Golf ***, providing you have an appropriate outfit.

Funny you should say that, had an identical rotor and it was utterly useless. Janson - indeed the cleansweep rotors are great, my friend has a 180mm one which is just as powerful as my 203mm Hayes (on the same brake of course). The only issue is the price. For the price of one CS rotor I can buy 4 Accents So to sum up, I should go for the rotor with the greatest surface area, ideally something like the old GustavM rotors or Plazmatics which didn't have any holes? edit: do you know where one can get hold of such rotors (got to be made of steel)?

Or just hire somebody heavy to sit on it? Like a farmer?

I just don't get why people make teasers. It would be understandable if your vid was going to be 1 hour long and you'd be releasing it on DVD. The riding was good but why not just make the proper video? edit: not meaning to be harsh or anything, just get the full vid out

Don't like such mixtures of colours, but at least your bike is totally different to all those colour-coordinated ones

Very good find, that's definitely what you should go for.

I know exactly what you mean, from my experience short pads actually work better (cousts for that matter). With disc brakes however, if you take a rotor with very little braking surface like #1, you have to establish if the extra pressure exerted on the rotor will make up for there being less friction between the rotor and brake pads. Also, if the brake pads aren't dead solid (which they probably are), the wavy shape of the rotor would allow for more locking power. Read about rotors making a difference in a post in which the author was writing about Leeson rotors and that they have extremely good bite. Thought it was Rich Pearson or the "Don't you just hate it when" chap, not sure though.

Yeah, it looks like he's trying to play the guitar.

1. Are both the pawls engaging at once? 2. Are the pawls sharp or maybe they've chipped? 3. Is the system lubed with thin oil, or have you put lots of grease into it? 4. Is there play on the bearings/driver? 5. Is the ratchet in good condition? Can't think of anything else, from my experience they're incredibly reliable hubs.

Had a similar problem with an '05 lever, flooded it with WD40 and it popped out after about 15 minutes.

Rowan sidehopping to the right? That's something new Great pics man, though too many of them represent the same moves on those benches. That's definitely my favorite

Lovely bike there, bet it rides well!

Promise this is going to be my last topic for a while Some time ago, I read on this forum that some rotors give more bite and locking power. Can't get my head over why this might be, after all the brake pads are pretty solid so the shape shouldn't matter. Anyway if they really do differ in performance, I'd be very grateful if those of you who have some experience with various rotors could tell me which one of these shapes would give the most locking power. They'll be used with 8" BB7s. I've narrowed my choices down to these four: 1.Accent SL 2.Accent 3.Hayes 4.Avid

I'd check what the CPU and memory usage is while you're encountering these difficulties. What OS are you running?

Because that's how everybody rides apart from the british

I say, a 219A or 219M like that would be mint Anyway, what I like about this is that it has clearly been designed to be functional and not to look good. It's obviously ugly, but it must be there for a reason. Still no info about the 221Pr, hope it's similar to this bike. Unfortunately it will probably be identical to the 221Ti 07 and we'll have to wait another year to see an affordable frame with the new design.

Don't want to continue this argument so I'll just add that 65 freewheels in ~10 months isn't actually that much - quite the opposite really - it's probably as much as shops sell in a month.
-
I myself do not officially represent any company and definitely don't run a shop in the normal meaning of that word. So instead of treating me as one of your competitors, try to understand that I'm just a rider like the majority of people who have posted in this topic, and as a rider I have my opinions which are based on what I find better/worse (or the feedback I receive) and not on what I sell/don't sell. As for the lack of evidence, you haven't posted any either. And although I've found a few pics, I won't post them here because that will only prolong this argument.

1.69m I can't jump nearly as high on my legs as i do on the bike

Love it, might get myself the mod one day

I like turquoise but it doesn't fit in with gold parts. edit: now that i've read your post i understand he doesn't know about it yet In case he doesn't like it, I just want to say it was nice having you around on the forum and you will be missed.

That's quite a common requirement. On a recent 8 day outing into the mountains, two of my friends cracked the steerers of their Hi-Fi forks. The distributor said they would be replaced, but they need to be broken. So these guys had to risk their health riding around with a cracked steerer hoping the whole fork would just break away. Eventually both forks broke and nobody got hurt in the process.

Smoking should be banned. The idea of inhaling smoke is almost as ridiculous as pumping gas into bottles to produce a fizzy drink. Tomm, are you a doctor?
-
Thought you ran DD? Anyway, WD40 doesn't really have much lubricating properties. Surely you have some motor oil in your garage?
-
Probably depends what inner tube you use and how you ride. The ElGato wasn't perfect in terms of pinch resistance, but I only had 3 or 4 flats in 8 months and I run a really low pressure. On the other hand, I pinched the Try-All (which is 600g heavier) running a higher pressure than usual, on the first ride. Might just have had a lot of luck / bad luck with the Try-All.
