Discs are pointless on stock bikes. If you really want one though, you'll be better off with a BB7 than a Hope.

Difficult to comment really. The guy is right about how fun freeride can be. It's a broad term though, to me freeride is a mixture of downhill and bits of xc. To others it'll be the most extreme bicycle sport. I don't understand why so many people dislike trials, i've always thought of it as a great sport even when i spent 90% of my riding time on a downhill bike. I actually find these comments about trials really annoying, what do people want to prove by saying such things? Or maybe they just don't have enough character and constantly have to prove to themselves that their sport is superior to others.

It takes such a long time that some other Chinese scam artist (seach chit-chat for "Bianchi roadbike") took advantage of that and put up lots of +3k worth bikes on ebay for pennies. Paypal accepts returns within 45 days of purchase and he wrote that shipping would take 40 business days. Easy to calculate how he could get away with sending nothing even when payment was done through PP.

Yep, it does more than just remove the bearings but i doubt many people would be using it for anything else. Tried to make one but there's an expanding mandrel in that device that has to fit perfectly into the hub. Couldn't find one. Here's a vid of this tool in action in case you're interested, it's actually quite basic: tv.isg -> kingservice.avi Haven't got a technical drawing but a hub should be enough to get the measurements. If one day you get really bored, make me one and i'll buy it.

That's the difference in pad size between the BB5 and BB7. BB7 pads have almost twice the area.

There are lots of advantages of going to the opposite direction to your lead foot and i'm sure you'll find them if you do a search. Can you name more than 1 very good rider who don't sidehop that way?

It's just a matter of practice. Stop sidehopping to your lead foot completely and do everything, no matter how small it is, to the opposite direction. In my case it took about 3 days to learn, i'd only do sidehops and nothing else. Good luck

Try-All rear rim, mine weighed over 800g, it's about 700 on their website, Eagle Claw bashplate is 195g with bolts and not 166g. The Monty freewheel is also heavier than stated on the website. There's quite a few of these "mistakes", don't remember all of them. And before you ask, my scales are fine Out of the ones I checked, they got the Hognesium pedals, Tensile craks and bash right.

Judging by it's weight it's not going to be weak. It probably weighs over 800g which is already enough to make a structurally weak rim strong. I wouldn't go by the weights shown on Tartybikes, some of them are bollocks.

Wow, that had EVERYTHING in it. Music was really different to the usual which is great. One of the best vids I've seen this year. Pitty it's in such crap quality.

Got lots of them at home. They're very light and soft, rear one is just over 1000g which is less than the Try-All and about as much as the Maxxis (both of those tyres are narrower). Most of my customers said they love them, rate them much higher than the CC's and some think they're better than Try-Alls. They are also quite wear resistant. Can't give a personal opinion as I'm still building up a mod.

Must be great to have a brand new oldschool bike. My mate had one of these, I think it lasted 3 years of hard riding then fell apart. Quite impressive It was the first novelty bike in my city, I remember how other riders commented it's very high-bb rise haha. Back then most of them had a bb-drop on their frames.

Out of the two I'd choose the Czar. High-bb frames suck, I've been struggling with mine for almost 10 months and I really really hate it. Still don't understand how you can't decide between the two. They've got totally different geometry, people won't help you choose a frame if you don't tell us about what kind of riding you're into and what you expect from a frame.

Coustsinks all the way. I've been running mine for about 10 months now on a harsh grind and they have very little wear. They're also by far the best pads I've ever had and perform brilliantly even in rain.
