Never rode the Musclemans but Echo 6061's are totally crap. The taper should last you about a month. It's just an awful material, I had some Zoo CNC 05 cranks which lasted me about 5 weeks 3 weeks of on and off riding, then I had to modify the taper because I could take the cranks off without any tools.

Looks like the drivers have learned not to take any notice of them. Really impressive, I recall seeing a program about these messengers on Discovery, the hospitals are full of them.

Over here they just call me Inur, but seeing as it's pretty hard to pronounce in English (needless to say - impossible) I was called Alex or "this Polish guy" on a few rides in Britain. Maybe that's because my surname is also difficult to pronounce in English.

Guess that when 24" bikes become very popular, 22" bikes will come out, as a good balance between 20" and 24". Then when 22" bikes become popular, a 21" bike will be made so that people can ride a bike which has the advantages of a 22" and 20" bike. I thought Jake would mention titanium holes but it looks like Wright Pads have taken over his world already. Still, I guess nobody is stopping us from having fun on a good old fashioned trials bike? The only thing is that they don't ride too well. The 231 X-Lite had 400mm chainstays and a 1040 wheelbase if I remember correctly. Now that's a bit wrong.

Bollocks. Ground a 2006 Echo rim at home and had no problems at all. There's always lots of dust when you grind a rim which has anodized sidewalls. I wouldn't wouldn't do it though, they're weak enough without one.

I guess it depends on what your riding style is and what techniques you'd like to use. There's a big difference between how people ride stock bikes and mods. If you're an aggressive rider, stick to a mod. If you're looking for something a bit smoother, maybe more creative and more challenging, go for a stock. This is only my opinion, I guess many people won't agree with it but that's the way I see it (at least from what people show on videos).

Just pour water over the disc and ride around with the brake on for like 30 seconds, repeat that a few times and I can bet my boots you'll have a very strong brake in no time. If you think about it, the process of bedding in a brake is all about the pads polishing the rotor. If you've ever done some polishing, you will know that the best way to use fine sand paper (1200) is with water.
