  1. Lovely bike! Geo seems nice as well, wouldn't mind one of these frames.
  2. The inverted Magura mounts would give you more braking power but would be incredibly difficult to set up and could cause problems. Was going to order them on my new frame, but - firstly there would be no space for a brake booster, secondly the pistons would get in the way of cranks and without running a very wide bb or narrow rim / really thin pads you probably wouldn't be able to ride at all. Most of the frames with inverted mounts i've seen, have a really long seat tube and are far from compact. So it's either inverted mounts, or low standover which riders seem to prefer. On the other hand, it would be great on mods.
  3. I'd add TRA and Marco Grosenik to this list. TRA for making the most inspiring videos, and Marco for his smoothness and laid back attitude towards trials which affected the way i ride today. It's not a dotted U, it's a smiley. Same applies to Thomas Ohler, the O is a surprised smiley. So it's Felix M cke and Thomas hler
  4. Wow, thanks for the feedback people Running a normal maggie with coustsinks and a bb7. I'm pretty sure the frame is a long, it's not mine. And yeah i do wear my helmet, just don't put it on when going out for a very short ride. I should though edit: the bars are indeed montys, i've had some alu PA6 bar extenders made so they're now 740mm wide best bars ever in my opinion
  5. Really nice bike there Sam, you not finding the forks a bit long?
  6. Just disc mounts and horizontal 135mm dropouts. Geometry is a personal preference so there's no point in complaining about it
  7. Loved them, especially the 2002-2003. Your riding is just perfect, powerful smooth and controlled. Nice lines as well! Need more vids like that, they remind me of good old times
  8. That's unusual, Adamants were released alongside GU and Czar in late 2005.

    Sidehopping

about 40 to the left (left footed) about 42 to the right thats the height i can do fairly easily, never tried to push myself so i have no ideas about the limits sidehopping to the opposite direction to the lead foot is safer if something goes wrong.
  10. 10kgs is probably fairly standard.
  11. I think it's twisted to your right, might be the swelling that's giving such an impression though.
  12. Thanks for the replies. Some good ideas here Will look the creatine thing up first thing tomorrow. Would stretching after riding help in any way?
  13. Had a short ride on the Control, set up some pallets and decided to do as many different moves as possible without changing the pallets position. One attempt per move, didn't repeat something I couldn't do first time. Riding is a bit shit but I really don't like that frame. Gaps are great but the rest is a bit more difficult. 14. Probably a Triton or something along those lines, you can get the geometry the way you like it. They're strong and apparently very springy which is basically a blend of Koxx/Monty and Deng frames.
  15. In about a weeks time i'm going up into the mountains for 10 days to ride rocks. Planning to ride non stop if the weather will be ok but there's one problem. Usually after a day of proper riding I need at least 2 days of rest due to my arms aching very badly and having almost no strength at all. So out of 10 days I'll be up there, I'll only get about 3 days of proper riding. Is there anything I can do to keep me going for a few days non stop? I usually stretch before riding... will probably be eating sausages pizzas and chocolate. Dunno what else might be important. Post away!
  16. How long did it take him to make the square holes and what did he do them with? Hoping there might be a quicker way than using a file.
  17. I was trying to be inventive. The truth is that Deng probably can't stop spanking the monkey ever since he thought of that amazing idea... and discontinuing the current design / introducing the new design is the only thing that can save his balls from imploding.
  18. Could never really get into The Simpsons (much prefer Family Guy and American Dad) but I saw it and really enjoyed it. Expected it to be a bit better, but it was definitely worth the watch.
  19. I'm sure i could help you here, but i don't understand the term "pumping" in this context :$
  20. My guess is manufacturing defects
  21. Greetings

    Öhler

Well, I guess all Ryan's moves will go on the DVD and that's why they weren't included in this video. Great find!
  22. Was posted a whle ago Nick, great idea though! Really like it when people experiment with their bikes
  23. Youtube Video -> Original Video edit: the same style, after 14 years of evolution Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  24. Yeah, but they tuck because they have to in order to go bigger. The point is that many riders just land on the wall and then tuck which is pointless. If it looks good to them (and it probably does seeing as this thread has got a huge amount of replies) that's fine. Small moves that looks good are always better than huge riding which looks shit. And the pros seem to have been learning this move very gradually. I'd like to know how high TRA would sidehop if he learned to tuck like Matt Awkward (?)
