  1. Well, it's just ordinary but sticky tar. It makes a huge difference but you might find it hard to get used to. It makes the brake really sticky but at the same time much more powerful. I guess you need to learn to apply the correct amount. I use it all the time and couldn't live without it
  2. Pretty sure every other Monty frame is as well. I think they're made by Pulo, thought all their frames were hand made? It's cheaper to use people rather than robots in China
  3. That looks light! How's the brake working without a grind?
  4. That's a tough one... Riding for 5 hours is easier than having sex for 5 hours. As of today, I'd get into the tub with that "above average girl" since I got my dream bike and can't be bothered to ride it. On the other hand, if I was offered to ride proper rocks in great company, I'd go out riding.
  5. Nope, you need a 3/32" allen key to maintain that and any other Chris King hub. The hub itelf is great, the distance between the flange and frame is the same on both sides meaning the wheel is stiffer. It uses an HD axle but the drive shell is made of aluminum.
  6. HDV uses anamorphic pixels. Either change the pixels to 1.0 and export in a 16:9 standard (best 1280x720 due to most HDV cameras not exceeding 700 lines anyway), or export in 4:3 with 1.333 pixels (then you have to manually change the aspect ratio in the program you're playing the video).
  7. Nope, but you don't you need one if you have over 4GB of RAM?
  8. Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated :$ Adam, the disc mount is +20mm so it'd probably need an adaptor. I believe 600 is the official UK price The frame itself weighs around 1,8kg, needless to say that's not why I got it. The brakes are a BB7 2006 and a 2007 BB5 up front, though I'm now running a rear magura, just can't get used to dual discs. Might be getting 24" wheels, dunno yet. Anyway, still haven't given it a good ride but so far it feels great.
  9. Right handed left footed on the bike play soccer with my right foot left foot forwards on a skateboard
  10. What about the old Gyro Giro E2?
  11. Got two PC's at home? Swap the graphics cards. Had a similar problem and it turned out something went wrong with it. Also had display issues in games.
  12. Moby - Porcelain i think it's a Rob Dougan remix
  13. This is what happens when you want to buy two black rims in Poland. Must say i rather enjoy the looks even though these rims are temporary. Had some fun building up the wheels too. Forks have cracked so I can't really ride this yet, might bodge them in the evening to make them a bit safer. Gazza came over with his girlfriend yesterday after a 1600km journey, brought this with him edit: Geometry is: 378mm CS 1091 WB +45mm BB 72deg head tube
  14. Greetings

Renntech SLR or this f**king beauty
  15. Early 90's 221 Xlite with the square bottom tube
  16. Monty due to it ORIGINALLY being dual disc Also like the paint job a lot
  17. Vista is just so much faster on my PC than XP was, all the standard applications load instantly. No problems with compatibility either. It's a great system if you have a fairly powerful PC and loads of memory.
  18. Did at one stage replace some parts from my Try-All with ones from the Truvativ. I'm pretty sure both BB's take the same bearings in terms of diameter. Not sure about the width though Edit: Truvativ Gigapipe DH/SL that is
  19. That means that these frames are made with one additional thing in mind - that you WILL see the tubes from the inside after a few months of riding.
  20. Well, it's definitely not a good starter frame
  21. I find any gearing heavier than 18:17 very limiting. You need more space for run ups, it's not as easy to move your body around. So far the perfect setup I've come across was 18:17 on 158mm cranks. It was great for gaps and also good for taps, due to the shorter cranks you could pedal much faster. Now having changed to 170mm cranks on the same gearing, I can't tap nearly as high as before.
  22. As much as i hate mods, i'll be getting myself one of these next year. Love it to bits. I remember tart writing it was around 75mm?
  23. Now that's what i'd call a pretty bike!
