  1. i think people should keep well away from the computer when they're pissed bad things can happen
  2. Or sometimes it will work if you right click on the "IPB Image" text and select view image.
  3. Very nice bike and good you kept it colorless My mate snapped one of them frames but got a replacement for free and was allowed to keep the old one
  4. Well apparently the rims are fine. What i'd be worried about is how you weld a frame when it cracks.
  5. Word, found it impossible to do any rolling moves. Was fun though, i want a mod now
  6. Yep, just built it up and it's adequate. The spokes are so tight half the nipples are rounded off, yet if you lean on the front wheel with your hands, it bends like rubber. Never again to front Try-All rims... Thanks for the ideas, i found the best way was to lay the wheel on the ground and tighten the spokes while pushing the rim down in the place in which it was "sticking out". Thanks to this the spokes are much tighter, so instead of having tight and loose ones, i've got tight and very tight spokes = no more wheel flex when braking
  7. Well, thanks for the 2 replies from people who actually understood the topic Will try that "tree" trick out. Can't lace it 4x as i'm using the same old spokes which are the wrong length... though in my opinion the best lacing in this case would be a radial one. And yeah, I'm asking about how to LACE it so I don't get loose spokes (edit: and so that the wheel is fairly straight, doesn't need to be perfect!), not how to get the rim straight which I've been trying to do for a good hour without success. It's not bent in one place, it's an S shape when you look from behind
  8. No Ash, already tried straightening it. Using a hammer on such a springy piece of metal doesn't work. Standing on it with a small piece of wood under the bent area either. I'm looking for advice on how to lace it so it's fairly straight and the spokes are tight. There might be something that's worth knowing when getting down to this.
  9. I sat on my front wheel a while ago which caused it to bend very badly. Today i decided to take the rim off and straighten it, but it's bent so badly it just can't be done. We're taking about 3-4cm offset here. I've already ordered some of these magnesium rims but need to get this one going before the new ones arrive. Do you know of any tricks that might help me lace this wheel and make it straight? My main concern is that previously some spokes had to be really loose for the wheel to be true (by loose i mean with no tension at all). This caused a lot of wheel flex from the disc brake and small correction pivots on the front wheel felt like the whole bike was going to fall apart any minute. Note that this is going to be laced on a disc hub, meaning that half the spokes will be running almost vertically. Should I align the wheel so that the non disc spokes which run at a smaller angle pull the bent parts of the rim to make it true? Hope you understand what i mean, find it hard to explain.
  10. They are made from magnalium, not magnesium.
  11. Riding was good but the editing was just retarded. Why the hell would you want to repeat 2/3 of the clips in slow motion and b&w? Jeez, think of something more creative next time.
  12. Maybe there's a fourth dimension thanks to which even if you travel in a straight line, you'll keep doing circles and come back to the place you set off from? Meh, it's all too clever to understand so i'll just keep believing that the edge of the universe is full of awesome things like good food, naked birds and featherweight trials bikes.
  13. Nike cortez ***! Cheap and durable, and grip incredibly well
  14. [sarcasm]Some of us are emo, nothing wrong with that is there? [/sarcasm]
  15. well, instead of getting ripped off, why not order them somewhere else? you can get 221ti's for under 300 new somewhere in europe (forgot where, might have been the czech republic)
  16. me too, it's lovely! the hump must be there for a reason, it's probably the lowest frame on the market + intended for comp use (light) = they had to strengthen it in other ways definitely the frame i'll be getting next year
  17. That's lovely! Almost completely free of deng shit How do these frames ride? They must feel really short?
  18. I last heard the price 160 pounds. Well, it'll probably be a while till somebody in Europe gets their hands on one of them badboys.
  19. It's blatantly a joke guys
  20. That's the most accurate remark ever
  21. Pants, I was only referring to the part where you wrote that you didn't remove the anodizing before painting. If you removed the anodizing, you wouldn't have saved much weight. I have no idea how much spray paint weighs, but take into account that what you spray your bike with then has to dry. I'd be really surprised if your bike is even 300g heavier than before.
  22. Anodizing is the process of removing metal. It doesn't make things heavier, but lighter. When you apply the colour and sealant, you'll end up with about +40g on a fully anodized frame.
  23. They look really gay. The FA!TH logo with a red exclamation mark is sooo original as well. I'm sure the author of it never heard about V!Z. Besides, why would anybody want to pay $80 for shoes? They're about 45 pounds over here but that's still stupidly expensive considering you can get Nike Cortez shoes for half the price. Those lasted me well over 2 years and are still going strong. lol
  24. The Amazing Spider-Man 50% Maximus 50% James Bond, Agent 007 50% wow, i've got to meet those people, they must be just like me
