  1. The riding was good etc. but that's just about it. Quite a disappointment mainly because I found Wawa vs Katowice 1 to be one of the best videos ever made and this one just doesn't live up to the expectations. Was expecting something much better
  2. Personally I find the short Czar absolutely awful, rides like shit. It so short one feels cramped, no space for movement. The GU on the other hand is quite nice, definitely my cup of tea.
  3. Few video stills from a recent outing. Sorry for their size, couldn't be arsed to resize. Just wait for all of them to load and they should be scaled down automatically. Dropgap Sidehop Fufanu to 360 Crankflip Sidehop Front wheel up to nose manual Very big tap to rear wheel Backflip tailwhip Hook thingy Sidehop Bad side sidehop Gap
  4. While the Monty topic was kind of interesting, this one is already getting a bit boring. There are well over 30 mod frames you can use to build up "the lightest (insert name of 20" frame here) in the world". I just hope you're not going to do it with all of them
  5. No you can't because the dropouts are 10mm and the thread on the funbolts is ~12mm.
  6. Nah, he's just a twat who can't think. There's nothing wrong with grinding the dropout.
  7. What happened with them? Did they just wear out very quickly or just stop working properly? Good to know such things
  8. Please don't get hydro brakes, it just won't work properly. Double 8" BB7's set up with minimal drag (both pads touching the disc) and a bmx lever with an extended lever blade, you can't go wrong with that and it will be super powerful!
  9. Maguras have a 5 year warranty against any leaks, a snapped lever is not covered under that warranty. Obviously if this were a manufacturing defect, they would replace it for you but not after such a period of time. I think you're stuck.
  10. Some very interesting moves in there. But the "music"... what the hell?
  11. It's a pain in the arse, my friend just removed a bit of the dropouts with a grinder. Been using his frame recently, it's still damn hard to get the wheel in
  12. It'll be back to normal after a few days of riding, you can't do anything about it other than just make sure the chain tension is greater than usual.
  13. A very silly one from the winter. I have no idea what i wanted to do so don't ask. Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  14. That guy sounds really similar to the chap who commented the most difficult Super Mario levels. Brilliant work though, deserves it's own topic.
  15. I have exactly the same problem every summer, go to bed at 4-5am and wake up at 1pm. The trick is to wake up at say 9am and fill your day up with activities, stay well away from the computer. Take a cold bath before going to sleep (i find it helps a lot) and set the alarm to the same hour you woke up that day.
  16. Chainstays sound a bit dodgy, it might be an idea to drill another hole at the end of the crack to stop it from getting any bigger. It's a good deal anyway, just get it welded.
  17. Vid was good, but as mentioned above - try to relax a bit more, you look tense on that bike.
  18. Of course it would be more dangerous if you rode the frame without welding it. I made that judgment assuming he'd have the cracks welded, or at least tried to remove them with a file if they aren't too deep. I'm quite certain a welded headtube would outlast welded chainstays. (edit: again, assuming there's a small crack in the head tube, not a huge one that goes right round )
  19. Levelboss and XTP mods ride extremely well. I'd go for one any time, in fact the other day i was wanting to buy a cracked XTP from my friend. It all depends on how expensive welding is in the UK. If you can get the frame welded properly, it shouldn't give you any trouble whatsoever. On the other hand, you might come across a grotty workshop which won't make a good job of it and so the frame will snap again. And finally, it depends on how you ride, if you're planning to do lots of drop gaps etc. or just ride normally. I'm sure it'd be much easier for us to judge if you posted up some pics of the cracks. A crack near the headtube isn't usually something to worry about, on the other hand cracked chainstays may be a problem.

    How To

Here's a brilliant guide, it covers everything you should know.
  21. That was amazing. Just so much variation, so well edited and despite the music not being to my taste, i didn't mind it at all. Looks like your rear brake slips sometimes but it seems to have quite a lot of hold none the less.
  22. I'd go for this: http://www.avid.com/products/freedv/index.asp Just given it a quick look, looks like the interface is not unlike Premiere which is very simple to use. You could always use trials, Premiere is 30 days, Sony Vegas is also 30 days I think. Out of the two Vegas is way more powerful, but also much more complicated.
  23. I don't believe the geometry of Montys were tailored to Canas. After all Ot Pi was the world champion for ages and his father owns Monty. And again, I doubt that after Comas became Monty's top rider, he decided to change the geometry of the whole bike. Indeed his Monty looks way longer but these people can get custom bikes anyway which doesn't mean that's a production model. Look at Bealey for example, from all I know his frame is custom.
