    Nope, roads and pavements.

    My Crash

That's what you get for trying to jump onto a railing with a bike. Seriously, what a ridiculous idea.
  3. Meh, 3rd topic in the last 48 hours. Sorry. I usually use epoxy for this but I've run out and want to install new refills for tomorrow. Is super-glue good for the job? I recall there being problems with using super-glue for metal-rubber adhesion.
  4. Loving the attention to detail.
  5. I'd recommend the TR platform pedals. Running SL's at the moment (they're identical) and they are by far the most comfortable pedals mainly due to their size and very low profile. Haven't tried the caged pedals yet, planning on doing so in the near future.
  6. I'm guessing that such an elasticated fabric will pull hairs on your body causing soreness after a while. At least that's what I get with long socks in the winter. Rather unpleasant. But if you say it's ok then it probably is. Thanks for the answers.
  7. Read a few topics on here about the 2XU and the only proper feedback was from OBM. I'm inclined to give it a try since I can kind of imagine how this might change the overall feel of the body while riding. Apart from looking slightly gay unless wearing a long sleeve tee and trackies I have slight concerns about this garment. First of all, I can imagine getting used to it which will kind of suck when you're not wearing it? Secondly, how comfortable are they for people who don't shave their entire body? Would you end up feeling sore after a few hours of riding? And finally, do they keep you warm or not? I can't imagine wearing that outfit and trackies + a tee on top in the summer.
  8. I've seen them on your website but was hoping to find them in a nearby bearing shop for a quater of the price. Looks like it's not going to happen though
  9. Just checked the two stems side by side and the Trialtech one is around 12mm higher, lengthwise they're almost identical. 130mm Trialtech that is.
  10. Trying to find bearings for Reset BB's. The size is 31x21x7. Does anyone know the number of this bearing? Can't find anything that will fit.

    Forks

The ones with three holes on the disc tabs are the old batch. The new one has no drilling. There could have been an imtermediate batch but it's going to be hard to tell.

    Forks

I snapped my old SL forks (from late 2008 when they were released) after no more than 10 rides. Half a year later while putting the bike on a diet I got a new pair, supposedly from the Echo factory, not the outsourced garbage that was available before. Still using them and it's been over a year. Mind you I'm a pretty smooth rider but still. I think the SL's are ok. They have terrible flex on disc brake but with a 4bolt they're fine.
  13. Do you have a link to the ones you're using?
  14. I don't ride in the winter only because of there being no way to keep my hands warm. Cold hands = no feel of the brake = a feeling of total insecurity. I've tried leather gloves and all sorts of combinations but found nothing that will keep me warm enough to ride. It's actually a pain in the arse when such a silly thing stops you from riding.
  15. I'm going to risk saying that probably less than 10% of brake problems can be attributed to the pads themselves. The remaining 90% is the grind, condition of the surface of the rim, pad setup, brake mounts, booster, bleed etc. You can even mess up the braking performance by grinding a rim incorrectly. edit, Oh and if Steve says that he gets his Coust compound from Michael then that's the truth. If there is any difference between the so called original Cousts and HSB Cousts (which is actually only a rumour since I don't think anybody has performed a direct comparison) it can only be attributed to Michael Coustelliers actions.
  16. There are bound to be inconsitancies but they shouldn't be so great as to turn a good pad into something useless or vice versa (this isn't aimed at the Coust pads, talking generally). Perhaps there's no point but I'm going to do a direct comparison anyway. Thanks a lot for the link guys
  17. See boys, that's why you wear a helmet. Nice vid, enjoyed it even though I'm not a fan of TGS.
  18. Is there any place in Europe one can buy these pads? http://www.trialsden.com/index.php/products/coustellier-hs33-brake-pads.html I'd really like to see if these are as good as the Coustsinks I used to have.
  19. As mentioned above, Heatsink get their pad material from the Coustelliers. But I'm 100% sure that the Coust material has undergone a change which Michael Cosutellier apparently refuses to admit. Up until recently I had a pair of '06 Coustsinks - the wear was so slow that they lasted around 4 years and I sold them on with a brake. The rubber was so grippy that the pads stuck to themselves. In the wet there was very little difference in performance. They also had a very characteristic clicking noise when rubbed against each other. In my personal opinion they've come from being the best pads in the world to just being very good pads. I've been through a number of different pads in the last years and nothing has come close the the performance of those "old" cousts.
  20. Not a fan of how that bike looks but looking forward to a vid. Would much prefer to see you on the V2 though
  21. Unlucky That soundtrack would work well in a porn movie.
  22. Deep Dish - Dreams probably, but it's hard to pick one. It's a song I've never got bored of and that rarely happens.
  23. Random insult about there being no point in having senior members.

    Bail Video

This is why I dislike such riding, it's all just based on luck rather than skill. After 100 attempts one is bound to be succesful and that's the one we see in the vid. They're not russian.
  25. Seen it happen before, rather disappointing. Possibly the best freewheel ever is defeated by a breaking chainring. edit: The titanium freewheel has a steel chainring so there will be no difference in durability.
