  1. Has anyone on here played with this toy? I'm thinking about getting one since it seems like a lot of fun and could be absorbing but I'm a bit worried that with my complete lack of programming knowledge I'll get stuck as soon as I finish piecing the bricks together. These are supposedly for 7 year olds but surely given the complexity of various designs on the net (mostly coming from people studying robotics) this isn't as easy as it may seem? Basically what I'm trying to avoid is spending 250 quid on something that will just get me frustrated. Any leads?
  2. This is to be expected unfortunately. Still it's better than ZHI finding the factory that makes Echo parts and just putting a different label on them.
  3. Really want a CTR after watching that vid. Both of you have improved loads which is pretty amazing seeing as you've been riding for ages now.
  4. I had a fun semi-lucid one a few nights ago, a day or two after Huang from Echo told me about their working hours and that Deng works at night and sleeps in the day. My dream was that for some reason I arrived at night in Hong Kong (it looked a lot like Illium in ME2 if any of you have played it) and went into a room in one of the sky scrapers which was the Echo factory. There I saw only girls working on parts. So I got really excited and decided to weld my own Zoo frame. Got the torch ready and all the pipes and then some woman came along and forced the torch out of my hand, pushed me aside and welded the frame herself which pissed me off. A moment later the heavy metal doors to the room opened with lots of force and Deng ran in, he was dressed in black and looked like a ninja without a hat. He moved around like a tank, with grace and speed and was really pissed off. At that point I started feeling rather uncomfortable and decided to wake up. It was a fun dream though
  5. Back then you could either get Monty or Echo tyres with a stripe. Both were white, then Monty introduced a yellow one which might have been different, I don't know. Mind you stripes are super cool, I remember back in the days applying correction fluid onto the little groove around the tyre to restore the stripe. I'm pretty sure the Echo tyre hasn't changed as such and is still the same but without the stripe.
  6. Echo ones aren't. Apparently Monty yellow stripe tyres were.
  7. I've got a brand new pair of Echo Supa Trials tyres but I'm not going to let them go If it helps they are absolutely rubbish, they grip like wood.
  8. You'll probably find some at trialmarkt.
  9. Old urbans have a steel steerer and very narrow 4bolt mounts.
  10. 00:37 was super cool. More of that stuff please!
  11. Duct tape frame strengthening. I like your thinking Now use some duct tape to connect the bottom tubes up as well.
  12. Starting a succesful business at the age of 20 I think. It's changed my life.
  13. Triton is a good idea but only if you want to wait a few months for your frame. They are in a completely different league to any other frame on the market and that's a fact. I had one for 2 years and then passed it on to a mate. Had a chance to ride his bike last week and it was amazing, had a completely different feel to aluminium frames. I offered the guy 500 quid for it but he said no Is Triton still going? Gazza left the company for a year or so?
  14. That's actually pretty nice
  15. Yep! Sorry for the late reply, copmpletely forgot about this topic
  16. Exatly what I use every time.
  17. That's not true my friend, apart from having to get a different hub these frames have little to no downsides. But why Deng had to make horizontal dropout stock bikes with a 116mm hub is beyond me.
  18. I'm with powder coating on this one. Painted frames myself and the layer is just not durable enough for trials use. A powder coating is actually really hard to chip or scratch.
  19. That's not something a Senior Member would say.
  20. We call that hydrotrials. Very good rider, fun vid.
  21. Heard it on the radio today but I think it was a remix of this song. Can't find it
  22. Been riding 26" SL 4b forks for 2 years or so, the first pair broke after about 10 rides, the 2nd has been going strong ever since.
  23. China, Russia, India, UAE, Oz... there's a number of interesting places to go. I'm sure the last thing these guys lack is ideas.
  24. A bit... meh. But the test of that Ferrari was brilliant. Somehow it just gave an idea of how amazing it might be to drive.
  25. Natural section wasn't what I'd call proper natural riding but it was fun to watch As for street, huge as always but needs move moves per shot. If you're making a gap from one wall to another, why not include a shot of you getting up that wall in a stylish manner? Would be even better
