That's pretty much it. TGS is the easiest form of trials and the one you learn first. My average ride consists of what you'd call TGS but that's just because there's no sensible natural nearby. I'd happily trade never riding walls again for some good natural spots
Just had a corma curry, rice with safron, cucumbers in joghurt and obviously mango chutney. My dad can't cook for shit but his currys are exceptional, better than anything I've had in Indian restaurants.
People often forget how good this method is for improving braking performance. Definitely worth a go - no matter how good your brake is, it will improve it further (not aimed at the topic poster). Works with disc brakes too.
You might have a problem finding the right oil. If I'm not mistaken it's much thinner than Royal Blood. Using a thicker oil will make the brake a lot less responsive.
What I'm interested in is, if you use a water bleed on these brakes, will it still leak if you flush it and bleed with oil? I'd try a water/Phluid bleed but wouldn't like to ruin such expensive brakes.
Well that's water so I can't see there being a big difference?
I'm acutally quite surprised that you'd want a bleed with the new SL brakes, they're very responsive out of the box.
The 2.4" Big Betty surely qualifies as a decent TGS tyre?
I'd very much like a frame like the Inspired Hex but with horizontal dropouts and a disc mount. I'm guessing that the reason why these frames don't have such features is that they'll be introduced one by one over the next 2 years?
Would those be the ones with E on the steerer? Haven't heard of any new SL forks personally, thought they just underwent some styling changes a few months ago to fit the new hollow headtube.
People from Poland often ask the same question about riders from the UK
The Monty video I uploaded into the TF video category but since that place is a complete mess, I doubt you'll be able to find it. It's called Lucky is back.
What about Bonz forks? They're fairly lightweight and made of the same alloy as Trialtech forks. That's where I'd start looking at least. Trialtechs aren't exactly light.
That was my initial guess but after inspecting the pics, the Hex has a lot more tyre clearance. The BB yoke is very different despite the chainstay length being the same in the Hex and 4play.
Now this is something I don't understand. You have this Jack Meek, and then you have the one who was super happy about sidehopping something like 3 feet into the back of a truck and decided to make a thread about it. Is it the same guy?
Riding in this vid is absolutely incredible and so inspiring.
Shit dude, nasty! Urbans have gotten a lot lighter recently so it's quite important (as with SL forks) to inspect them every now and then especially if you've got 4-bolt mounts.
Get new pads and wash the rotor with washing up liquid.
In all fairness it's very unlikely you'll achieve proper braking once the pads have been contaminated.
Your brake is honking because the pads are contaminated, pretty common symptom.
