bb was a bad idea and only produce low bb frames, this time giving no choice to riders who want more rise
  5. I envy you, you're going to be bloody good one day.
  6. What's wrong with the Viz rim?
  7. It's called progress and innovation and it can only be good. Trialtech? Problem with trials components is that they're made of materials which are of rubbish quality. If there was as much R&D going into materials used for trials bikes as there is for those used in the automotive industry, our bikes would not only be a lot lighter, but also a lot stronger. It all boils down to the market value which for trials is very low. So for now we're destined to ride piles of crap which somehow work.
  8. In 2012 we'll no doubt be able to buy these forks under the Speedrace, Bonz and Inpulse brand I recently fractured the end of my carbon handlebars after hitting them against a rock. The weave just split. They'd be fine if I used bar ends but this has made me aware of the weaknesses of carbon fibre and personally I wouldn't want to dish out 200+ quid on a fork and damage it after a few weeks of riding.
  9. That. And recently started listening to chillout / ambient music, seems to improve flow and smoothness.
  10. The bit where he makes fun of Hammond almost getting killed is a bit disturbing. Even more so is the audience which seems to find it funny.
  11. Geez sounds like I'm in the dark ages. No android, no chrome, no gmail, no mobile facebook haha. Google is taking over the world and I'm glad not to be a part of it
  12. That's a LOT of control you've got there.
  13. Amazing riding. Is that the new Koxx with a ridiculously high bb?

After reading the last page I still have no idea what this is about. Is it some spotty wimpy teenagers playing god almighty on their computers? edit: about stuxnet posted earlier - there's a talk on TED about it:
  15. Bloody nice that. edit: what's the weight?
  16. Could someone elaborate? I've been looking through this thing and I cannot figure out why anyone would need to use it?
  17. Have you "pumped" the brake lever? If that doesn't help it's not fully bled.
  18. This might not turn into the biggest thread on TF but an argument will soon sprout up which will induce a lot of quoting and many pages of replies.
  19. Doesn't Paypal only insure goods purchased via ebay?
