  1. I can't remember any good vids from this year And because of that, I'm going to go with this: Or one of Kevin Liu's wherestheseat episodes.
  2. It's odd, he's sketchy but does stuff which requires a lot of control. Kind make up my mind whether I like it. Beats a TGS mod video any time though.
  3. I won't answer your questions because I don't think the answers would help but.. Rode mod for 5 years and then went over to a stock. Started off with a 2004 Echo Pure but soon went over to an A1 which was if I remember 1065/55/372/72. I had Zoo bars (the old ones) and a 145x25 stem. It was a great bike, felt a lot like a mod. I'd definitely recommend something along those lines. The reason why going from mod to high bb stock can be "good" is because you don't feel the massive rear wheel under your bottom. The whole bike feels a bit like a mod. My advice would be to go for a frame with a steep HT angle (72 or so) with a relatively short wheelbase but relatively long reach. Couple that with a long stem.
  4. I can't believe that some people on the first page were actually looking forwards to this white trash.
  5. Yeah, that works. Or you can just use dish washing fluid.
  6. This rotor doesn't look like it's been modified manually. Not sure what to think of it actually, the amount of work that would go into programming a CNC mill/plasma or water cutter surely isn't worth it. Wouldn't recommend a file, hacksaw or angle grinder, you'll just bend the rotor everywhere.
  7. Beginning wasn't too encouraging. Personally I only enjoy watching natural from pro riders. Everything after that was nuts. I loved how half way in the riding started to flow from one trick to another, then with a seemless transition to another clip making it feel like one massive line with no interuptions.
  8. It's probably the same handlebar just with tweaked geometry. Really, it's not like each manufacturer makes their own bars, most of them come from the same factory in Taiwan. So the choice is not a matter of what brand it is but the geometry and material it's made of.
  9. I can't see why there wouldn't be a 20" Zoo, those frames were really popular. I'm 99% sure your reliable source is wrong; I haven't bothered finding out from the man himself though. I've taken some detailed pics of these frames, must say they're quite a lot nicer than the last year's models. There's a lot of attention to detail.
  10. In that case TNN have just gone with their own measurements because they're completely different
  11. I've said this in many topics like this, if it's a new King you're getting, don't bother. Try buying a 2nd hand hub which has had a clean running record, preferably from someone you can trust. Hand on heart I don't know a single person who bought a new king within the last 3 years and hasn't had major problems with it.
  12. Wow Hannah, that's messed up I enjoy at least one dream every night, yestetday I had a really stupid one. I went to a swimming pool which looked more like a massive house covered in light blue tiles that got flooded. I figured out a way of levitating about 2m above the water and while others were swimming in the pool, I was flying around. The only glitch was that I could only do that with a friend sitting on me. I found flying really amazing but nobody seemed to give a shit so I shouted down at some guy and he just said something along the lines of "yeah, that's not news, you've got a guy sitting on you, anybody can do that. Try it without him". Needless to say I did and couldn't levitate anymore.
  13. Not sure they class as resolutions but they're things I'd like to do. 1. Business related, not really the right place to post this. 2. Finish masters degree but that's going to happen if I want it or not sadly. Frankly I don't give a shit. 3. Secure myself finacially. 4. Finish the M3. Continue with drifting and give time attack a go too. 5. Build up a new 26" trials bike, perhaps also a 24" trials, a mod and get an Inspired as well. Not just for my purpose but for customers to come over and see what different bikes are like. 6. Rebuild my trials obstacle course which has been neglected and started to rot almost 2 years ago. 7. Get myself a proper gf. 8. Main plan for 2011 - go on a driving trip up into the Alps with my dad, onto the south coast of France, then to Buthiers and return through the Nurburgring. Taking bike with me, want to make a natural video of spots we encounter on the way high up in the mountains. Really looking forward to this. I've spent almost 5 months now preparing for 2011 in order to realise all these plans.
  14. This is a great guid but I'd like to express my utmost disappointment at there being no industry standard for pad refills. Why should we have to do this in the first place?
  15. I'm amazed anyone would ever trust those devices or a bit of rope. I'd probably still shit my pants with triple security. When you're tenting on a wall, do you secure your bodies to ropes as well in case the tent falls?
  16. How do you keep your hands warm when climbing stuff like that? Surely after 5 minutes of contact with freezing rocks and cold winds they'd just go numb. Also are you scared of heights?
  17. Ahh this could well become the thank you thread!
  18. Well it's not like he got dragged out of his house the moment he won?
  19. Indeed, just throwing ideas around since this is quite an interesting thread. The welding suggestion was in no way an answer to the initial question.
  20. Is it possible to have Excel backup files onto an FTP server? Or does anyone perhaps know of some backup software that will automatically backup files? I'm looking for either something integrated with Excel or a little app that will run in the background and take care of important data.
  21. Actually, why would one want to pay so much for scaffolding if you can probably get some pipes, cut them up and weld them together with a MIG? For such an application you don't need to have any idea about welding.
